Love Train Ch. 03

Recap:A leak at a bio-engineering lab, Bio-Tech, has resulted in a outbreak that turns the infected into sex crazed maniacs. Ellie is travelling to Edinburgh with her estranged father and chief-executive of Bio-Tech, Larry. All Ellie wants is for Larry to stop working and pay her a little attention. And when the virus spreads amongst the passengers, Ellie gets her wish. But when a horde of randy zombies storms their carriage, Larry has no choice but to abandon Ellie. Again.

Meanwhile, chaste choirgirl, Mary, is being escorted by her stern patriarch, Father O'Leary, to a convent in the Hebrides where she will atone for her lustful sins, far, far away from the temptation of mankind. But when Father O'Leary attempts to exorcise the virus from the depraved passengers, he himself is infected and mindlessly commits acts that would make the Devil himself blush - all before his daughter's disbelieving eyes.

Chapter Three

"What do you mean, take your sister? I don'thavea sister."

Mai absentmindedly fished pickle out of her cereal bowl, wondering if Seo-jun knew that she could hear every word of his argument with his mom. She guessed he probably did.

"Don't be a brat," his mom retorted, before lowering her voice, "you know how much she cares about you. And it's not like she's got anyone else to spend the summer with. Would it kill you to take her with you to Edinburgh?"

"It's a rugby tour, Mom. Mai wouldn't want to hang out with a bunch of twenty-year-old boys."

Silently, Mai agreed. She didn't want to hang out with a pack of grunting neanderthals. There was onlyonetwenty-year-old boy she wanted to spend her summer with. Andhewanted nothing to do with her.

"Mai! Come in here a second!"

"Mom!" Seo-jun hissed.

Mai waited long enough to make it seem like she hadn't been eavesdropping then floated into the living room.

"What's up?" She asked. Her attempt to sound casually cool came across unnaturally. Seo-jun and his mom gave her a peculiar look - one that she was well used to seeing.

"Seo-jun wants you to go to Edinburgh this summer. With the sports tour."

"But I don't play any sports," Mai said simply, twirling her jet black piggy-tail around her finger.

Seo-jun rubbed his temples and inhaled deeply. "See? Mai doesn't want to come to Scotland. She wants to spend the summer in London like other girls her age."

Even as he said it, Seo-jun knew it wasn't true. His step-sister wasn't like other girls her age. She wasn't like other girls, full stop.

In other times she'd have been an oracle, a seer, a witch. But in 2026, she was just weird.

"Seo-jun's right," Mai agreed, smiling sadly. "I wouldn't fit in in Scotland."

"You could be their cheerleader," their mom pushed. "Every team needs a cheerleader."

Seo-jun rolled his eyes. "This isn't America, Mom. We're a local rugby team. We don't have cheerleaders."

There was a thud and a sharp yelp. Seo-jun rubbed his arm, nursing the spot where his mom had hit him with surprising strength.

"Don't be ungrateful," their mom scolded, "most brothers would be happy to spend time with their sister."

"Step-sister," Seo-jun corrected, automatically.

He sensed his mom tightening beside him as she winced. If there was one thing sure to wind up Mai, it was the reminder that she was a relic from her father's first marriage. Unwanted, unusual, unpopular.

"Y'know what, stuff it, I'd rather stay home all summer than goanywherewith him." Mai turned on her heel and stomped up the stairs. Her bedroom door slammed a few seconds later.

Seo-jun's mom turned to him, exasperated. "Would it kill you to be nice to her for a change?"

Seo-jun shrugged, "it might."

--

--

"Can I come in?"

Mai groaned into her pillow. Why couldn't he just leave her alone, like everyone else did?

"Go away. I'm not decent."

That was a lie. But Mai was banking on it being enough to cringe out Seo-jun and force him into a hasty retreat.

"I'll keep my eyes closed," Seo-jun sighed from the hallway.

"Float off!"

"I'm coming in..."

"Ugh! You're such a fuzz wart!"

Seo-jun pushed open Mai's bedroom door and risked a quick peek between his fingers. His step-sister was lying face down on her bed, surrounded by a ring of tarot cards.

He took a moment to admire her smooth, milky-white legs, exposed by the plaited skirt that ended enticingly high on her soft thighs, revealing the suggestive curve of her outstanding tush.

It was magnificent. A jiggly, juicy, trunkful of rump that Seo-jun couldn't keep his eyes off. And neither could his friends. He'd heard the locker room talk, laughing about her like she was a piece of meat.

"Talk about bad luck. If I lived with her, I'd be setting up cameras in the shower."

