S: 19? I primary smoked when I drank though

E: I had a boyfriend my freshmen year that smoked so I smoked with him, I'm mostly a social smoker

S: Yes, maybe 8 more

S: Most of my friends smoke, some colleagues, my family are nonsmokers

E: My older sister still smokes too, parents don't, I mostly work from home but I know a couple of the other girls are also social smokers. My friends mostly smoke

S: Yes, I seem to always meet smokers

S: Drinking or out at bars/clubs I'll want to smoke more, I don't feel like smoking when exercising

S: I put no, I don't think I smoke enough to be labelled that way

J: Not really, I already disliked running though

S: They don't really, they would disapprove

E: They know my sister smokes and they do not approve, I don't think they know I smoke

In your own words what is so appealing about smoking?

S: I like socializing with a cigarette, I love the feeling smoking gives me

E: I just love the look and the feeling

J: I love the smoke hitting the back of my throat, provides me instant relaxation

Is there anything you find unappealing about smoking?

S: I dislike that long term they are unhealthy

E: I don't like that they're not good for me

J: I wish they weren't dangerous to my health

S: I'll quit within 10 years

After emailing in their responses, the girls received replies back to set up their video interviews. They were requested to pick a night that would work for all three where they would each receive a free smoking hotel room at a local casino in exchange for their 2 hour interview sessions. They all agreed on a date the following Saturday, they received an itinerary where Jenn would be interviewed first at 2:30, 30 minutes after check-in, followed by Emily at 5:00, and Sara at 7:30. After their interviews, the girls would receive their payment in cash and would be free to do as they pleased until checkout the following morning.
