SPY

Heide Bierhals lived in Dresden, Germany with her parents, Dieter and Hilda. She turned twenty-one in 1934, after Hitler took control of Germany. It didn't take long for Dieter to understand how Germany would fair under Hitler and made plans to get his only daughter out of the country.

In 1938 he found someone in Antwerp that would give her a job, and she moved to Belgium. The job was with De Beers Group out of South Africa. They had a large office in Antwerp, and she started as a secretary. Her father made sure she was prepared for whatever happened to her, and made sure she learned English and French, in additional to her native German. While there, she learned Dutch, and a little Flemish. It was easy for her because Dutch and German were from the same linguistic tree. Her linguistic ability helped her move up fast in the company, and by January 1940, she handled most of their correspondence and mail.

Heinrich Gruber was a career military man. He served in the great war. After the surrender, the times were hard. The French and English made it as hard as they could for the German people. Heinrich was a Captain by then, and he held his men together as they navigated the dangerous times. He discovered a young German girl near where he was stationed. He discovered her family died during the war, and she was living on the streets, as were many people after the war. Her name was Gretchen, and she was only twenty-one. He took her into his quarters. That was not allowed, but during those days, everyone was doing what they had to do to survive. Discipline was hit and miss in what was left allowed of the German army after the war.

She took care of his quarters and ran his errands for him. She also gladly slept with him. It was a small price to pay for survival. Over time, she began taking care of his daily routine. She learned his military routine and began handling his correspondence. She became his unofficial secretary.

As the years went by, they developed into an unofficial family. By the mid 20's, she acted more like a wife than a secretary. That changed in 1924 when Heinrich informed her she'd have to leave because he had found another, younger woman he wanted. Gretchen moved in with a friend, and Heinrich brought in the new girl.

Heinrich immediately discovered that Gretchen had handled his entire daily life. He was lost without her. After six months, the new girl was irritating, and his papers were a mess. He looked for Gretchen, and they made a deal. He kicked the girl out and brought Gretchen back. This time it was with clear-eyed pragmatism by both. Heinrich admitted to Gretchen that he wanted to enjoy young women, and Gretchen admitted she wanted stability in these hard times. A deal was struck. She'd become his secretary and handle his papers. In return, he'd provide her with a place to live and a salary. By then he was a Major and was on track to become a General. Majors don't have private secretaries, but he paid her out of his own salary. He had a knack for organizing, and that was a skill much needed in the small, German army that was permitted at the time. A lot of things were overlooked those days.

He had a string of young, German blondes around for the rest of the 20's. By 1930, the situation in Germany was desperate. The people were starving, and the French and English seemed bent on making sure they stayed that way. He was a General, and the army was reorganizing under one of his plans.

When Adolph Hitler was elected Chancellor in 1933, Heinrich was torn. He was charismatic and drove the French wild. That was good to Heinrich, he hated the French and English for what they'd done to the German people. Germany hadn't started that war, and had tried to stop it, but they were made the scapegoats after it was over. The German people were starving, angry, and in no mood for reconciliation. Hitler said out loud what most were thinking; we need to become strong enough that everyone else would fear us and leave us alone.

However, Heinrich was from an old Prussian family, and he could see the wildness in Hitler's eyes. Something wasn't right. But Hitler immediately started rebuilding the army, and Heinrich was happy with that.

As a General, Heinrich had a staff and an aide. Gretchen was still there, and her and the aide worked well together.

When Germany invaded Belgium in May 1940, everyone at De Beers scattered except Heide. She stayed close to the office. She felt like she would be okay because she was a German citizen. She had all her papers and was sitting in the office when a German officer finally came in on the first of June. She showed him her papers, congratulated him on "liberating" Belgium, and offered her assistance in whatever manner the fatherland might need. He took her name and said someone would contact her later. He told her to keep the office open and wait.

