Fruit Ch. 02

Miles hesitated, the low, rising sun about to meet her eyes. The sea breeze caressing her, reminding her of places she didn't want to be reminded of. Her new nipples stiffened on the tips of her new breasts, an entirely new feeling. Where once a mat of thick black wires would have bristled on sun damaged muscles, now almost imperceptible blonde baby hairs stood on end on fragile-looking, goosebumped forearms. A chill, cool air on the dampness between her legs where once there hung a proud and reasonable symbol of her substantial manliness. The faint rustling of the trees at her back, doing little to cover the sound of the frantic beating of her always steady heart.

She took a deep breath and stepped forward on the sand. Even the texture of the sand felt different on her softer feet. It felt more, it felt nice.

Jonah, turning from the fire, stopped mid stretch. His eyes swept over her. "Hey now, stay there girlie... who are you?"

'Girlie...' Miles ran it over in his head as he whispered it to himself. He felt no offence.

Danny looked up from his carving, dropped his piece of wood, kept his knife. He walked over and joined Jonah, staring at the girl they didn't know was Miles.

Miles felt intimidated, a feeling she couldn't remember since she was a little boy. These two giant men looked as though they could break her in two, she shook slightly, feeling both scared, and ashamed of her own fear.

Kadi stirred and walked sleepily from the shelter. Her blanket, draped over her shoulders, fell when she stretched her arms high in the air, letting loose an adorable squeaking yawn. "Oh my god, Miles?"

"Yeah.."

Danny and Jonahs stance softened as their brows hardened and then raised in confusion. They did not speak, they simply stared at the petite, feminine form and soft, innocent face of their once battle-hardened, wiry campmate.

Kadi broke the silence. "I've heard whispers from some of the girls in the network about this fruit... I know, I should have said, but I wasn't sure that you'd believe me and I didn't think you'd eat any more of the fruit after being so Ill before, I'm sorry!"

"Hey never mind that, what have you heard, what is this shit..." Jonah demanded.

"All I'd heard was that The Island.. The one we were supposed to be at, had a native population. It was said that they had a matriarchal society of the most beautiful women in the world, every one 10/10 knock-out perfect ... well, apparently that's because they were eating a certain fruit that caused these effects. I don't think we can be in doubt that this is the same fruit... Only, I had heard that an unintentional consequence of our first refugees founding the island colony is that they had brought a disease with them that infected a lot of the native flora, sadly, including the fruit. In penance, the refugees tried to help the natives as best they could but without the fruit, and the details are unclear on this, the native population slowly succumbed to disease and eventually death. As if they were reliant on it... But, shit, none of the sisters ever mentioned anything about its effect on men, certainly nothing about gender swapping... I guess we can at least confirm we're not on the right island."

"FUCK!" Miles' profanity left his lips in a style he recognised himself as that of a bratty teenage girl. She cleared her throat and started again, trying and struggling to keep composure. "Can we drop this shit for now, we'll figure it out later... please"

"Aww babe, of course, this must be hard..." Kadi comforted her.

'Babe... girlie...' the words cycled through miles mind, as though it didn't quite know what to do with them.

With a hand on her shoulders Kadi guided miles away from the two men, they remained dumbfounded. "Let's get you something more appropriate to wear, there should be some cute things in the luggage, maybe it will be dry by now.'

"Um.. cute things? Maybe we just stick to something practical, we're in a survival situation, not a beach resort." There was a hint of sharpness to Miles' voice.

"Okay sweetie, sorry, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself... it's nice to have another girl around, you know?" Miles bristled slightly at Kadi's words, but it wasn't entirely unpleasant being referred to in such ways, it felt sort of... intimate, affectionate... it made her feel... cared for? There would be time to figure out these new feelings, she supposed.

Kadi continued on as miles struggled to focus through the fog of emotion "... but you saw the women on that plane, god rest their souls. I don't think they're going to have fatigues and combats in your size."

Miles knew she was right, they weren't soldiers, they were just girls, girlfriends, mothers... or, like Kadi, sisters in the resistance network. Providing shelter, food and care to shadow fighters, like Miles, as they traveled on their missions. Their clothing would be that of young, perhaps even stylish women, who thought they were heading to what amounted to... well, a beach resort.

"Maybe just some simple pants and a t-shirt?" Miles offered.

"Girl, it's 30 Celsius and it's not even noon, you're going to have to think about that"

"Girl?!" Miles snapped back in mock outrage, hands on hips.

