Jeff Wesley rubbed his deep red hair, he was exhausted but also frustrated. He'd combed over all the details he possibly could in order to find the answers. His eyes were baggy, his body aching from being in the same spot since early in the morning. Susan, or Suzy as he called her, had spent most of the morning asleep. She'd cried most of the night, unable to process what was happening. Jeff didn't think to wake her having been so occupied with his investigation. Yet at this point, all he could think about was her.
He finally got up and dragged his feet upstairs to find Suzy fast asleep.
He planned to go make a cup of coffee and keep researching through the night but as he closed the door, Suzy woke up.
"Jeff..." she cried out, with her groggy voice.
Jeff turned back, and peered inside. "I didn't mean to wake you," he said apologetically.
"Come here," she requested, sitting up.
Jeff slowly entered the room and sat next to her. Suzy hadn't changed from her nightie, still wearing it and a pair of panties. He was still greatly attracted to Suzy even at their age. It was a simple romance for the ages, she embraced him and for some reason that took him back to how they met. It was very likely the similarities of their current situation to how they'd become a couple. He reminisced, it started with how Suzy was in a domestic violence situation with her boyfriend at the time. It was the mid-nineties so it was quite hard for them to put the creep away. Jeff was a simple cop back then, he had no real ambitions of becoming a lieutenant.
"I'm sorry, I should have been helping you. Feeding you while you work, helping you solve this," she whispered. Trying to sooth her husband who wore the same suit and tie he always wore for work. He held on to her, softly sobbing internally.
"It's okay, you need to console yourself. We have our roles to fix this, yours is keeping this house a home." Jeff empathised.
Thinking about how she looked when he first arrived at her house after a nine-one-one call. He remembered the bruises, and scars on her body. The way she kept protecting her scumbag boyfriend who had cut her off from any outside contact. He was threatening to murder her when she made the call, but he did what any manipulative liar would do. He cried and begged her forgiveness. Such is the way of the abusive boyfriend, and because Suzy had such a big heart. She could only forgive him, and the cycle would continue.
Jeff was drawn to Suzy, even then with her wounds. She had a wonderful figure, a lovely hip to waist ratio. Stunning golden blonde hair, low and flowing down her back. She had a motherliness about her that reminded him of his own deceased and beloved mother. She added to that, a great manner of speaking as well, particularly in how she continued to address him as sir even when he insisted she didn't have to.
From Suzy's perspective, Jeff was also quite attractive. He had a full head of hair, a small stubble and a wonderfully imposing figure. Added to him, was a consistent politeness which Suzy found to be a wonder. This unspoken attraction had Jeff regularly checking up on the house, which actually made things easier for her given that her boyfriend became reluctant with his violence.
"It sometimes feels like things have reversed, you know?" Suzy commented as she held him.
"It does, you kinda get the feeling that this is revenge. Revenge for the past, yet it's being implicated on our son," Jeff added.
"Well just like before, justice will prevail. That's what you said to me, remember?" Suzy asked.
She was talking about how Jeff, after being too preoccupied to visit Suzy, found her unconscious and bloody. He was horrified that day, immediately calling for emergency paramedics to come to his location. He then gave life-saving CPR, as she wasn't breathing. Pressing into her chest until she vomited blood out of her mouth and began to take in air again. After turning her around, he let her ease into consciousness where upon seeing him, she broke down into tears. Angry that she let it get this far and that of all people, Jeff had to find her like this.
He knew that things had gone too far. When the paramedics arrived, and he was assured she'd be fine, he left. In a fit of rage he found her boyfriend at a nearby bar. When he confronted him, the guy was too drunk to defend himself. Instead he owned his actions, saying she deserved it for having continuously spoken about Jeff and how he should be more like the cop. He then taunted Jeff, claiming that if he can't have her, he sure as hell won't let a pig have her.
