Becoming My Professor's Muse Pt. 02
In Iris' attempt to forget the events of Friday (soaking through her panties while modeling for Professor Brenn), she spent most of the weekend with Eddie. He was the boyfriend she needed him to be. The two of them splurged and got carry-out and Eddie studied while Iris put in some part-time job applications on her phone. Eddie could sense that something was bothering his girlfriend and hope that he could cheer her up. He even let her convince him to watch the Pride & Prejudice miniseries which was her got-to comfort show. By Sunday, Iris was beginning to seem like her normal self until--
"Did you end up having another session with Professor Brenn?" asked Eddie, inadvertently ruining his girlfriend's peace.
"Yeah, but that's probably the last one." she replied, hoping to sound casual.
"Still, it's pretty cool. He's going to unveil some new pieces at the school's next exhibition before they are displayed at the city museum. It's crazy to think there might be a picture of you in the new collection."
Oddly, Iris had never considered that the pictures she modeled for would be shared with anyone. Her sessions with the Professor felt so intimate and secluded that they seemed a private world unto themselves. The thought of strangers perusing their pictures reminded Iris of how few clothes she wore at the end of the last session. Her anxiety grew once again.
"Hey, I'm going to head to my room and take a nap. I'm kind of beat." she said.
"Oh, alright. I guess I'll see you later then."
Eddie could feel that something was off with Iris but didn't press the issue. She seemed stressed and irritable over the past week and, whenever Eddie asked what was the matter, Iris became annoyed with him. So, he gave her the space she wanted.
Eddie had been a good distraction from Iris' worries until he brought up the taboo subject of their professor. Now, Iris needed something else to get her mind off what bothered her. Generally, she would have done some schoolwork, but she was so far ahead after her marathon a couple days prior that even she found it hard to justify getting further ahead. Iris walked through central campus and found the and tried to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.
"Hey, Tight-Pants! You wanna play frisbee with us?" shouted the stoner from the other day.
The offer turned out to be just the distraction Iris was looking for. She played frisbee with Brandon, the aforementioned stoner, and his friends Zack and Tabitha. The three of them were the same year as Iris and, though they weren't the most serious group, they seemed nice and reminded her of some of the friends from high school who she'd lost touch with over the past year.
Iris was terrible at frisbee and had to repeatedly run off to retrieve her poor throws. It became something of a running gag, every time she ran off to get the disc, Brandon would joke about how much he liked watching her chase after it. The whole thing seemed innocent enough and even Tabitha got into it, catcalling Iris as she bent to pick up the frisbee.
"We were going to get some pizza and eat at the student center if you want to join." said Tabitha after the four of them had been tossing the frisbee for a while.
Iris agreed to eat with her new friends. The group of them bought cheap pizza and occupied some couches in the basement of the student center. They talked about their majors -- Tabitha was in nursing school, Zack had no idea, and Brandon was in graphic design.
"So, you might have had some classes with my boyfriend. He's an art major." said Iris.
The mood in the group shifted when she mentioned Eddie's existence for the first time. Tabitha and Zack both gave Brandon an awkward look. But before things got too heavy, Brandon clutched at his chest in an unserious mimic of a heart attack.
"Tight-Pants, how can you so casually break my heart?" he said, slumping in his seat.
"Huh?" uttered Iris haplessly.
"Don't feel too bad." said Tabitha. "You aren't his first and won't be his last unrequited love." She cradled Brandon sympathetically in her arms.
"Unrequited?!" said Brandon sitting up. "Like I'm going to give up on her."
Brandon's playful nature kept things from getting too uncomfortable, and their group dynamic metamorphosized the event into a funny situation. The four finished their food and got to know each other better, laughing a good bit of the time. As it got late, Iris decided she really did need to get back to her dorm.
"Alright, see you around." said Brandon to Iris on her way out. "Consider what I said about keeping me for a backup in case boyfriend turns out to be a jerk."
"Probably not." said Iris kindly as she waved goodbye to the three of them.
"No problem, maybe second alternate then. I'll get your number from Tabitha, and we'll sort out the details."
It wasn't what she expected from the day, but her encounter with the three new, possible friends was a welcome respite. She loved Eddie, but for the past week, when they were together, a bubbling undertone of foolish thoughts about the Professor hummed in the back of her head. She just needed time off from hating herself.
