The Relationship Experiment
"So, Veronica...what exactly happened last night?" Anna asked while Veronica was driving us back to campus.
"Hmm...well, I don't normally like to kiss and tell, so I'll keep it brief." Veronica replied in an uncertain tone. "I...sort of...got to know the band a little better...."
"Wow, so..." Anna began while a smile slowly spread across her face. "Did you...you know...do that with the whole band..."
At that point, I couldn't help it. I laughed so hard that I had to fully lean against the car door for support. My stomach heaved hard while I tried to stop it, but at that point, the dam had already burst. Hearing both cousins try so hard to talk around Veronica clearly having slept with members of the band was just too much.
"W-what's so funny back t-there?" Veronica asked while stifling her laughter while trying to drive. "It seems like we broke you."
I couldn't manage more than a gasp of more laughter in response. They both went quiet until I finally managed to stop. My sides paid for it more than anywhere else on my body.
"You know what? Fine," Anna began. "I figured she would be embarrassed, but I was apparently wrong. Go ahead, Veronica. She can handle it."
"Well, alright then...so, I had a threesome with the co-singers. When I was on stage, I was basically told to meet them backstage because I had nice tits. After meeting them both back there and chatting for awhile, they took me back to their van. We exchanged numbers after we finished so they could contact me again if they ended up back in this town again." Veronica said.
"Wow. So, like, that is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Also, wow Cassy. You're redder than Veronica's shirt. You weren't prepared to hear that at all, were you?" Anna said while smirking
"W-well, I am a little jealous right now. You got to meet them personally and got to be closer than any of their fans could ever dream of." I said with complete and total amazement peppering my voice.
"Yeah, it was great. But still...I am really sorry I ditched you guys." Veronica said with genuine remorse.
"Don't worry about it. You might not have ever gotten a chance like that again." Anna said while patting her cousin's knee.
"I echo her sentiments. Besides, we literally crashed as soon as we got back. We probably just would have said "goodnight" and left immediately when we arrived at the hotel." I said.
"Aww. Thanks you guys. Next time 'I'll stay the whole concert...or just invite you both along if you like that sort of thing." Veronica paused for a second. "Well, errr, maybe just Cassy...and not with me..."
"You totally realized you put your foot in your mouth, huh?" Anna teased.
"Y-yeah. Sorry." Veronica replied with an awkward laugh.
Soon afterwards, we arrived back at the dorms. I bid farewell to Anna and Veronica after grabbing my bags out of the trunk. My footsteps echoed up the stairs as I made my way up to my room. As soon as I got inside, I threw my bags down and plopped down onto the bed. I stared at the ceiling as I thought about what happened last night.
Anna and I had always felt rather close, but I had never realized how close until last night. My cheeks heated when I remembered her falling asleep in my arms. And how nice it had felt...
I sat up and shook my head. I didn't want to think about this right now. I had to unpack my bags and tidy up a bit before meeting Anna for lunch. She was driving home to stay with her parents for two weeks for Christmas, so I wanted to see her off with a smile. I could think more about my feelings on the matter later.
After cleaning for a while, I eventually got a text from Anna to meet her downstairs so we could head to the pizza place in town and go eat at the pavilion in the local park. She grinned and opened the passenger door for me. I gave her a quizzical look and got in.
"What's with the royal treatment?" I asked as I buckled my seatbelt.
"Well...I'm not going to see you for two weeks, so I just wanted to give you a real princess experience." She giggled as she got in and buckled her on.
"Weirdo." I teased.
"Although this princess treatment doesn't get to go to the bedroom since we don't' have time for that before I leave." She said with a wink before driving out of the parking lot.
We both couldn't help but giggle for several minutes. It wasn't a very long drive to our destination, so we arrived shortly. I made her stay in her seat as I got out of the car and came around to open the door for her.
She dramatically stuck her hand for me to take and I pulled her up. Just before I could let go, she held onto it for a moment and kissed it before giving it back. I could feel my cheeks flush all the way down to my neck and she gave me a crooked smile.
"Shall we?" She asked in a posh tone as she curtsied.
"Of course." I said with a posh tone and courtesy of my own.
We walked toward the door giggling and she opened it once we made it and let me through first. I thanked her and led the way to the counter. There were several people behind the counter putting pizza in the ovens and tending to customers. We got in line as we waited for our turn.