This set off a bomb in Jeff's head and he lunged at him. They engaged in an all out brawl, one which ended up with the cop shooting the abuser after he tried to reach for his gun. The force protected Jeff, recognising he was trying to be a hero in the mess, but in truth it was to protect their reputation. After the trial, where many dubious witnesses claimed Jeff was defending himself, Jeff was acquitted and said those words to Suzy.
"It wasn't justice back then, it was karma. I was dumb to believe that a system that benefitted me wouldn't one day fuck someone we love," Jeff said.
"You know, I wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed either," she said as she stroked her short blonde hair, "I definitely had many opportunities to leave, and could have avoided some of the more permanent scars.
"I love your scars!" Jeff interjected, looking up at her with a smile.
Suzy smiled, "I know you do and you know what. I love them too, they remind me just how much you are so different from him. How you raised our son to not be like that man, so I don't believe for one second that he did what they say he did," she said.
"I know, but our opinions don't seem to matter. Not over the statements of a bunch of girls online and he is guilty of one thing. That's being a man," Jeff explained.
Suzy turned to face her husband, she wanted to see the tears in his eyes. She didn't know what to say, she had run out of tears. He'd managed not to cry the entire time they slept. He probably didn't cry as he worked in the study room, so of course it's in her arms that Jeff would break down. She held his chin and pushed closer, kissing him gently. Suzy fell for Jeff almost immediately after they met, especially with the daily visits. He looked handsome in his police uniform, yet she could sense a shyness in him. He was incredibly respectful and polite.
It stood stark in contrast to the person she lived with, or most men she had met. At least back then, they seemed to treat ladies in her community any way they pleased. Yet Jeff seemed to be restraining himself, so afraid of saying the wrong thing. She couldn't help but find it adorable, much like a cute girl unable to express her true feelings. This cute crush became complete devotion when she heard about how he defended her, going to meet her abuser and killing him. That's what sealed it for her, the reality that inside him lay a man ready to kill to protect what he loved. Underneath that southern hospitality lay a soldier. Perhaps she was misguided to think dating those types of men was the best way to find truly masculine men.
She knew then that even the mild-mannered good guys can truly live up to the occasion. After Jeff was acquitted, Suzy did all she could to be with him. She started small, daily visits to his house to drop off some pie. He wasn't home during the day so she left it by his window. Then it went further, random late night visits under the guise of nightmares and trauma. Jeff gave her his bed and slept on the couch, but eventually she insisted she'd be safer with him in the same bed. Soon, she decided to move in. Claiming that she can do things for Jeff in exchange for some security. This added with some purposefully lewd acts like walking naked or sleeping in skimpier clothing. Luckily for her, Jeff got the message one night after coming home frustrated.
He called her out. The first for staying with an abusive man for so long, the second being her lewdness and provocations. Suzy admitted two things that night to Jeff, the first was that he was with him because deep down she loved being controlled. She loved the authority that came with being a man, being put in her place. The second admission was how attracted she was to Jeff, something so incredibly powerful that she spent many hours fingering herself to the portraits of him in his uniform. Jeff took her right then and there.
He was angry enough to be rough, but nice enough to not hurt her. She loved it, that sex was wonderful and continued to be the most wonderful sex they ever had. They went at it for hours, and Jeff took days off so they could go at it for days. They fucked everywhere, and often... only stopping to eat and shower. Sometimes doing it in the shower, sometimes while eating. Sometimes at the movies, sometimes in the lake, they were rabbits in the wild and their passion has only slowly faded over the years. It's a miracle they don't have more than two kids but Fin was their miracle. The baby boy they hoped and prayed for.
At this moment, she was about to have more of it. Jeff reminisced about how they met, thinking about how she looked when she was in her twenties. That image of the poor girl he needed to protect remained stuck in his mind. That's how he always saw Suzy, even though she was in her forties. He instantly got up and pulled off her nightie, allowing her round shapely breasts to come in view. They had sagged due to age, but he loved them the way they were. He immediately pushed her down and pulled down her panties, the familiar scent of her sex filling the air. Jeff knew that with Suzy, she wasn't too big on foreplay. She was hot the moment he started increasing the pace. He did enjoy pleasing her, and so he got on his knees. He licked and caressed her wet pussy with his tongue much to Suzy's delight. She held onto his head and gasped, then groaned. She whispered his name, then something else.