As usual, her room was empty when she arrived. Iris had only seen her roommate once in the past week. She plopped on her bed and opened her laptop to check email, and there it was, sitting like a timebomb.
URGENT
Iris, come to my office hours tomorrow promptly at 9am. I have something we need to discuss.
Brenn
On reading the email, the vague circling terror inside of Iris' mind crystalized into an all-encompassing yet irrational idea. She imagined that somehow the Professor knew what she had been thinking at the end of their last session and that every unfaithful and wanton thought which crossed her mind had been disclosed to him by her immodest body. She hadn't told a soul of her desire, but believed it had somehow been unmasked and now she would face judgement for it.
Later on, she would realize that some of these anxieties were more a product of her upbringing than any doing on her part, but she was still young.
The next morning Iris did as she was told, knocking on Professor Brenn's office at 8:59. He opened the door and led her in, closing it behind her.
"Sit down." he said, gesturing to the seat in front of his desk. "I have some things to explain to you about Friday's session Iris."
"Alright." she said apprehensively.
"It's kind of a complicated situation we need to discuss. I've been working on my next show for some time, but I haven't been completely happy with the project. And, as happens to artists all the time, I was struck by inspiration at the eleventh hour.
While I was sketching you, I had a flood of ideas and understood which direction I wanted to go in. I held it all in my mind, but I also realized there were problems with the new course and in my frustration over those problems I stormed out.
Sorry about that.
The crux of the issue is you. There's limited time for me to get done what I need to get done if I upheave this entire project, and there's no reason for me to attempt it without your commitment. But, then there's the complicating factor that you're my student. Generally, I don't use models who are enrolled in my classes -- to avoid any conflict of interest."
The words spilled out of Brenn like he was unloading a heavy burden, and it took Iris a while to recognize that her previously established fears had nothing to do with their current meeting.
"Is there some way I can help?" said Iris.
"I don't even know that it's fair for me to ask." said Brenn. "Ideally you weren't my student; ideally we'd have a year to work together; hell, in an ideal world you would be modeling nude. Yeah, I shouldn't have said that. If you leave and need to report me, I won't hold it against you. I'm just sort of spinning right now."
"Does it have to be me, for your subject?"
"Yes." he said, looking her right in the eye.
"I want to help."
Iris was almost giddy as she left the Art Building. She believed that the elevated feeling was because of her reprieve -- the fictitious pardon of her fictitious wrongdoing -- but that wasn't the cause. Before Iris came down from her high, she'd already made it halfway across campus, cutting a direct line for Eddie's dorm.
"Hey, what's up?" asked Eddie, surprised to see Iris show up at his door.
"I just needed something." said Iris. She began unfastening her pants as she entered his room.
"Sorry, I wasn't expecting you. I need to leave for work in like ten."
She held Eddie close and kissed him passionately, grinding her body against his. Iris was needful and wasn't about to stop and consider where those feelings were coming from.
Eddie pulled off his shirt as Iris locked the door. She helped him strip naked as they stumbled to his bed. Iris left on her tight black rib-knit sweater but took off her pants and then did something that was rare for her. She removed her panties and straddled Eddie's who lay on his back. His penis engorged quickly as he stared at Iris' soft dark patch of pubes. She spat into her hands and started to rub his cock. He had never seen her spit before, and the crude nature of it aroused him incredibly. In fact, everything she was doing aroused him. Eddie's typically demure girlfriend was coming after him with an unashamed excitement that he'd never seen from her.
Iris was taken over, driven by a want of something she seldom sought. Eddie was enjoying himself but missing the larger point as his girlfriend played with his firm erection directly in front of her starving vagina. For Iris, it seemed that her position in respect to Eddie's erection communicated what she wanted, but he wasn't taking the hint. Frustrated but not discouraged, Iris decided to make her point more obvious.
She lifted her leg, unambiguously splaying open her dewy pink vagina, and slid herself forward so her inner lips rested against the bottom of his penis. Iris was restless and made her wants obvious. Eddie took her by the hips, and she began to grind against him, her spread entrance gliding appetizingly along the bottom of his cock.
