Smoke

"Ew, wait, are you really still talking to that guy?" Casey asked, cutting her friend off as she fished for the lighter lost deep in the pocket of her oversized leather jacket. The joint perched precariously between her lips stopped her from putting quite as much venom in her words as she wanted.

"Come on, Brian's not that bad," Allie replied, trying to laugh it off. Casey felt her friend's gaze fixed on her, but she just rolled her soft dark eyes. "Hey!" Allie cried, giving her a playful shove. Casey chuckled.

"I'm sorry, L, literally the worst," Casey said. She finally found the lighter, sighing and flicking it on. The little flame danced, a stark splash of gold under Allie's dark blue LED lights.

Allie was giving a speech in defense of her taste while Casey lit the joint and took a deep breath. She held it in, feeling the heat tingle up and down her lungs, savoring the burn. She let her head fall back and blew it out in a smooth stream as Allie continued steadily. Casey shrugged.

"You've been dating almost since we met, and he still treats you like shit," Casey replied, still gazing up at the ceiling. So much had happened in those two years since they'd been freshman roommates. Enough time for Allie to switch to med school. Enough time for Casey to realize what she really wanted. Enough time for two friends to drift apart.

"No, it hasn't been that long!" Allie protested, carefully dodging the second half of Casey's point. Casey still didn't look at her, Allie, cornered, continued. "We broke up for a while." That finally got Casey to pull her head up.

"And you took him back?" She cried, bursting into hollow laughter. Allie gave her another push and put on an offended look.

"What?" Allie retorted. "We have fun together." Memories flooded back to Casey. All the nights Allie would beg Casey to let her and Brian have the room for a few hours. Eventually it was almost every night. And she always said yes, even if she didn't have anywhere to go. She never could say no when Allie asked.

"If you say so," Casey replied, taking another long drag.

"Like you're Ms. Perfect, I've heard about you, you know," Allie said, a mischievous grin on her face. "I heard all about you and Joan. And you and Maria." Casey took the bait, she couldn't help it.

"Oh my god!" She cried. "What are you, stalking me or something?" She laughed.

"I know we fell out of touch, Casey, but we still have mutual friends," Allie answered, still smiling.

"Jesus. Was it Liz? I'm gonna fucking kill her." Casey groaned. Allie shrugged innocently.

"I'm just saying..." Allie said, drawing out her words as long as she could. "Sounds like you know a thing or two about having fun. I don't know if you have a leg to stand on here." She winked.

"Don't even," Casey replied. Her mind was wandering. Even if someone told her, Allie must've asked. Allie must have been thinking about her, asking about her. No one would just tell those stories for no reason. Casey giggled. Maybe Allie had been thinking about her for a long time too. She stopped herself there, before her fantasy carried her away.

Allie laughed and held out her hand. Casey passed the joint over and laid back. She was at the head of the bed, leaning against Allie's pillows. Her bed was so soft.

Casey looked over at Allie as she exhaled. There were just a few inches between them. Maybe it was just the weed, but Allie glowed under the neon lights. Her messy bangs framing her face as her wide brown eyes watched end of the joint flare and smolder. Allie glanced back to hand it over, and noticed Casey's gaze.

"What are you looking at?" She chuckled. Casey leaned forward and took the joint, but she didn't lean back. She wanted to stay close.

"Nothing," Casey said, keeping her gaze on Allie as her hand rose lazily to her lips. As she inhaled the hot smoke, she swept her eyes across the space. "I really like your room," she said. Just like her bed, everything in Allie's space was not exactly tidy, but it was thoughtful. Intentional.

It was nothing like Casey's. Her walls were all posters half-overlapping each other and sloppy blackout curtains that only mostly kept out the sun.

"Oh, thanks," Allie said, breaking into a smile. "I'm glad you're finally seeing it. It's so weird you've never been here before."

"Yeah," Casey murmured. She tried to remember the horrible little dorm room they'd shared, but she couldn't picture it. Maybe it had been too long, or she hadn't enough inside that nightmare for it to make an impression greater than dread. Allie slide closer, brushing against Casey leg, and reached over. She plucked the joint from Casey's lips and took a drag.

