Aptitude Test
"What's up, haters?" Jenna asked her cell phone camera as stood outside a high rise in mid-town Manhattan. "This is a shout out to all the jealous bitches who just graduated with me from Jefferson High School in fucking no-wheres-ville with your stupid college acceptance letters and your sad little jobs," she continued, watching herself carefully in the screen to make sure her hair was catching the shine off the afternoon sun. "Just wanted to let you know that this 'Queen Bitch,' as I know you all called me behind my back, has an interview at a real life law firm in fucking New York City. I would love to tell you which one. They're on TMZ every other day because they represent every major actor and singer you losers worship, but they made me agree to a non-disclosure before I could even interview because they're that elite. Unlike you pathetic people," she finished, adding an exaggerated frown for effect. "Maybe I didn't get an A on every test, cause I was too busy having an actual life, but according to the firm's personality and aptitude test, I am one in a million."
Truth be told, after clicking on the application, and being directed to the test, Jenna did not remember much. But she definitely remembered the screen congratulating her on such an outstanding "susceptibility score", whatever that was, and prompting her to enter her information, including relationships with family. For Jenna, that had been a very short answer. To say they weren't close was an understatement. She always knew she was too good for them, and that test had only proven it.
Jenna tossed her long hair back over her shoulder before giving the camera what she thought of as a sarcastic wink. "Too bad, so sad. Enjoy your small little lives, cause this 'Queen Bitch' is never coming back."
Jenna felt her stomach do a little swoop as the executive elevator surged upwards. Seconds later, the doors smoothly opened onto the opulent lobby of Ipnosi Legal. Jenna pulled back her shoulders, and smoothed a hand down the front of the tight black dress she'd taken from her mother's closet. Not that she'll even notice I'm gone, thought Jenna bitterly, her rotating collection of boyfriends keeps her too busy.
Jenna schooled her features, determined not to look overly impressed at anything. No, she thought, it would be better to pretend that she was totally used to shiny marble floors and sparkling crystal chandeliers.
"Miss Javenson?" a man's voice called out from an open door that Jenna hadn't noticed across the lobby. "You are Miss Javenson, aren't you?"
Jenna recognised him immediately. He was often seen escorting celebrities in and out of court. She pasted on her brightest smile and strode towards him. "Yes, I'm Jenna Javenson. So nice to meet you, Mr. Ipnosi." Jenna felt a slight sweat breakout on her forehead, but reminded herself that she was too much of a bitch to be nervous. She just hadn't expected to be meeting with the senior partner himself.
Mr. Ipnosi glanced at her forehead, and almost seemed to smirk at the tiny beads of sweat that Jenna was sure were popping out of her skin. "Miss Javenson, I am so happy to have you here. I trust that the private jet ride from Indiana, and the limo from the airport were to your satisfaction?" he asked, ushering Jenna into a small, windowless room. As she walked in, Jenna had to clench her jaw to keep it from dropping as she saw, affixed to the far wall, the largest television she'd ever seen.
At first, Jenna thought that the room's only pieces of furniture were the deeply cushioned chair that sat in the center of the room facing television, and the tiny table next to it, until she noticed a small office chair against the wall. She moved towards the smaller chair, thinking how demure and respectful it would look to Mr. Ipnosi to leave the more comfortable chair for him.
"Miss Javenson, please, you're my guest. You take this seat," he said, gesturing towards the nicer seat. Jenna was happy to acquiesce. He was right. She was the guest, afterall.
"The flight was amazing," answered Jenna as she sank down onto the velvet covered seat. She was tempted to complain about the flight attendant who seemed to sense that Jenna wasn't one of the blue bloods that the G5 usually whisked around the globe. The glorified stewardess was dismissive of Jenna's requests to adjust the temperature and change the movie. "Everything was perfect," Jenna lied smoothly, thinking that the next time she took the private jet, something she could see herself doing quite a bit, it would be actually perfect because she'd have that mean stewardess fired.