"Well, I've never seen a guy with an entire boob hanging out of their t-shirt"

"Shit!" Miles covered up, a little embarrassed. He hadn't noticed that the neckline of his makeshift dress had dropped so low as to expose a stiff nipple. "Well, some shorts maybe then..."

The pair explored the laid out luggage, Kadi hurried excitedly, grabbing things, holding them up in wonder, or against her frame to size. Miles knelt in the sand, exploring the cases more trepidatiously, afraid to choose anything lest it confirm the end of a manhood she already knew, deep down, was behind her.

A fabric called to her. A luxurious, jacquard fabric. He pulled on it and suddenly he was holding a bikini top. Dark fuschia triangles connected by thin strings of the same colour, a few small gold beads adorned the strings at the top of the triangles. She had no idea why but it was beautiful to her, she'd never felt that way about an item of clothing before.

"Oooh that is cute! Try it on! Try it on!"

"O.. okay" Miles felt her stomach sink, amidst another feeling she suspected was excitement.. Why was she excited, she wondered. "... but I don't have anything on under this t-shirt, my underwear and combats didn't fit after the transformation"

"It's nothing i haven't seen before..." Kadi rolled her eyes, impatient with Miles' embarrassment. ".. We're all girls here."

"I'm gonna need something on the bottom at least!"

Kadi dug through the same case that Miles had found the bikini in. "HERE, BITCH!" She grinned, "Now strip!"

As he stripped in front of one person, on a deserted island, he felt like the eyes of the entire world were on him. It didn't take him long to discard his worn t-shirt and he hurriedly grabbed the tiny swimsuit bottoms that were dangling from the hand of his campmate, desperate to regain some form of modesty.

His efforts were in vain, the bottoms were a thong cut and her entire ass was exposed. They fit perfectly and felt comfortable against her body, but the feeling of exposure was entirely new and a little uncomfortable.

She grabbed the top and had to examine it for a moment...

"A little help?" offered Kadi

"Please."

"Okay line up the cups with your breasts... good, now I'll just tie this tie round here and... this tie behind the neck.." As she tightened the last tie it pulled Miles' breasts up and in. "... aaaand voila! You look great, babe!"

"I dunno..." Miles felt strange... he loved how the bikini fit him perfectly, how free and light he felt... but the exposure, the girlieness of it all couldn't escape his thoughts. If he kept this on the next time she would be confronting the other two members of the camp she would be wearing a tiny pink bikini with her tits and ass fully exposed. "I think this is too much too soon Kadi."

"... It's just a bikini... you look incredible, you have a perfect figure."

"That has nothing to do with this! I don't care about my figure... I'm a guy, a soldier! I need my strength, I need to be tough!" She couldn't have sounded any less tough in that moment.

"Look, Miles, just get with this okay! You're a chick now, there's no going back. And there's nothing wrong with it! You might not be as big and strong as you were before but you're no less of a person and it's kind of insulting that you think you're somehow above all of this!"

Miles didn't know what to say.

"So if you want to wear some of the guys stuff here and pretend you're still a big strong man then feel free, but it's about 5 sizes too big for you now and you're going to look ridiculous and you're going to feel a lot worse than if you just embrace this and face it head on."

"Okay." Miles resigned.

"But.. I found these that would go great with your outfit if you want to cover up a little" Kadi handed him a pair of off-white crochet shorts, they looked tiny, but she was grateful for any extra coverage. "And these." Kadi handed her a pair of delicate, gold glittery sandals.

"Okay help me with these bags, we'll head back." Miles followed Kadi's order.

The pair head back to the shelter. Every step still felt new to Miles, the sensations of the new clothing felt... good... Too good, almost sensuous.

"Okay, wait here..." Kadi said and ran off, leaving Miles to sit alone and contemplate his new body, new life...

Miles looked down at herself, seeing mostly pushed up cleavage. She squeezed her breasts, it felt good. She ran her little hands over them, over her collar bones, down her dipping sides, over her flat stomach and finally down through the waistband of her crocheted shorts and under her bikini bottoms onto her warm new pussy. She rubbed it with one hand, and squeezed a tit with the other, pinched a nipple... it all felt electric.

She heard Kadi struggling back with something. A door.

"Why have you brought a.. Bathroom door?" Miles enquired, expecting there must be a very good reason or else Kadi had completely lost it.

Kadi lent the door against the makeshift wall of the shelter and then flipped it round. Miles was greeted with an image of herself. A mirror.