They sat there quietly for a moment, both holding a breath of fragrant smoke deep in their lungs. Casey was starting to feel it. It always started in her head. Her head felt so heavy as her body became weightless.

"What about you, didn't you say you had a date coming up?" Allie asked. Casey beckoned Allie to hand the weed back with two fingers. She took another deep breath before she replied.

"Yeah, she's nice but I think we'll probably end up just being friends," Casey said. The thought of that date just slid off her, all she could think about was Allie. Right there in front of her.

"Maybe I should go out with a girl," Allie whispered, almost under her breath. Casey's heart skipped a beat. She thought she must've misheard. She'd never heard Allie hint at that before.

"Really?" She asked, trying not to sound too hopeful.

"Did I say that out loud?" Allie cried, horrified. After a beat with her mouth hanging slightly open from shock, she tried to laugh it off. "I don't know, maybe." She added, taking the joint back.

Casey barely noticed. The tingling heat was making its way down her body. Her mind was starting to wander again. She was almost embarrassed of the fantasy bubbling up in her, with Allie so close. It was exhilarating. She was in Allie's bed. Their legs were pressing against each other. She could feel the heat radiating out of Allie's body. And in her mind, her hands were inching up Allie's leg, pulling her in, kissing up her neck.

Allie took another hit, letting her eyes fall on Casey as she let it out. She just looked at her, as the joint slowly burned down between her fingertips. Casey's dark, glassy eyes gazed back. Allie only managed to hold their eye contact for a moment before hers dropped and she chuckled.

"It's probably just this stuff talking," she said, holding up the joint. Casey didn't laugh.

"You really think so?" She retorted. Allie looked back over. Her face wasn't particularly confident. She felt Casey's eyes on her. Seeing through her. She shifted nervously.

"I don't know. I guess I have been thinking about it, lately," Allie said. "I just. I. I don't know. What's it like? Kissing a girl?"

There was a twinkle in Casey's eye. She rocked forward and slid a little closer to Allie.

"Wanna find out?" She asked, a mischievous smile on her lips. Allie cocked her head, her mind processing slowly through the smoky haze. Then her eyes widened.

"What?" She asked, her voice wavering a little. Casey didn't let her weasel out of their eye contact. She could see on Allie's face that Allie knew exactly what she meant. In a single, smooth motion, Casey shifted to sit right in front of Allie. Allie sat with her legs up to her chest, like she was hiding behind them. Casey gently pushed Allie's legs apart and leaned in. She could smell the smoke on Allie's breath as she gasped in short, nervous breathes.

"What do you think?" Casey asked, her dilated eyes gleaming. "There's only one way to find out."

"I don't know, I--" Allie stammered.

"It's just a kiss," Casey said, innocently. Her lips almost brushing Allie's as she spoke. She reached forward, brushing the hair out of Allie's eyes and letting her fingers glide down her cheek. Casey felt Allie's body go still. Like that touch was all it took to quiet her fears. There was a sudden clarity in her drowsy eyes.

Allie swept froward and locked their lips together. Casey was caught by surprise for a split second, before she kissed back just as passionately. Allie's lipgloss tasted faintly of citrus.

As Casey leaned into the kiss, she took the smoldering remains of the joint out of Allie's limp hand. She couldn't tear herself away to look for the ash tray, so she fumbled around for it while her other hand cupped Allie's face. Her skin was so soft.

One of Allie's hands ran down Casey's shoulder and the other played with the zipper of her jacket. Allie wasn't satisfied, though. She'd gotten a taste and she already wanted more. Her mouth was watering. She pulled Casey in until she was almost laying between her legs. Her tongue slid between her lips and tasted Casey's.

Casey felt electric. Even through the thick leather of her jacket, she burned at Allie's touch. She could hardly believe it was real. She'd pictured this exact moment; laying in her bed, her hands slowly sliding down her body. But the fantasy could never compare to the gentle, explosive contact.

Allie's hand slipped under Casey jacket and rubbed along her chest. Hunger coursed through Casey's body from the touch and she shuddered into Allie's hand. Her mouth parted and Allie's tongue filled the space. As Allie's tongue filled her mouth and Allie's hand snuck up her side and along her chest, Casey moaned softly into her.