.
"Fuck me officer!" she said. Once, twice, and enough times for him to get the hint.
He immediately got up and pulled out his cock. He started rubbing it on her clit as she quickly came. She was quick to do that, and before her first big climax subsided, he shoved his dick inside her. She screamed, scraping his forearm accidentally but as a sign that her pussy was sensitive. Jeff didn't stop, he pressed on through the pain and drove into her. She invited him in, her pussy massaging his cock as it pumped her sloppy cunt. His constant strokes reignited the climb to another incredible orgasm.
Within minutes Suzy was on the brink of cumming and she held his head. She looked into his eyes, and begged him.
"Promise me you'll do whatever it takes to save our boy!" she yelled.
"I will!"
"Promise me Jeff, just like what you did to save me from that evil man. You'll do whatever it takes," she begged him.
"I promise, I promise Suzy," he groaned.
"Oh fuck, then cum baby. Dump all that pain inside me, put all your stress inside my cunt. Let me make you forget, let me help you deal with the pain."
Jack couldn't hold out any longer, he took one last heavy stroke before dumping his load inside her.
A few weeks back...
Jeff came home and Finn solemnly hit baseballs in their backyard. He'd early on in his life, gotten a liking for baseball. Jeff, being the type of father who invests in his son's dreams, bought a pitching machine to help his son practice. This helped, especially because when wasn't always there to throw it, now he was somewhat of a budding pro. He could hit hundred mile fastballs in his sleep. Normally, he was cheerful during his personal training. It felt like one of the few things that improved his mood yet he looked miserable not to mention he rarely ever came home from college during the weekends.
He was demotivated and unwilling to eat or talk. After several attempts, Suzy discovered that Finn's girlfriend had recently cheated on him. She explained to Jeff that she'd apparently moved on to an older guy, a cocky asshole by Finn's words. There was no surprise there, but Jeff still had to help his son. He recommended they go drinking. That's where his son laughed about how much he'd invested in her as well as how much he'd truly cared for her. Jeff noticed the similarities between this and his friend Don. Sadly he didn't know how to help his friend other than investigate Vivian. Which only added to Don's depression.
In Fin's case, his girlfriend's behavior was something he couldn't monitor. Nor could the detective show his son all his girlfriends exploits if he found out. He just decided to be there for his boy, and told him that there's so much more time to find the one. Of course, Fin appreciated his father's attempts. It was better than nothing, in a world where the culture doesn't allow boys to get much affection, particularly from their father.
They went home drunk, the bar was near enough to walk back. When they got home, Suzy was quite quickly frustrated. Seeing her two boys singing old sea shanties while threatening to wake young Casey up. They were rowdy and unwilling to quiet down. They slept laughing and Jeff tried to pull some moves on his wife, some of which almost worked but his drunken state turned her off.
It's the next morning when police came to Wesley's door. It's that morning when they put his son in handcuffs and read him his Miranda Rights. It's that morning when Jeff realised that things weren't the same anymore. He was told that his son was accused of sexual assault. The evidence they had was the girl's word, other ladies supporting the story and some bruises she got in very delicate places. He couldn't believe that's all it took. All she had was supporting evidence from her friends and her tears. Other than that there were no real accounts of them being seen together. There was one, which was the time when Finn discovered she had cheated. She'd used his angry response to her infidelity as leverage.
Jeff didn't understand why, and he couldn't believe it when his captain explained it to him. He slammed the captain's desk in extreme frustration, struggling to come to terms with what he was hearing.
"That's just a bunch of bullshit!" He yelled.