"Dude, she's his sister!"

"Step-sister, so it hardly even counts. Besides, you've seen that ass. I'd fuck my own mother if she had a butt like Mai's."

"Temperance."

Seo-jun's cheeks flushed and he looked away quickly. "Huh?"

Mai held up one of her cards. "It symbolises masculinity and femininity. And chastity. But it's upside-down, see?"

Seo-jun settled on the edge of Mai's bed, careful not to disturb the ring of cards. "So?"

"Soit's the opposite, numb nuts. Immorality, promiscuity, debauchery." Mai looked over her shoulder at Seo-jun with wide, suggestive eyes. Her curiously unblinking stare unsettled him.

"You need a hobby, Mai. Something with other people, like, y'know, outside."

Mai turned back to her deck of cards. "Did your mom send you up here?"

"No," Seo-jun paused. "Yes. But that's not why I'm here. I need something to take my mind off Sarah. Her new boyfriend is plastered all over Instagram."

"I checked the cards. They've got a week, no longer."

"Yeah, probably," Seo-jun laughed softly, "still hurts though."

Mai rolled onto her back and propped herself up on her elbows. Her sheer white blouse was almost transparent, revealing the white bra cupping her petite breasts beneath. Seo-jun wrenched his eyes away, toying idly with a tarot card.

"That sucks," Mai said, "I'm sorry."

"Meh. Date bitches, get burnt."

"So what did you have in mind?" Mai asked.

"I dunno. How about a film? You can choose."

"Really?" Mai asked hopefully.

"Sure."

"There is this one film I want to see but, I dunno, you'll probably think it's lame."

"Lamer than insta-stalking my ex's trip to Devon?"

Mai giggled. "Not that lame."

"That's what I thought," Seo-jun agreed. "So what do you want to watch?"

Mai twirled her piggy-tail in that infuriatingly coy way. "It's a zombie film."

"Zombies?"

"I knew you'd hate it," Mai sulked, hugging her knees to her chest and exposing even more of her creamy thighs.

Seo-jun sighed. He'd be on his way to Scotland with the rugby team in the morning. Far, far away from his madcap step-sister and the confusing feelings she stirred inside him. He could manage one film. "Let's try it. What's it called?"

Mai smiled brightly. "It's calledTrain to Busan."

--

--

The 10:49 train to Edinburgh was busy and Coach Dale had a hangover. There was a quart of whisky in his holdall that he'd open in the train toilets when the train left Euston but, until then, he wanted quiet. "Shut up and sit down!"

Seo-jun was in no mood to argue. Guilt gnawed at him for abandoning his step-sister to a summer alone. She was a grown up, he told himself, she can take care of herself.

"Look! It's Mai!"

Seo-jun figured it was his teammates joshing around again. He put his headphones in and stared out of the window watching the final passengers embarking.

"What are you doing here?"

"I became your cheerleader."

Seo-jun recognised his step sister's whimsical tone immediately. There was a chorus of cat calls and cheers from his teammates. "You serious? No way!"

Praying he was hallucinating, Seo-jun lifted his head above the seats. What he saw was too strange to be a dream.

Mai was strutting confidently down the aisle between his awe-struck teammates. She was wearing a tiny pleated cheerleading skirt and high-socks. A nearly skin-tight white tee hugged her petite breasts so tightly that, even from halfway down the carriage, Seo-jun could make out the points of her perky nipples.

Mai lifted two pompoms in the air and twirled for her admirers. "Go Tigers!"

"Sit with me, Mai," called one of his teammates. "Over here!"

Mai smiled innocently. "No thanks, I think my brother saved me a place next to him."

Seo-jun sunk so low in his seat that he nearly slipped off it. He could already imagine the crude ribbings he'd be taking for the next few weeks. He'd be the butt of the joke all summer, while his step-sister's butt became the object of the entire team's fantasies. Mai dropped into the seat beside him.

"What are you doing here?" Seo-jun asked, desperately.

"Oh, was someone in this seat already?"

"Not on the seat, Mai! On this train!"

Mai tilted her head and smiled at him naively. "I'm your cheerleader, silly. I asked Coach Dale, just like you said."

"I didnottell you to ask Coach Dale," Seo-jun groaned.

"You told me to get a hobby. Something with other people. Something outside."

Seo-jun couldn't resist glancing at his step sister's legs. Her skirt rode so high that he could see the cute little gap between her thighs. Any higher and he'd see her underwear - if she was wearing any underwear.

Shaking the thought from his head, he turned angrily away. "I meant something with yourownfriends."

