I did everything I could over the first few weeks of not speaking with Evie to keep my mind occupied. I threw myself into work, went on a date with Elisa, and chatted with many of the girls from the dating site. When I found myself aroused, I got off. Sometimes it was just a need; other times, I was going through the motions. But the more time I spent apart from Evie, the worse I seemed to get.
I couldn't even begin to understand how I got to the point I was in life. I went from being a normal, seemingly heterosexual girl to being absolutely in love with a woman and asking her to get married. It was a change I never saw coming, but one I felt was who I was supposed to be. Even when I had met Elisa for that dinner date about two weeks after I threw Evie out, I felt comfortable knowing I was on a date with a woman. If I hadn't been in the midst of utter internal turmoil over what was happening with Evie, I may have considered starting a dating relationship with her. But at that time, I was still spinning so out of control, that I just couldn't phantom it.
Needless to say, just shy of three weeks after our blowout, I received a handwritten note in the mail from Evie. It was three pages long, smelled of her perfume, and was penned out with all of her heart. In her words, I found solace, comfort, and belief that I had changed her world just as much as she had changed mine. In it, she stated that she had told Walter I had asked her to marry me. She wrote his responses out to me, and to be honest, they were rather obnoxious and rather offensive.
At the end of the letter, she begged me to call her. To talk to her, to let her back into my life, and promise that if I did, she would start making progress to leave him and be with me. I was so torn. I wanted to believe her, to have her back, and to make this work. But I also felt that this was just going to be another scheme to keep me at arm's distance, while she beat around the bush, dragging this out.
I missed her. I really did. She - at that point - was my heart and my soul. I was absolutely in love. I wanted nothing more than to be with her. To live together. To make love. To spend nights doing nothing at all, or weekends away at some little resort town, where we'd go window shopping. I wanted the arguments couples have, but I wanted them because we loved each other and were fighting for what we believed in, not because of Walter or a delay in her getting a divorce.
In the end, I gave in and called her on Sunday afternoon. The conversation was slow, uneasy, and stressful, but we did manage to open the door to further conversations. Over time, we agreed to meet for dinner, and, as awkward and unsettling as it was, I finally got to hear what I needed to hear.
After I left the restaurant and got home, I felt "comfortable" that we had talked, but still rather uneasy about where this was going. Surprisingly, just as I sat down to let tonight's conversation really sink in, I got a series of short erotic video messages from Evie. It seems she didn't go home, but drove herself to a rather dark, secluded area, and she was whispering words of love and admiration as she slowly slid her pants down, then her panties, and was fingering herself hard, to multiple orgasms, telling me how much she loved me and missed me. How she couldn't wait to be with me again. That she hadn't been missing me since I told her to leave my place, but after seeing me and hoping we could repair this relationship, she was overly aroused.
Of course, moments into re-watching the videos and hearing the words I had been longing to hear, it wasn't long until my panties were down and I was fingering myself, watching her fingering herself. In the end, I begged her to come over and make love to me, to put her words into action, but by the time I had finished watching and had gotten the courage to demand she come over, she was already home.
At this point, I hadn't found out about her and Walter's little game. The one I mentioned at the end of the last story. At this point in our time together, I was still believing I was the first woman she had ever had sex with, and was the first woman she had been in love with.
Over the next few days, Evie started asking me all kinds of very deep, very profound questions, like, "Am I ready to have her living with me? Do I have room for her stuff? What happens if she goes through Menopause sooner than later, gets sick, or has some health issues? Would we have a big wedding, or something simple and quiet with just family and very close friends? Could I support her, since she hadn't worked in years? Would I always love her and want to be with her?"
All of her questions were very deep and well-thought-out. It was something we both needed to consider, and I needed to make sure I was capable of doing it. I answered most with a resounding yes. I was ready. I was in love. I wanted to be with her. I wanted her to be my wife.
Evie came by later that week, after we met for dinner, and we sat on the couch for a long time, talking about us and talking about where this could go. How long would it take her to pack her stuff and move out of her house and into mine? How long the divorce could take? How she had to sit her children down one day soon and tell them that she was in love with a woman. That she was going to leave their father and come be with me. I knew she was scared. I knew this was life-altering. I knew we'd have problems with Walter, especially if he got drunk. But in the end that evening, we made love, and it was incredible.