"My son Cyrus will be joining us. I've gotten a bit old to enjoy onboarding new sla-- staff. Let me just go grab him. I think he's still interviewing one or two of the other candidates. Can I get you anything? A water perhaps? Or a soda?"
Jenna liked the idea of this powerful man serving her, and asked for a bottle of water. Mr. Ipnosi assured her that he'd be right back, and stepped out, closing the door behind him. She tried not to stew in her chair. She hadn't thought about other candidates. The emails she exchanged made it sound like she was all but assured a job, the interview being little more than a formality. A moment later, Jenna thought she heard a barely audible click from outside the door, followed by the sound of two women speaking.
"Oh. Em. Gee. Nikki, that aptitude test was totes hard AF," the first voice said.
"Right?" answered the second voice, presumably Nikki. "I think I figured out the pattern, but I'm not sure. I had to look away a couple of times to scratch an itch, and I took off the headphones for a few minutes 'cause they weren't comfy. What about you, Ashley?"
"Nikki!" the first voice, Ashley, admonished, "there is no way you figured out the pattern if you didn't keep your focus on the screen the whole time. I tried to not even blink. And you took off the headphones? They were half the pattern, dumbass! There is no way you're getting the job. Guess that's good for me though."
Jenna had just gotten up from her seat, thinking she might be able to eavesdrop better if she pressed her ear to the door, when she heard a second click. The door swung open. Jenna didn't see either of the two women, but Mr. Ipnosi and a younger man who must've been Cyrus strode into the room. The son was quite a bit taller than his father, and leaned down to mumble into his father's ear what sounded like, "That is completely outdated. And I can't believe you're still using a cassette player," before receiving a sharp elbow to the ribs from his dad. It must have been some kind of inside joke though, cause Cyrus just laughed it off.
Cyrus gave Jenna a long up and down look. "Hey, Jenna. I'm Cyrus. I know from my father you did amazing on our online aptitude test. Finding the pattern in those swirls and lines is incredibly difficult. And, per your personality test, you're strongly reward oriented. You really are one in a million."
"But," said Mr. Ipnosi, "there are almost nine million people in NYC alone, so one in a million isn't as special here as it would be back home. I am afraid you'll need to take one more test. It's like the one you took already, but a bit more intense. You'll see patterns on this screen," he said, gesturing to the nearly wall-sized television, "and have on a pair of headphones. You need to figure out the audio visual pattern. Don't worry though, you'll have plenty of time. It'll play on a loop for an hour."
Jenna nodded, and allowed Cyrus to put a large pair of headphones over her ears as she sat back down. She could immediately hear funny beats that almost seemed to have words whispering just outside of hearing range. Cyrus then clicked on the television. Spirals started to spin, filling her vision as they weaved and intersected across the screen. Mr. Ipnosi set the bottle of water, cap already removed for her, on the small table. Remembering the overhead conversation from the two girls whom Jenna assumed must be up for the same job, she glued her eyes to the screen as the two men slipped out.
She took several swallows of the water. It tasted a little funny, but she reasoned that it must be some expensive brand. She didn't dare look away from the screen to check the label. There was no way she was losing this job to Nikki or Ashley or anyone else. Something about what she just thought niggled her brain. "This job," she mumbled aloud. What was this job? As excited as she was for it, she suddenly realized that she couldn't quite remember what job it was she'd applied for. The thought was quickly drowned out when the volume on her headphones suddenly went up.
She could almost, almost make out the words that whispered to her, called to her from behind the beats. "Submit," they whispered into Jenna's subconscious. "You're so aroused. You need to submit so you can cum. You need to cum so badly. You need to submit so badly." But the headphones had been carefully calibrated so Jenna wouldn't be able to consciously understand what she was being told.