Nothing happened for a couple of weeks. While waiting, she had time to search the offices. They had left the safes open and taken everything of value. However, it was when she searched the boss's desk that she found false bottom on one of the drawers. When she broke it open, she found a small pouch that contained half a dozen uncut diamonds. She took them to her apartment and sewed them into a sweater behind the six buttons down the front. The small rocks didn't even make a bump around the buttons. They should be safe there as long as she doesn't lose the sweater.

After a couple of weeks, the same officer came to the office and told her to go with him. He led them the temporary headquarters of the German army in Belgium. Within a short while, she was standing in front of the Commanding General. Apparently, the ability to speak the three most important languages of the western front and being obviously very Aryan made her irresistible to the General. The fact she was beautiful didn't hurt at all. Heide knew the minute their eyes locked that she would be his little "thing" in Antwerp. He nearly stumbled, getting around the desk, wanting to shake her hand and welcome her to the team.

By the end of the day, she had an office near his. She was told she'd be given duties later. For the next couple of days, she came and went without seeing the General. That surprised her. She assumed he'd be taking her home immediately.

Finally, he came to her office door at the end of the day. "My dear, could I impose on you to dine with me tonight?"

There was no reason to play hard to get. The situation in Antwerp was bad and only getting worse. Letting this little man fuck her seemed like her best option at the moment. "I was hoping you'd ask me." She smiled at him as she picked up her coat.

He helped her put her coat on. He was beaming as he put his arm out for her. They got into his car, and he took her to the former governors' house. A soldier opened the door for her, and he led her into his occupied home.

The former governor's staff now served him, and they went into the den. "Would you like something to drink, my dear?"

Heidi smiled. "A little wine would be nice." It wouldn't hurt to get plastered before she let this man paw her, but she had to be careful not to get too drunk. When their drinks were served, they sat on the couches, quietly. Finally, "So, tell me about yourself, Heidi."

"I'm from Dresden. My parents are still there. My father is a requisitioning office for a plant there."

"Sounds like a good job. What brought you to Antwerp?"

"I just wanted to get out on my own, see the world, that sort of thing."

"I understand you were alone at the office when my people found you."

"That's correct. They all took everything and left. I stayed because I wasn't worried about my people coming here." She smiled at him.

He nodded, knowingly. "Right, right you are. You will do well here, I promise you."

The butler came in at that moment to announce dinner. They got up and were seated in the dining room. The dinner was very good. They continued the small talk until dinner was finished. They brought a wonderful dessert, and Heidi could see he was pulling out all the stops to sleep with her. She could have saved him the trouble, but why do that? Let him work for his reward.

They went back into the den, talking and sipping wine. After another hour, Heidi decided it was time to get the show on the road and sat down on his lap. "I hope you don't mind me being this forward? It's just that I've been thinking about this all evening."

He was beaming, and she could feel his member hardening under her. "My dear, you just made this old man the happiest man on earth." He kissed her on the cheek. "Thank you, my dear, thank you."

She ran her hand under his uniform and put his hand between her legs under her skirt. That was all the invitation he needed. His hand went up her leg and up to her panties. He ran his fingers around on the outside of her panties. She worked really hard at getting a little wet for him, but it was a chore. He finally rubbed her enough to make her wet, and the feeling of the wetness made him even more excited.

"My dear, would you mind if we go upstairs?" She smiled. He tried to pick her up, but she got down before he realized he'd never be able to pick her up. She took his hand and led him up the stairs. The main bedroom was at the head of the stairs, and it was magnificent.

She stood by the bed and twirled, holding out her arms. "Would you mind?" She stopped with her back to him, and he quickly unzipped her dress. She turned back toward him and stepped out of her dress.

She then dropped the slip, and she was down to her underwear. "How do you like what you see so far?"

"Perfection, my love, perfection." He moved up to her and began running his hands over her body. She stood and let him paw her to his satisfaction. She knew he would not last long in bed, and she wanted him to have the best experience he could before it was over for him.

When she decided it was time, she reached behind her and unfastened her bra. She caught it in her hands and put it over his eyes. He giggled like a schoolboy and left it where she'd put it for a couple of minutes. After taking it off, he began playing with her breasts. He ran his hands around them and sucked on them. He wasn't harsh, just excited.