"Holy shit..." Miles wide eyed and amazed, felt her own face as she was looking at it for the first time. She looked young, younger than before... no rough or damaged skin, no scars, no stubble... just a soft, beautiful, perfect face, surrounded by thick, dark luscious hair and sat atop a smooth, petite but curvy body that looked straight out of a swimsuit magazine. ".. I'm beautiful.." She immediately felt more at home in this new form, delighted, proud, excited even, by the way she looked.

"Just a few touch ups and you'll be all set" Kadi broke her trance.

"Sure, fuck, yes Kadi, do whatever you want." She'd gotten her this far, might as well go for it.

As Kadi was finishing up making up Miles pretty face, the girls heard Jonah and Danny chatting in the still night as they walked back toward camp.

"Hey we were just out walking around the island, didn't take long, it's not huge and we didn't see any sign of anyone else.... Holy shit, Miles...." Jonah stopped mid speech.

"Gentlemen, may I present to you, Mila."

'Mila...' She couldn't hid the grin from her face as Kadi spoke her new name for the first time... it felt so right."

The men's jaws hung slack.

"Mila... you look great dude... dudette..." Danny hoped he was putting her at ease.

"Thanks danny... I guess Kadi made decent work of me." Mila spoke to the ground with bashful eyes raised high towards danny's own.

"Hey, I just painted the edges a little, this is all you, girl!" Kadi encouraged.

For the first time Mila felt a pride in her appearance and a type of energy she had never felt before. She felt embarrassed, but not in an entirely bad way... Their gazes felt good, they made her feel small and vulnerable but also thrilled and powerful...

That night they ate bananas and drank coconut water. They agreed they'd find more substantial food tomorrow.

"Hey, Mila..." Danny's surfer drawl, bright with a charm she hadn't previously witnessed. "Wanna come fishing, I made these" He produced two perfectly carved fishing spears.

"Uh I guess so..." Mila hesitated.

"Come on, let's see if that hot new bod can still catch some dinner" Was he flirting?

"Knock it off, jack-ass. I'm comin'" She protested, but deep inside felt flattered by the compliments from the tall, charming man. A warmth in her cheeks and chest joined by tingles up her spine... so many new feelings.

They reached the waters edge and Mila discarded her shorts, she felt daring and brave exposing her ass to Danny, framed only by the tiny thong bikini bottoms she still wore from yesterday. She knew he would appreciate it and she didn't mind that at all. The mirror had shown her, she was hot and she felt it now.

They waded in comfortable silence for a while, the warm water swirling around Mila's smooth thighs. At the same depth, the water barely reached Danny's knees. Danny expertly speared a small, iridescent fish. "Your turn," he said, gesturing to a school of darting silver fish.

Mila focused, her new senses surprisingly sharp. The clarity of the water, the subtle currents against her skin, the almost imperceptible movements of the fish -- it all felt heightened. She briefly admired the red that Kadi had painted on her fingernails before she thrust the spear, clumsy at first, but then with a surprising accuracy that landed a decent size fish, bigger than Danny's.

"Not bad, Mila!" Danny complimented, giving her a genuine smile. He leaned back, resting his spear. "So," he began, his voice dropping slightly, "I gotta ask, man. How does it feel? This whole...magical transformation? Like, what's it like being a chick now?"

Mila paused, looking out at the shimmering horizon. "It's... hard to explain, Danny," she admitted, her voice soft and high. "Physically, obviously, everything's different. Lighter. Softer. And some of it's... unexpectedly good." She smirked a little at that "But it's more than just this body. My head feels... clearer, in some ways. But also, more sensitive. Things that I never noticed before, things that never mattered, they feel... important now." She trailed off, feeling a strange mixture of vulnerability and openness. "It's like the world has more layers, more colors.. and a lot more emotion. And it's always there! It makes it hard to focus sometimes and it's a little overwhelming, I haven't really had time to sit down and figure out all of these feeling that I've never felt before"

As Mila spoke, a subtle shift occurred. It started as a faint buzz in the air, a change in the light, though the sun still blazed overhead. A prickling sensation crawled up her arms, a shiver despite the warmth. It wasn't just a feeling; it was a profound, intuitive knowing. The ocean, usually a calming presence, now felt... agitated.

"Danny," Mila said, her voice hushed, eyes scanning the cloudless sky. "Do you feel that? The air... it's changing."

Danny chuckled, oblivious. "Feel what? The sea breeze? Man, this is paradise compared to where we were."

"No," she insisted, her voice rising, a tremor of panic entering it. Her new sensitivity was screaming at her. This was more than intuition; it was a certainty, deep in her bones. "It's a storm. A big one. I can feel it. We need to get back to camp. We need to reinforce the shelter. Now!"