Allie groaned too as they rubbed together. Casey ran her hand down Allie's neck and along the collar of her shirt. Her chest rose and fell rabidly as Allie tried to get air in. Casey reached down and rested her hands on Allie's thighs. She rubbed them up and down gently as her tongue probed deeper. Allie welcomed her in, almost panting.

Casey guided Allie's legs to a more comfortable position, and she climbed into Allie's lap. Allie's eyes were closed as she lost herself in the kiss, and she let out a giggle of excitement as she felt Casey straddle her. Her hands slid further down to hold Casey hips. Casey rocked her hips back and forth on her lap while her hands ran back up Allie's body.

Casey pushed Allie back against the wall to get a better look at her. There was an almost dazed look an Allie's soft features. Her eyes were so wide as she looked up at Casey. Casey held her chin and smiled.

"So, what do you think?" Casey asked, chuckling and biting her lip as she looked down at Allie. Allie swallowed. Her mind was blank, she couldn't think of anything but the kiss. As her words failed her, Allie craned forward to try to get another taste. Casey giggled and let her, wrapping an arm around the back of Allie's head and pulling her in. Her back arched and she massaged Allie's lap with her hips.

After a long, desperate kiss, Casey pulled away and looked into Allie's eyes. She rubbed her thumb along Allie's cheek, while her other hand teased up her stomach. Casey watched Allie's eyes flutter as her fingers pressed lightly along the curves of her chest. Allie moaned softly as Casey's hands explored her. Casey giggled into her ear as she realized Allie wasn't wearing a bra underneath.

Allie whimpered into Casey's neck as her fingers played with her. Allie's chest heaved under her touch. Casey kissed down her neck as two of her fingers teased up the curve of Allie's breast and circled the nipple that pressed through the thin fabric. Allie's breath caught as Casey's other hand slipped under her shirt and pulled it up.

Casey's lips traced down Allie's chest as she pulled her shirt up. She tugged Allie forward with her shirt, and then slid it up and over her head. Her hand pressed in and massaged Allie's breast as she tossed the shirt aside.

Casey's eyes flashed up at Allie's flushed face for a moment, before her lips pressed against Allie's nipple. Just the kiss was enough for Allie to lean into her and cry out softly. Between her lips, Casey's tongue eagerly tasted Allie's body for the first time.

Allie's head fell back against the wall. Casey had only just started and she was already feeling better than she remembered she could. Casey's hands felt amazing. There was something in her fingers that Allie couldn't name, that she could barely even process. So gentle and so strong. So light and so perfect. She knew exactly where to touch. Casey coaxed an utterly new ecstasy out of her.

Casey's mouth felt the softness of Allie's skin and the firmness of her body. The scent of her skin, her sweat, the weed, all blended into one intoxicating aura. Allie's body was so hot against her. Casey longed for more of her skin to feel that heat. Allie's breath came slow and heavy. Casey felt the rhythm of it under her as Allie gasped for more and more and air. As she cried out without words.

Parting with a long, slow circle of the tongue, Casey began to kiss down Allie's side. Allie took a moment to process, but Casey felt Allie's body almost stiffen as she kissed lazily down her. When she started undoing Allie's belt and inching down her jeans, a shiver ran through Allie's body.

Casey paused, her fingers pressing into Allie's hips and her chin resting on her bare thigh. She looked up, with her wide, hungry eyes, and waited. One last moment to turn back. She waited for Allie to tell her to stop. Although it only lasted a second, Allie had time to think. Casey watched her play out in her eyes, and any reservations she might have had died as met Casey's gaze.

"It's just a kiss, right?" Allie said, breathlessly. Casey giggled, and took Allie's panties in her teeth. She pulled them down so slowly, her hands pressing and stroking Allie's hips. She kissed her way back up her inner thigh.

"Mhm, that's right, baby," Casey replied, looking up at Allie with hunger in her eyes. Allie was desperate, Casey could taste it on her legs and smell it on her skin. Casey was just as starving. Her lips left wet trails on Allie as she moved slowly, tantalizingly, up."It's just a kiss," she murmured.

Allie let her head fall back against the wall and weaved her fingers into Casey's curly hair. Casey savored the scent and taste of Allie's skin for a moment. She moved off Allie's leg with a last, sloppy parting kiss, just as her fingers slid down Allie's stomach and between her thighs. Allie's breath caught at the touch, as two of Casey's fingers stroked gently down, and back up.