She then began removing his uniform. He stood back and allowed her to strip one of Hitler's Generals down to his skivvies. When they were both down to their panties and skivvies, he hugged her, tenderly and whispered in her ear. "I know how this is, but thank you, for indulging an old man's fantasy."

With that, she stepped back, removed her panties, and climbed onto the bed. She motioned with her finger for him to follow her. He pulled his underwear off and followed her. He lay beside her, and she ran her hands over his body, avoiding his dick for now. It didn't need any more stimulation. She was afraid he'd fire off before he even had gotten into her. She needed him to manage to get inside her so she could begin her performance.

His hands surveyed her entire body carefully. He treated her like a loaded grenade, and to him, she was. He sat up and ran his hands over this young woman's beautiful body, from her shoulders to her feet. He also avoided the area at the top of her legs.

Once the preliminaries were finished, she pulled him on top of her. "I need you in me now, lover." She couldn't remember his name, but she was sure she could have called him anything but Winston Churchill at the moment and he wouldn't have cared.

She grabbed his dick and began to softly stroke it. He was almost hard, but she couldn't wait. She needed him to at least get in and get a couple of licks in before he came. She pulled him on top of her and helped him get inside her. She had to hold on to him to keep him there as he began. It took only a few minutes until he came. She was prepared and had started panting the minute he began. By the time he came, she was near a "faint" from "excitement." He lay down on her breasts and rested. She could see the smile across his face as he lay there. She smiled to herself. She had succeeded in claiming this important man for herself at the moment. She'd worry about the future when it came up.

Heinrich pulled up and looked into Heidi's eyes. "My dear, you are magnificent."

Heidi was ready. "General, you're not so bad yourself."

"Call me Heinrich."

She smiled her best smile. "Of course, Heinrich. How about you lay on your back?"

He rolled off her, giggling like a schoolboy. She crawled down between his legs and began massaging his member. She didn't know how much she'd get out of him, but she knew he'd love whatever she did for him. She wasn't wrong. The longer she sucked on his little member, and played with his balls, the more he moaned. She finally got him up enough to ejaculate, and she took it without any problems. She then lay her head on his dick and waited for him to make a move. He lay there, looking down at the top of her head, laying on top of him, with a happy heart. He considered himself lucky he'd found a real, German girl with linguistic skills that would suck his dick. Life was good for him, again. Whatever the war brings, at this moment, it had brought him her, and a position of power.

He finally called her up to him, and she held him until he fell asleep. Once he was asleep, she relaxed and eventually fell asleep herself.

The next day, Heinrich presented Heidi to Gretchen as his interpreter and Gretchen's assistant. Gretchen just nodded and assigned Heidi an office beside hers. She had Heidi begin sorting the mail. Gretchen had long since stopped caring about the blonde German girls that paraded through her life. She knew they didn't last long.

It didn't take Gretchen long to figure out this one might last longer. For one thing, there was a war on, and this girl had skills they needed. She spoke Dutch, French, and English. She could interpret for the General whenever anyone came to his office.

Heidi asked the General if she could keep her apartment. He wanted her to live with him, but he understood her need for some independence. He needed her skills, both in bed and the office, so he reluctantly agreed. She promised to make it worth his while.

The General had command of the fifteenth army. It was assigned to hold the important port of Antwerp. He was named the Governor of Belgium, and he ran it from Antwerp. The army was based at the Scheldt Estuary. There were only enough troops in the city to ensure obedience, not to oppress the people, as long as they stayed compliant.

Things went by quietly for a while. One day, Gretchen asked Heidi if she knew any cafes around the area where they could go to lunch. Heidi smiled. Maybe Gretchen was warming a little to her. "I'm not sure which are still open, but we can go look."

They headed out. Most had now reopened, and they found a nice café nearby. Heidi ordered for them, and they settled in.

Gretchen was quiet for a moment. "So, Heidi, what do you think of the Jewish problem?"