Because she couldn't understand the voices, she tried to follow the pattern on the screen. They danced and moved and spun together. I've almost got the pattern, Jenna thought. I just need to keep my eyes on the screen. There were words here too. They swirled from the outer edge inwards, compelling her eyes to follow, disappearing into the center just a little too fast for her to read. "Need to cum," the words on the screen said. "Need so, so badly to obey. Obedience is pleasure. You need pleasure. You need pleasure. You need to obey and come." But Jenna had never been a fast reader, so the words slipped right past her conscious mind.
Jenna felt like she'd been staring at the screen for hours, but that couldn't be right. Cyrus had said the test was only an hour. But she couldn't look away. She needed this job. This job... whatever it was.
When the tingling between her legs started, she tried to ignore it. She took deep breaths, and even chugged the rest of her funny tasting water, but that had only made it worse. Finally, she slipped her hand up her dress and rubbed herself over her panties. Just a little, she assured herself, just to take the edge off. But as if someone had been watching, the moment she started rubbing, the brightness on the television increased, and the volume on the headphones ratchetted up again. The words she couldn't see or hear bombarding her mind that had been made loose and open by the drugged water. "You need to cum so, so badly, but cannot. You cannot cum without permission. You need to submit. You need to obey. Obedience is pleasure. Submit. Obey. Cum." the voices chanted.
The words wound around and through Jenna for hours and hours as she stared, slacked jawed, at the screen. One hand rubbed between her legs, the other gripped the arm of the chair. She didn't exactly hear Cyrus enter the room, didn't exactly see him pulling the office chair over next to her, facing away from the impossibly bright television, didn't exactly feel him use a handkerchief to carefully wipe the drool from her chin, or take off the headphones that she'd forgotten she was wearing.
What she did feel was him pulling her hand away from her encouraged clit. "No, no, please, need to cum," she argued, trying to yank her arm back.
"I know, sweet little thing, that's why I'm here." She stopped fighting when he replaced her exhausted fingers with his own. "See, nice and calm, that's right. Time for the last step in the hiring process," he murmured into ear. "Time to submit."
Jenna could feel a fresh wave of arousal hit her when she heard those words. But in some corner of her mind, it felt like something was wrong. Was him touching her like this a normal part of an interview? No. No, it definitely wasn't. "I..." she trailed off immediately, her thoughts scattered by the pressure between her legs. She tried again. "I need to go. I need to leave." But her body just sat there. Something like dulled panic tried to rise in her chest. She wasn't sure why, but she was instantly sure that she shouldn't be here, in this windowless room, in this fancy building, in this huge city where no one knew anyone. "I need to leave, please." She squeezed her eyes shut against the swirls and patterns. She didn't want to find the pattern anymore.
"That's not what you need." Cyrus chuckled darkly, never ceasing the perfect pressure and rhythm against her clit. "You need to submit," he reminded her. "You need to cum. Once you submit, you can cum. And when you cum, all that nice programming will lock into place, and you'll never want to leave again. You'll want only to serve our clients with whatever sick kinks the public can't find out about. But first SUBMIT!" The last word was shouted, and Jenna had to bite her lip to stop herself from falling over the edge into bliss. "Submit. Obey. Cum. You need it, Jenna. You need to cum."
And he was right. She did need to cum. When pushed her panties to the side, and slipped a finger inside her, then rubbed his fingertip against that clump of nerves deep within, her eyes popped open, and the patterns and swirls and words pushed push pushed into her mind. Jenna tried so hard not to come, that when her body finally betrayed her, she came harder than she ever had in her life, moaning and squirming as the fight and panic drained out of her onto the chair. "No, no, please, no, nooo ohh ohhhhh god, yes yes yessss nnnnnnnnnn."
"That's my good girl," murmured Cyrus as he continued to rub her clit and massage her g-spot through the last aftershocks of her orgasm before withdrawing his soaked fingers. "Welcome to Ipnosi Legal. I think you'll be very happy here."
Jenna nodded absently. Yes, she thought, as much as she was still able to form her own thoughts, anyway. Happy here.