Iris needed it, but she wouldn't go any further herself. Eddie needed to show some backbone. She was right there and wet and all he needed to do was pull her hips forward a little bit. But he didn't, and Iris watched with antipathy as Eddie's body went stiff and quivered and the come oozed out of him and onto her massaging hands. She knew how much he wanted to have sex with her, but the coward chickened out. As unfair as it might have been, she resented him for it. Eddie said something vaguely appreciative to Iris as she wiped her semen covered hands off on his sheets, but she didn't hear it.
"I managed to schedule another session with Professor Brenn." said Iris. For some reason her mind jumped back to that subject.
The couple were both busy that morning and rushed to get dressed. Eddie thanked his girlfriend for coming by while she tried to hide her frustration. As soon as her pants were on, Iris gave him a peck on the cheek and was out the door.
For Iris, the rest of the day flew by. All the academic necessities that typically occupied her mind were pushed to the back as she fixated upon her forthcoming modeling session. She did her nails and used an exfoliating mask and all the while thought through her last conversation with the Professor. Her rational side told her it made sense financially and there was almost no chance she'd get less than an "A" in his class independent of their sessions. So, how could there even be a conflict of interest? But there was another, more honest, part of her that kept coming back to the same part of the conversation -- the part where he mentioned nude modeling. That honest voice knew she wasn't nearly as nervous of that aspect as she should have been.
Iris put on her makeup -- just a couple touches, some liner and eyeshadow -- and brushed her hair. It rained around lunchtime and got warm and humid through the afternoon, and Iris' curls became poofy and uncooperative no matter what she tried. Instead of worrying over it, she pulled whole mess back into a huge ponytail and dressed to leave, happy that she'd at least remembered to shower this time.
Her ponytail bounced along behind her as she crossed the still-warm fall campus. The leaves were bright reds and oranges and still stayed mostly on their branches. For as agitated as Iris had been the past week, now she was calm. She saw, a ways off from her, the new friends she made, Brandon and Tabitha and Zack, but didn't try to rouse their attention as she passed.
"You made it." Said Brenn as Iris entered the studio.
Brenn was already set up at an easel, and he directed Iris to take a seat in a chair near him. It was a simple classroom chair, and Iris had just enough experience with the Professor that she didn't ask how she should situate herself. She sat and thought for a minute then crossed her legs and leaned back. Her position felt a bit too formal, so Iris turned a little and rested her arm along the top of the chairback. Brenn gave her an amused look.
"What?" Iris asked self-consciously.
"Nothing, it's just an ambitious pose."
"I'll be fine."
She could tell her spine was at an odd angle but was already committed. It only took a few minutes for the slight twinge of discomfort in her back to evolve into gnawing pain.
"Your face is telling me you're rethinking that position."
"OK." said Iris, relenting and getting up from her chair.
While she stretched and tried to work the kink out of her back, Brenn left his easel and fetched some water for the two of them. As Iris moved about the room, she caught a glimpse of the picture the Professor was working on. In the past, she'd never even tried to sneak a look, but seeing Brenn's representation of her left an indelible mark upon Iris. Even in its rough, early stages, she could appreciate its character and beauty. Was that really her? She recognized the sharp line of her nose and her eyes and the dimple on her cheek.
In a way that years of compliments and affirmations from Eddie never had, Brenn's sketch made Iris feel beautiful.
"It's turning out." said Brenn. "Or, it's a good start at least." He handed her a glass of water and considered the sketch.
The next position was easier, Iris sat at the edge of the raised platform with her feet dangling off the side. She leaned forward, elbows on knees and her face resting on her hands and stared mindlessly at the Professor as he sketched her. Her breathing was measured and calm, her internal quarrel was quiet for the moment. Brenn was lost in the flow of his work. His hand moved with practiced precision across the paper. After a while, the look on his face turned. Iris remembered it from her last session, the slightly perturbed aspect which preceded him asking Iris to remove her bra, but he didn't say anything this time.
Brenn drew a bit longer, his face periodically betraying his unstated annoyance, then suddenly, he stopped and raked his hands through his hair in frustration.
"You can take a break." he said, standing up.
"Should I be doing something different?" asked Iris, assuming his mood was her fault.