Not that the captain was willing to listen. He didn't want to look like he was being lenient to a son of a detective so he told Jeff to stay out of it. Jeff did the exact opposite and decided to find out what the real story is. He searched all across social media, looking up whatever he can on the girl in question. Her name was Maliyah, she was born to an interracial couple but the mother had remarried. Leaving her white husband for a black guy. It took a few images to see why Finn liked her, she was pristine. Absolutely dazzling looking skin, short curly dark hair, naturally pink lips and long legs to go with it. She had a few tattoos, a few on her legs and some on her arm. Jeff knew that this was the 'in-thing' and it only added to her allure.
She didn't have the biggest ass or chest, and she wasn't the tallest girl either. She was about the same height as Suzy, but her confidence and ability to present herself was impeccable. The short videos he saw made it clear that this girl was definitely a seductress, with her lewd expressions and poses. Her style as well, tight shorts with sneakers, heels with jeans, crop tops, mesh dresses, chokers, and many other sexy outfits. She enjoyed the attention she got and knew how to get it. She surrounded herself with like minded ladies, matching her style and energy.
She also had plenty of images of her with prestigious athletes, even a few pics with famous professional athletes in the country. Clearly she could get with anyone and get anywhere she wanted. It made sense why she was dating Finn, only when he realised that they went to the same elementary school. It also answered the question of where he'd seen her before, she'd changed a lot since junior school.
He knew then that they had a prior friendship before meeting again in college.
Probably he was nostalgic about her, but she wasn't the girl from back then. She'd clearly changed for the worse and only really liked Finn for what he could be, that being a multi-million dollar baseball star. It's clear she wasn't patient enough to wait and decided to find some other guy to fool around with. These were all the conclusions Jeff got from studying his son and her social media. He had also learned a few things about how girls think from studying Vivian. Don's soon to be ex-wife. Mainly that a girl like that would likely be deeply vindictive would probably have a record of jumping from boy to boy.
Jeff woke up late in the night. Sex with his wife had definitely drained him but he kept having nightmares. He couldn't sleep, but smiled when he saw Suzy fast asleep. He'd assured her he'd do whatever it takes to save their son. He just didn't know how and it hurt because his son's name was being dragged through the dirt online. He read a lot of it in his effort to find evidence to exonerate him. The irony wasn't lost on him, that his son being arrested meant he couldn't see the things being said about him online. Many wanted him sentenced to death or imprisoned for life.
Lots of death threats were sent his way alongside requests that the MLB ban him for life. Not one person had all the facts, and even the few who said that they should wait for a verdict before jumping to conclusions were summarily attacked or downvoted. The internet was out for blood and the institutions which should have been smarter were no different. The college had already made a statement saying they were indefinitely suspending his partial scholarship. This may as well have been an expulsion.
Reading those messages, the lies being told. The claims about his son and even worse, the idea that these people had the right to claim he was like the pedophiles and rapists that Jeff spent his entire career putting in prison. These people didn't have a clue about what a real predator looked like, how they behaved or operated. To them, any man was one action away from becoming one.
Yet Jeff knew first hand that a lot of the most irredeemable degenerates often had clear signs from a young age. They had psychopathic tendencies and even before they committed sex crimes, they regularly committed normal crimes. Theft, assault, fraud, worse was the fact these people often didn't struggle with ladies. Jeff even started thinking that ladies were actively attracted to these psychopaths.
He knew this wasn't the case, but the ladies who complained the most often had a history of dating these men. They all had the same tell-tale signs, lots of children with multiple different women. A criminal record of any kind alongside heavy consumption of certain vices. They all were pathological liars and often had intense narcissistic tendencies. This meant being told no was a problem for them, because other people's priorities were not of any relevance to them. He knew that these men were the few of society yet they still did a majority of the crime, including the sexual crimes.
He thought about it, how there were incredible similarities between these men and Maliyah. The bouncing around from partners to partners, the tattoos, the narcissistic tendencies and need for attention. Similar to how criminals snitch on themselves, he could see that he was perhaps fighting this problem the wrong way. The thing is, violent criminals needed violence to be stopped. They need to be caught, tried and locked up. Forever, if necessary. However, the female psychopath needed to be fought differently. They used the court of public opinion, they controlled the narrative and twisted the story in their favour.