Heidi didn't pay much attention to politics, but the registering of all Jews that had started recently did bother her. She was the one that had to inform the Dutch leaders of the new rules. She could see the panic in their eyes. It was only September, and these new rules were very invasive. "I don't pay much attention to politics, to be honest. I have enough problems of my own."

Gretchen nodded. "Ah, a good, safe philosophy. I hope nothing happens that disrupts your life."

Heidi looked at Grechen for a moment. She thought she saw a flicker of something pass through Gretchen's eyes for just a moment before going away. What the hell did that mean? Why threaten her? Now she knew why they went to lunch. Grechen delivered her message. But Heidi wondered if it was her message or Heinrich's. Only time would tell, but she'd have to be more careful.

By October, the registering and excluding of the Jews was in full swing. The more restrictions Heidi had to inform the civilian leaders of, the more nervous she got.

By New Year's Eve, everything was rosy for the Germans. They controlled all of Europe, and the French and English were in full retreat. Victory looked inevitable. The General threw a huge celebration at the mansion. The hall was full of Generals and other officers, their uniforms gleaming. Heidi figured half of the pretty, young Dutch women that were still in the city were there, hanging on the arm of some German officer. Survival was a bitch.

After midnight, Heidi could tell Heinrich was running out of steam. She finally went up to him and whispered into his ear. He coughed and told the men he was with that he was needed elsewhere. As they headed away, he whispered to Heidi. "Thank you, my dear. One more stupid story, and I was going to kill one of them."

"I could see your distress, Heinrich. Plus, I'm a little horny from all this champagne. I need to work off this steam, if you know what I mean?" She winked at him, and he gulped.

They headed upstairs.

In May through September of 1942, Heidi watched as the SS rounded up 1500 Jewish men. They said they were "recruiting" workers to build the Atlantic Wall. From July to November of 1942 the SS and the local police conducted three raids, rounding up Jews. Most were sent to Auschwitz.

Heidi was devastated. With every raid, Gretchen became happier and more arrogant. Heidi took to going out for lunch by herself just to get away from all the crowing about the "superior" race she had to hear. She was past being embarrassed by her people and country, she was beginning to get angry. Killing thousands of innocent people because of their nationality or religion was evil; she didn't care which country did it.

It was during one of these lunches that Heidi ran into Annika. Annika was one of the people Heidi worked with before the war. She hadn't seen Annika since everyone fled the company during the invasion. Heidi was careful not to talk to her. You had to be careful who you were seen talking to now. After she finished lunch, Heidi walked out and around the corner. She was pulled into an alley as she walked by. "Heidi, be quiet, it's me, Annika."

Heidi settled down, and Annika removed her hand from Heidi's mouth. "Annika, it is so good to see you. Where have you been?"

"Trying to stay alive. Are you working for the Germans?"

She nodded. "I have to, I'm German, after all."

"What are you doing?"

"I am the translator for the Commanding General here in Antwerp."

Annika looked at Heidi carefully. "I see. A good job."

"It's a horrible job. I must tell the leaders of the city all the terrible things they are doing to the people, especially the Jews. Every day I wish I could run away."

"But you're German?"

"Yes, but not a Nazi. They are horrible people. I'm glad I can finally say that out loud to someone."

Annika hugged Heidi. "I'm so sorry, and so glad to hear you say that."

Heidi looked at her like she didn't understand. "How can you be both?"

"That means we can at least talk about it. If you were full-blown Nazi, I'd already have been arrested by now. I'm sorry for how you feel, but this is war, and we all must do our part to fight the war. Is spending your day telling the civilians more bad news everyday how you want to spend the war?"

Heidi shook her head. "No, but I have no other option."

"You might, but it would be dangerous."

Heidi looked at Annika and knew what was coming next. She suddenly knew what Annika had been doing since the Germans arrived. She decided now was not the time to tell her she was also the General's girlfriend.

"Look, if you want to do something about this, go to the same café, and tell the old owner behind the bar that you want his special brew. Only ask when no one can hear you. He'll contact me, and I'll meet you here the next Friday in this alley at 11:30. If, for any reason you can't come that day, I will be here every Friday until you can."