Brenn considered her question a moment before answering, "No. I can't -- We had some good sessions, but I may have gotten a bit ahead of myself before. The student angle creates certain limitations that are outside of my control."
Iris felt that she understood where the Professor was going with his line of reasoning. He was about to make the principled choice of putting an end to their sessions. But, in that moment, Iris realized she wasn't completely without say in the matter.
She took the reckless leap for the both of them. Iris stood on the platform and began to unbutton her shirt. Brenn waited next to his easel watching her. His expression betrayed no reaction, and he didn't say a word. Iris continued. Every moment of every session they had together, she felt the undeniable presence of his eyes upon her, but now that sensation was heightened considerably. Her shirt tumbled to the ground.
She reached back and unhooked the clasp of her satiny black brassier and let the garment fall off of her. Her heart raced as his eyes regarded her naked breasts. She popped the front button of her jeans and took them down and, when they were off completely, she slipped off her socks. Then, before she gave herself a moment to reconsider, Iris pulled down her simple black bikini briefs and kicked them off into a pile with her other clothes. He was her Professor, and he couldn't ask her to do these things, but she could do them herself. And so, she stood in the middle of his studio, naked of her own accord, as Brenn inspected her body.
Iris stood straight, with her graceful arms at her sides -- an unguarded pose to show her Professor Brenn what he was working with. She tried to keep rigid, but, as soon as she finished stripping, a fierce rush of adrenaline shot through her. Her breathing was fast and her body buzzed while she watched his eyes pour over her naked body. Her pale pink flesh was supple and opalesced slightly in the light. Her breasts hung finely and were distinct for their elegant, almost-pendulous upturn and pronounced nipples. As a concession to her vanity, she held in her stomach. Though, it did little to alter the appearance of her already trim midsection.
Brenn kept his face inscrutable as he watched the young woman. Her instinct was correct and, whether she appreciated it or not, the choice had saved him. He inspected her form with professional interest, but, as his gaze rolled over the bare, delicate lines of her body, her breasts, the curve of her hips, and her dark tuft of pubic hair, he could no longer hide from himself the carnal fascination he held for his student.
The Professor returned to his seat next and resumed drawing. Iris tried to maintain an expressionless demeanor, but it was challenging. As absurd as it was, Iris was no longer racked with anxiety. Much as she struggled, her face was almost beaming with self-satisfied elation. This was the natural state of things. From the day she first met him in his office and felt his intense, appraising eye upon her, Iris wanted her Professor to see her naked, and more.
"Remember what I told you on our first session, you're allowed to breathe." said Brenn.
Despite the pride Iris felt over her choice, her body was unnaturally rigid.
"Sorry." she said.
"You don't need to apologize. I'm guessing you're pretty new at this, and it takes some getting used to." He set down the lead-holder he was using for the sketch.
"Why don't we not worry about posing for a minute. You pick a comfortable seat, and we'll talk until you feel like yourself again."
The Professor gestured broadly at the array of chairs that were scattered around. Iris thought carefully and chose one of the stools and slowly walked over to it. She tremulously sat on it, facing Brenn. Her posture was strange. She leaned forward with her arms behind her for balance. Iris was taking great care to keep her legs together and, because of it, chose a position that significantly featured her breasts.
"So, anything new with you, Iris?" asked Brenn.
She snickered mildly but understood what Brenn was attempting.
"Oh no, just a regular week for me." said Iris facetiously.
By degrees, they slipped into a real conversation. Iris was a little flustered, but that was the point of the exercise. Brenn explained how, in a lot of ways, posing for an artist was like a dialogue between the two participants and, if she could become comfortable talking to him sans clothes, she would have no trouble sitting for him to draw her, theoretically.
Iris was eased after a bit and slowly became chatty. She told the Professor about her search for a major -- she thought maybe pre-law her freshman year but decided against it and was now exploring options in the business school. She told him about her family and where she was from. She even told him about the strange new trio of friends she made in the past week. But Iris never brought up Eddie. Some instinctive part of her knew not to bring up her boyfriend. While she was with Brenn, she wouldn't think of Eddie, she was free of him. Whatever guilt or confusion she had over her mutinous feelings would be left outside the studio door.