Casey let her eyes casually move up Allie's body, taking in every twitch and breath, as her fingers moved. Allie was so responsive, so sensitive. Like she hadn't been touched in forever. Her lips hung open as she pulled in short gasps of air and let soft murmurs of pleasure out with every exhale.

Up and down. In and out. Casey worked her slow and steady with her fingers. She'd been waiting so long for this moment, she was content to take her time. But Allie had other ideas. Casey felt Allie's hips thrust forward, matching her tempo and begging her for more. Casey glanced up to give Allie a look, but Allie's eyes were only half open, and they were pointed up at the ceiling. Casey giggled and moved down.

Casey tasted her. Her tongue traced up and down Allie's lips, pressing between them, and finally tasting her. She felt Allie's fingers tighten in her hair. Casey couldn't hold back. She had never wanted anything more than that feeling. Of Allie quivering under her. Of her tongue exploring Allie's body. Of the smell and the sound of her pleasure. Casey's lips drank her in as her tongue rolled over Allie in tight circles.

Everything felt fuzzy. Like Casey was in a dream. As her skin pressed against Allie's, a dream and a fantasy she'd had more times than she could count, she started to lose track of her own skin. The twin highs made the edge of her body hard to keep track of. She couldn't quite tell where her body ended and Allie's began. Where Allie's pleasure ended and hers began. The only skin she knew was Allie's, was what her fingers massaged, where her mouth tasted. The ones that shook under her touch and that reached out to her when she pulled away. The only parts she was hers were the ones that Allie's body reacted to, cried out for.

Allie melted. Her eyes couldn't focus. Her muscles tensed but the strength drained out of them. Her grip on Casey's hair went limp. Allie whimpered. She squirmed under Casey, but her hands held Allie steady. The warmth and the firm pressure of Casey's hands kept Allie together as she lost herself. As the need and the hunger roared through her. And as wave after wave of bliss satisfied them.

Allie tipped over the edge; Casey went faster. The climax rushing up her body only made Casey's need stronger. Her fingers rubbed and squeezed up and down along Allie's legs, trying to feel more of her. Her tongue curled up, desperate to taste her deeper. She breathed deep, her nose pressed into the soft curly hair above Allie's clit, craving Allie in her lungs as much as her mouth. She savored every moan and every shiver as Allie's fire oversaturated every one of her senses.

And all Casey knew was she wanted more. She could never get enough of Allie. All she wanted was to drink Allie in. To soak her up. To feel their skin touching. Allie cried out and struggled as Casey kept going. It was too much. Her fingers in Casey's hair helplessly curled and opened, looking for anything to cling to as her senses were pushed past their limit. Allie knew it was too much, but she had no hope of vocalizing it. All she could do was moan and gasp for air as the pleasure fried her nerves. It was too much, but her body kept thrusting into Casey's tongue. She couldn't take it, but it was all she wanted.

Casey's steady hands gripped her hips tight as Allie's second orgasm ignited. She needed it. Her hips rocked and her back arched. Her head slumped back against the wall. Her moans blended into one as she forgot to breathe. Casey kept her even and held her down. She was as lost in the moment as Allie. She was as powerless to stop herself as Allie was. Their hunger had a life of its own.

Casey wasn't sure time was still passing. It all felt like one perfect, endless moment. A singular moment, in time and space. Her and Allie and that moment were all that was real. All she knew was that when she finally stopped, she was as wet with sweat and lust as the bed below them. She was drunk on it. Her eyes were as glassy as Allie's, barely open.

Casey kissed lovingly up Allie's side, steering her overstimulated body toward the head of the bed. Casey collapsed against the pillows and closed her eyes. Her free hand fumbled for the ashtray. The lighter flashed. Casey leaned toward it, letting out a quick puff before taking a deep, slow breath in. It was the most sated she'd ever felt in her life. Allie was still delirious, so soft in Casey's hands, who gently guided her down. As she lay Allie's head against her breast, she reached down and pressed the joint to Allie's lips. Together, they let out two streams of smoke, blending together in the hazy air.