In the reflection on the window, Seo-jun saw his step sister flinch and shrink away from him. "I don't have any friends."

"Well maybe you should get some. And while you're at it, how about you get your own family too!"

There was a long, heavy pause and then he heard her sniffle. "I'll get off the train."

Seo-jun knew he'd gone too far. But it was out there now, he couldn't take it back. "That's the first good idea you've had."

A shrill whistle blew. Seconds later, the train jolted and the platform began to slowly slide past the window. Seo-jun groaned as the train driver announced, "This is the 10:49 to Edinburgh. Our next scheduled stop is Birmingham Central."

"Mai..."

But she was gone.

--

--

It had been stupid to think her brother would want to spend his summer with her. Stupid to think she could be his cheerleader. Stupid to think that tiny outfit would make him notice her. Stupid stupid, stupid.

Hot tears were falling down her cheeks. Stifling a sob, she stumbled towards the door to the train toilet. To Mai's surprise, the door swung open as she reached for it. A sudden jolt of the train threw the dainty teen through it and onto a soft mass beyond.

"Oof!" Grunted the soft mass.

Mai giggled as she untangled herself from a beautiful redhead wearing a shapeless floor-length dress resembling a hessian sack. "Oopsie, I can never get my sea legs on these things."

The girl's snow-white cheeks began to flush pink as she cast a disapproving eye over Mai's skimpy outfit.

"You can't be in here," the girl hissed.

"Sorry," Mai offered, guessing that she'd committed yet another social faux pas. "I didn't mean to scare you."

The redhead softened. "It's...it's fine. I'm just a little on edge. It's been a weird day. Weird week, truth be told."

"I know the feeling. There was pickle in my cereal again this morning."

"Again?"

"It's not the worst place to find a pickle. Trust me."

"Right...I suppose you get used to the taste eventually..."

"Exactly!"

Mai wondered ifthisis what her step-brother had meant when he said to make friends. The redhead smiled warmly. "I'm Mary."

"I'm Mai."

"It's nice to meet you, Mai. But, do you think you could open the door, y'know, so we can get out before..."

Mary didn't get a chance to finish her sentence because at that moment a firm hand rapped on the door.

"Mary? Are you in there?"

"Fiddlesticks!" Mary hissed, "it's Father."

"Want me to let him in? I think there's room if you scootch up a little, or I could stand in the bowl?" Mai asked helpfully.

"What? No! He can't find us in here!"

"Mary?!" Her father banged on the door again.

"Just...just a minute, Father," Mary called back, her voice cracking with fear, "I'm...I'm just finishing up."

There was a long, intimidating pause. Then her father replied warily, "I'll wait outside."

"I'm dead," Mary whispered, hyperventilating, "if Father finds me in here with you, I'm dead. We need to get out of here."

"Wanna try the window?"

Mai was surprised by the look of incredulous disbelief on Mary's face. "We're on a train, Mai!"

"We could swap clothes!" Mai suggested. "Then you could pretend to be me."

Mary looked to the heavens. "How would that help? Oh, Lord, please, Lord, give me a sign. Help a sister out."

--

--

At that moment, Mai sensed it. Some would call it a sixth sense. A hotline to the universe. Mai felt it when she read the tarot cards. A vibration in the air. A shimmer in space-time.

"Open the door," Mai said, dreamily.

"Are youmad?" Mary gasped.

"Trust me. Open it...now!"

For some reason that she couldn't put her finger on, Mary complied. The narrow corridor beyond the toilet door was empty.

Mai followed Mary out of the toilet and discovered that the corridor was blocked by the large frame of a man in a black suit.

"What's going on, Father?" Mary asked the man.

Mary's father looked over his shoulder and scowled. Mai felt his gaze creeping down her body, his eyes widening with shock as they landed on her exposed midriff.

"It's nothing..."

"It's not nothing!" Insisted another man standing beyond Mary's father. He carried a petite blonde girl in his arms. "Something terrible is happening, something..."

At that moment, Mai heard a pained moan from the far end of the carriage. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as her peculiar intuition tingled. Then she heard a voice that was husky, almost a growl, and spoke only two words over and over again.

"I want..."

--

--

To most normal people, what happened next would have been unthinkable. But Mai wasn't normal.

When Mary's father sunk to his knees to fellate the lurching sex zombie, most of the passengers froze in shock. They only started moving when the horde of horny loons stormed the carriage. By then it was too late for most of them.

But not Mai.

