Rick’s Story; Beginnings
Ch. 02 - Deb
Ch. 02 - Deb
Dave and Deb had been happily married for about five years. They lived in the City, in an upscale penthouse apartment overlooking City Park. Dave was in his late 30s and Deb a bit younger, in her late 20s.
Before they were married, Deb had made a career for herself, first as a standout saleswoman for Computer Corp., then as the owner of her own business. Deb had been born and raised in the country. Deb's father left when she was young, and her mother struggled to raise her and her siblings after he was gone. As the eldest, Deb had to help her mother as much as she could. Deb therefore learned at a young age to take care of herself, and she wasn't afraid of a challenge or of what other people thought of her doing it. She found an outlet in tennis, helped by her high school coach. She taught Deb how to play, how to evaluate and find her opponent's weaknesses and exploit them to her advantage. She learned to hide her own intentions and move her opponent into a position where she could control the game on her terms. Deb loved having someone who took an interest in her and thought she could make something of herself. As a result, she took every lesson to heart and practiced as much as she could, eventually becoming all-state in high school tennis. Deb also studied hard graduating cum laude.
Deb went to City College on a tennis scholarship. There she met Cindy and the two became lifelong friends. Cindy was from the City, and had traveled widely with her parents who were in the foreign service. Cindy was much more worldly than Deb even though they were the same age. It was Cindy that taught Deb about boys, and that sex could be so much more than getting pawed by some guy. Cindy taught Deb how to dress and develop her own style. Like her tennis coach Deb took to Cindy because she showed an interest in her. It was Cindy who taught Deb the ways of the world that would help her future business succeed.
Deb was very pretty, about five feet seven, tan, with short auburn hair in the wedge style that was then popular. She took good care of herself. Thanks to Cindy she could dress to kill, but when she was more casual, she preferred to dress in a sporty manner. She had a trim, athletic figure, with nice full breasts and a tight ass. She had a nice thick, trimmed auburn bush, but she waxed her outer labia.
While her good looks were an advantage in sales, and Deb received a lot of attention from men, not all of it was wanted. Deb certainly faced more than her share of sexual harassment from her co-workers, bosses, and client representatives. Today, this sort of thing would not be allowed, but at that time it was just considered how things were. Because of her upbringing, and the things she learned from Cindy, Deb mastered the art of dealing with men and their constant attempts to sleep with her. Deb knew the power of her sexuality and wasn't afraid to wield it. She could be very seductive and loved arousal. If she met a guy who turned her on, she made love with him but on her terms. Deb wanted to be in control during sex; while she wasn't particular about being top or bottom, her favorite position was cowgirl, where she could control the depth and pace of the thrusting. In a certain intimate circle, she was known as a skilled fellatrix and a master of pompoir.
When Deb left Computer Corp. to start her own company, she had already made a small fortune as one of the most successful sales managers ever in the history of the company. Deb had also invested her earnings well. Deb left to start her business as one of the first "lifestyle companies" specializing in meeting the varied and unique desires of the wealthy. Most of Deb's clients were male, but there were a few women. Deb's skill in sales made her company the most successful of its kind in the City.
That was until Deb met Dave. She met him at a party hosted by her brokerage. When she was introduced to Dave, she was immediately taken by his good looks and direct manner. He was in arbitrage with one of the major investment firms and had grown up in the City with his family, who also had money. He was about 5 foot ten, with ice blue eyes and curly black hair with slightly graying temples. She found him very handsome; for his part he couldn't take his eyes off her. His direct manner could almost seem cold to some. But to Deb, having experienced so much bullshit in her sales career, his directness was a breath of fresh air. They started dating and their friends thought they were a great couple. They were very much alike, other than that Dave liked to flash their wealth to some degree, nice cars, watches, that sort of thing, while Deb preferred a more conservative style. They fell in love and were married about a year after they first met.
After they were married, Deb felt that she no longer wanted the hassle of managing her business. Dave, through his work and his family, obviously had plenty of money. She had been successful, but she suddenly felt "been there, done that" about her business, and it no longer interested her. She closed shop, and basically retired to the life of a woman of means.
On weekends, Dave and Deb started visiting the countryside in Upstate County. They would drive up from the City on Friday staying in various small inns and guesthouses. They would spend the day hiking in the hills or visiting the local craft shops and small museums in the area. At night they would dine at one of the local restaurants and then spend the night snuggled in bed making love, returning to the City on Sunday. These visits to Upstate County underlined for Deb how hectic her life had become in the City, and that in the back of her mind there had always been a love for the fresh air.
On one of their visits, they were driving down a back road when they passed a small farm with a for sale sign. The farm probably had 15 acres, both woods and fields, with a large, two-story farmhouse with a third attic level with two large dormer windows on each side of the roof. Behind the house was a barn up a slight hill. Between the barn and the house was a small pond which was swimmable although it also would need to be cleaned out. The property was rectangular, longer front to back, with a gentle rolling slope until fronting the road that ran about 200 feet from the front of the farmhouse. A large open field was on the right of the house and barn as you looked towards them from the road. Deb fell in love with it immediately even though it obviously needed work. Unlike Dave and his family, she wasn't a city girl and dreamed of living in, or at least having, a place of her own in the country. Dave was reluctant at first, but they made a lowball offer that was accepted. Deb put the down payment on the farm with her own money, though once they had acquired the property Dave took a liking to it too.
Initially, they had hired a company to shore up the house and barn structurally, repair the roofs, renovate the kitchen, the downstairs office, the master bedroom, and bath, and the two other bathrooms, one upstairs and one down. They added a deck just behind the house looking towards the pond and the barn. The difficulty of the job and therefore the cost had been more than they had expected. But the initial remodeling enabled them to use the farm as a summer weekend getaway. Dave was around generally Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday, returning to the City on Sunday evenings. Deb was usually there the entire week, supervising the work, playing tennis at a local club and generally enjoying being in the country and out of the City.