Danny looked at her, bemused. "Mila, look around. Not a cloud. Sun's shining. You're just a little on edge.. You've been through a lot..."

"I'm not on edge, Danny, I know it!" she pleaded up at him. The urgency in her voice broke through, a flicker of concern replacing his easy smile. He humored her. "Alright, alright, calm down. Let's head back. We got some fish. No harm in being prepared for the worst, I guess."

Back at camp, Kadi was sorting through some of the salvaged clothes, humming softly. Jonah was trying to fix the solar-powered radio, muttering curses under his breath.

"Kadi! Jonah! We need to reinforce the shelter! There's a storm coming!" Mila burst out, her voice tight with urgency.

Kadi looked up, a faint frown creasing her brow. She paused, tilting her head slightly, then closed her eyes. A subtle shiver ran through her. "She's right," Kadi said, her voice barely a whisper. "I feel it too. I couldn't pinpoint it but... something's definitely off."

Jonah scoffed, throwing down a screwdriver. "You two are imagining things. Look at the sky. It's a perfect day. We've got plenty of time for chores later."

"Jonah, please!" Mila pleaded, her desperation evident. "We can't risk it! What if it's a hurricane? We'll be exposed!"

Seeing the fear in Mila's eyes, and the unusual certainty in Kadi's normally gentle demeanor, Jonah finally relented with a sigh. "Fine. But if this is all for nothing, you two are on permanent coconut duty."

Mila laughed at that... a giggle... a cute little giggle...

They began to work, gathering more palm fronds, driftwood, and salvaged metal from the wreckage. Mila, eager to contribute, grabbed a large, bent piece of fuselage. She strained, her muscles burning, but the metal barely budged. Her beautiful new body lacked the raw power she'd always possessed. A wave of frustration and despair washed over her. She used to be able to lift things like this with ease. Now, her arms trembled, she was going to be utterly useless when it came to manual labour.

"Damn it!" she whined, tears pricking at her eyes. The profound sense of loss for her former strength was overwhelming.

Kadi, noticing Mila's struggle, came over and gently took the heavy metal from her. "Hey, it's okay," she said, her voice soft and understanding. "You don't have to do the heavy lifting anymore. Come on, help me weave these palm fronds. You've got nimble fingers, much better for this than Jonah's big dumb bear paws." She smiled warmly as Jonah scoffed as he and danny exerted their strength, manipulating giant, heavy panels behind them. "Being a woman isn't all about physical strength, Mila. It's about other kinds of strengths. Resourcefulness, resilience, connection." She winked. "And sometimes, it's about getting others to do the heavy lifting for you. Trust me, it certainly has its benefits."

Mila managed a weak smile, a tiny spark of comfort igniting within her. Kadi was right. Her body had changed, but she was still Miles deep down, right? She still had all of her knowledge and experience... she was still the same person, right? More than just what her body betrayed.

Shadows cast from clouds increasingly filling the sunny sky.

It turned gray quickly.

The first rumble of thunder caused the four campmates to rush into their newly strengthened shelter. The wind howled against the walls, there were a few small drips and draughts but nothing they couldn't handle. The dwelling flashed intermittently from the reflected lightning. The whole dwelling shook, but maintained.

They huddled together round the fire they had lit inside. Mila found herself pressed tight against Jonahs hulking frame, her shoulder squeezed into his huge bicep. Her smooth legs entangled Kadi's own. She felt something she hadn't felt in quite some time... a tension, undoubtedly sexual in nature... between her legs, moisture flowed... but for who...

Mila was forced to duck out of the way as Jonahs arms, thicker than her legs, swung up with the hem of his shirt. Her pulse quickened, her chest tightened and she bit her lip. She took in the sheer width of the giant man, the thick, black hair glistening over his broad chest and hulking torso. Her eyes traveled up and for the first time she noticed how beautiful he was. She wanted to feel his thick lips on hers, rub her tiny painted hands on his bald head, stare into his dark, serious eyes. She imagined his square jaw beneath his beard. She started to imagine more... but stopped herself. She pulled her knees to her chest and sat, closed off, staring at the fire. Frozen in fear at her own lustful thoughts. Miles had never been attracted to men. He hadn't really been attracted to many women, only occasionally taking sex if one of the sisters liked him and offered it... often only accepting out of boredom and politeness. She realised he had never really been a particularly sexual person... he had more important things on his mind, too much to even think very much about sex. It would seem that had changed.