"Down here!" She cried, yanking Mary to the floor and sliding beneath a seat as the other passengers crushed towards a bottleneck at the rear of the carriage in their panic to escape the sex-maniacs.

They huddled together, shying away from the scrum in the aisle. Somewhere nearby, a girl was screaming.

"Dad!"

Another voice, more distant, called back. "Ellie!"

"Dad!" She screamed again.

The man's voice was even further away, barely audible over the grunting, gasping, groaning of the sex zombies. "Ellie!"

The girl's final cry was full of despair and came from right beside Mai and Mary's hiding place, only a few seats from the oncoming rush of randy animals. "Larry!"

Mai reacted instinctively - her hand shot out from beneath the seats and clasped tightly around the distraught girl's ankle.

"Down here, quick!"

A moment later, the girl was scrambling beneath the seats, squishing Mai tightly to Mary's soft body. The newcomer huddled trembling beside Mai as the fray of fornicating freaks filled the carriage above them. Over and over, she repeated three words in a thin whisper, "he left me...he left me."

Gradually the screams of the uninfected passengers diminished. The violent rush of bodies stilled. And then pungent scent filled the carriage - sweet and thick, it had an oddly calming effect on the three girls cowering beneath the seats.

The newcomer - Ellie, Mai guessed - fell silent. New sounds filled the train compartment - low moans and whimpers, the slap of flesh, squelching and sucking. A heavy weight dropped onto the seats above them.

"I want...I want..." came the breathy gasps as the seats began to rock and squeal above them.

"My brother is in the next carriage," Mai whispered to the girls beside her. "if we can get to Seo-jun, he'll protect us."

"It's hopeless," Mary whimpered, "those...those things are all around us. They corrupted Father!"

The seats were shaking violently above them, the occupants escalating cries of pleasure adding to the growing chorus of lewdness in the carriage.

"He left me," murmured the petite blonde next to Mai.

Mai took her hand and smiled in what she hoped was an encouraging way, "Seo-jun will take care of us. He won't leave us."

The blonde's big blue eyes shone with tears. "Promise?"

Mai nodded. "C'mon. Follow me."

The three girls began to crawl beneath the seats in the direction of Seo-jun's carriage, doing their best to avoid the slick puddles of bodily fluids that had begun to form on the floor.

Something hot and sticky dripped into Mai's face. She froze, glancing up directly into the spread legs of a quivering woman laid spread-eagle on a table between four inward facing seats. Two elegantly manicured fingers were strumming the woman's obscenely swollen clit, triggering convulsions that forced another string of glistening love-juice from her swollen sex.

The shining rope hung momentarily above Mai, then dropped onto her awestruck face. The impact was instant and overwhelming. Her repulsion at the horny fuckers melted away. A powerful wave of hormones flushed through her body, lowering her inhibitions, flaming the growing heat between her thighs.

"Mai!" Mary's fearful cry snapped Mai from her trance without a second to spare. She was inches from the woman's clenching cunt, her tongue extended for more of the aromatic juice.

How had she got there? She couldn't remember. Her pulse was racing, drumming in her ears. She felt dizzy. But the spell was broken - for the moment, at least.

Dropping back to her stomach, Mai continued to lead the girls until they reached the final row of seats and could go no further. They rested briefly, hunched between the seats, wiping unspeakable slime from their faces.

It was quieter down that end of the carriage - the unmistakable sounds of rutting and sucking were concentrated in the middle of the carriage where the infected had fallen upon fresh victims. Mai peered down the aisle at the writhing mass of flesh copulating meters away.

"Heaven help us," Mary whispered, making the sign of the cross over her heaving bossum.

Ellie tugged at Mai's skirt and pointed behind her at the sliding glass door to the next carriage. "They've blocked it! We're trapped!"

The view through the door was obstructed by a pile of luggage that extended all the way to the ceiling. Mai bit her lip thoughtfully. "Seo-jun is back there. He'll let us through."

"He'll never hear us," Ellie whined. "If we make a noise, they'llnotice us. We'll be..."

"...fucked," Mary finished, with uncharacteristic frankness. Her lip trembled. "Just like Father."

Mai had never had a friend before. And maybe it was too soon to call the demure redhead a friend. But Mary hadn't laughed at her, or called her names, or made excuses to get away from her. Courage blossomed in Mai's heart. She'd do it for Mary. For her friend.

"Stay here and keep hidden," Mai said with a reassuring smile.

"Wait!"

But it was too late - Mai sprung lightly into the aisle and tapped against the door to the next carriage with her fingernails. "Seo-jun, it's me. Mai. Let me in."