I won't go into detail about it, because I'm sure by now you all understand how sensual and sexual we were behind closed doors. When she left that night, she promised me to make contact with a divorce attorney the next day and start the process. She was trembling when she said it, but I hoped she would have the courage to do it....
Well... She didn't. One day, turned to two. A few days turned into a full week of nothing but excuse after excuse, after excuse on why she "wasn't able to call the attorney." The more she delayed, played games, and led me on, the more pissed I got. I wasn't even heartbroken or deflated anymore. I was just angry. Promise, after promise, after promise was broken. It seemed she could talk the talk, but not walk the walk. Even more aggravating was that I hadn't seen her since the night she came, more than a week ago. I really started questioning whether or not she actually told Walter I proposed. That she told him she was leaving him. I didn't want to be some vile, emotional bitch, so I wasn't going there to confront them, but I needed her to step it up.
It had always been a big looming fear in the back of my head that she was just telling me what I wanted to hear, and never taking any steps to move it forward. And she was surely proving those fears as completely justified. As bummed as I was, I decided that until she finally does something, I was going to cut this off. In another heated text debate, I told her, "Until you leave him and actually do what you've promised to do, we are no longer together." In essence, it was one of those, shit, or get off the pot moments. I had had enough of being led on, lied to, and manipulated, with broken promise after promise. I was done.
I knew it would suck. I knew I'd miss her, I knew I was going to be an emotional basket case, but I was also plain old tired of waiting for something that never seemed to happen. It was time to move on, or move forward. That was where I left it with her. The big ultimatum, come or don't, but I am moving forward.
And that's when I found out the truth about them. See, I was shopping one night after work at the market when I ran into an old Girl Guide member named Jennifer. I didn't recognize her, but she recognized me. After I walked past her in the store, she said, "Isabella, is that you?"
I turned and looked at her, just trying to place her name with her face. She spoke, "It's me, Jennifer Gray, from The Guides. Don't you remember me? I was one of the senior leaders when you started."
"I'm sorry, Jennifer, I didn't recognize you. But, yes, I remember you."
We stood talking in the aisle for a while, and even though it was nice to see her, I don't think I even heard a word she said. I was having one of those days when my heart, my anger, and my emotions were in such flux that I couldn't even think straight.
"Jennifer even stopped talking at one point and got my attention focused again by asking me, "Isabella, are you okay?"
I replied to her, assuring her I was, but that "I was going through a lot with the relationship problems I was having, and that I was so out of sorts on some days, that I couldn't think straight."
Jennifer understood and said, "I know that feeling, I've been there."
"I tell you what," she excitedly snapped out, "Here's my number if you want to talk about it, I'm here to listen."
"Ugh, I don't know Jennifer," I replied. "I haven't seen you in years, I really don't know you, and I don't want to burden you with my problems, and truthfully, I think it's someone you may know or remember, so I don't want to put you in an awkward position."
"Really?" she snapped back. "Someone I may know. Well then, you gotta call me."
Jennifer slipped a folded-up piece of paper, which she had torn off her grocery list, into the palm of my hand, reached in and hugged me before I could even react, and said to me, "Text me, Isabella, I'd love to hear all about it."
She walked away just as fast as she had originally approached me. Just like that, I was standing in the market aisle, my head spinning, a folded-up piece of paper in my hand, and my heart pounding because I knew that if I called her and told her I was in love with Evie, it might make the whole situation really weird.
I didn't call or text her for a few days. I never wanted to. I wasn't looking to reconnect with her or become buddies, and I also didn't want to burden someone with my shit-show life of being dragged through the mud by a married woman, but I really had no one else to talk to about this. Yes, I could chat with the girls on the site I was on, or ones I had gotten closer with and had been texting regularly, but they'd all be like "Fuck Evie, find someone else. Date me," and that's not what I needed, so I decided to reach out to Jennfer and just never use Evie's name.
Well, weren't we both in for a shock when I started revealing my whole situation to her? Revealing that I believe I was a lesbian, that I was in love with a married woman, and one night at dinner with Jennifer, when I let Evie's name slip from my lips, my whole world got turned upside down again. And the truth of their little game came to light.
I'll tell you all about that in the next chapter, and even my first night with Elisa, when I fucked her as vengeance against Evie.
That was a mistake, but one hell of a fun night.