After several minutes, we finally made it to the front. We ended up ordering a supreme pizza to share between the two of us and went and sat down across from each other as we waited.
We waited in comfortable silence as Anna began a game of "Footsie" under the table. I joined her as she pushed our feet back and forth. I smirked as I angled my foot upwards and let the front of it trail up her leg slightly.
Anna's face changed colors and did the same with her other leg. I was determined to get a bit more of that out of her as I was usually the one getting embarrassed. However, I think she quickly caught on, for she abruptly changed tactics and caught my foot between both her legs.
"Damn it." I mouthed at her.
"Cute attempt. I win though." She mouthed back.
Her triumphant smirk was so... sexily her. I stared at her a moment while my mouth opened and closed like a fish gasping for air.
"So, did you get the email yet for the midterms test results?" I asked once I had caught my breath from our little foot fight.
"Not yet. I was hoping I would get them before I left today, but oh well," Anna responded while checking her phone. "Do you think all the studying we did for the last week actually helped?"
"I hope so. That's the hardest I've ever studied in my life." I joked while watching Anna nervously poke at her phone.
"Y-yeah. Same here. So..." Anna trailed off while putting her phone away.
"Hmm?"
"Well, you see...oh, never mind." Anna sighed and put her chin on her fists stacked on top of each other.
Our awkward conversation suddenly hit a very awkward pause as we sat there and watched the other customers come and go with their orders. I kept glancing at Anna out of the corner of my eye and she appeared to be looking anywhere but at me. Which was exactly what I was doing right now. So fuck it. Maybe now would be the best time to ask about our current "circumstances".
"Hey Anna..." I began haltingly.
"Hmm?" She replied with an adorable head tilt that reminded me of a dog a friend from high school had.
My heart began a frantic drum beat in my chest and practically clawed its way up my throat. I put my now sweaty palms in my lap as I racked my scrambled brain for the right words. I wanted...no, needed to know...what we were.
"Do you think...how do I put this? What do you-" I stammered, feeling my heart speed up even more.
"Pizza for Anna!" Shouted a man at the counter.
I definitely just squeaked that out above the range of actual human hearing. Great job, there Cassy. I thought as Anna got up to retrieve our food. I scrambled up and out of my chair to follow after her. As man handed her the box of pizza, I grabbed the fountain drinks and we were on our way.
Once we were back in the car, Anna turned to look at me.
"What were you trying to say back there, Cassy?" She asked with a gentle smile.
My heart came to a brief stop before abruptly starting again. Shit. She definitely didn't hear what I said. Where did I even start?
"Oh. So, well...did you have plans for after you got back home?" I lied as my courage failed me.
"Let's me think..." Anna began as she backed out of the parking lot and began driving to the park. "There is a Christmas play my parents and I go to see every year. Other than that... just the normal Christmas stuff."
"So, like, the standard meal scene they show in your average family Christmas movie?" I asked.
"Something like that," She replied with a giggle. "So, what are your plans?"
"Hmm. I'll probably just stay in the dorm and work on some stuff I had been putting off," I replied. "I think I mentioned my parents were divorced, but the other day within a few minutes of each other they both invited me to their house for break. I think they are both trying to win me."
"Yeah, I think you had mentioned that. I can understand why you declined..." She said, trailing off a little.
"No one uses declined anymore, Anna!." I snapped when I meant for it to come off more of a gentle tease.
I could tell she looked a little unsure of how to navigate the topic, so I tried to think of a way to change the subject while she pulled into the park. Once we came to a stop, we grabbed our stuff and walked over to a nearby park bench. We sat in silence for a few minutes while we started eating.
As I took my first bite, I couldn't help but feel like I fucked up a little. We hadn't really ever argued before...well, at least over anything major. Debating about my color coordination or how much she sucked at video games were simply things we messed with each other over. I started to apologize but stopped three or four times before finally coming up with the right words.
"Sorry, Anna. I didn't mean to snap like that. So...who usually cooks for the Christmas meal in your family?" I asked.
"All three of us do. It's been a tradition since I was little to help with the cooking. Mom makes the sides, dad cooks the turkey, and I make dessert." She replied with a wistful expression.
"Awww. That's rather wholesome. What dessert are you making this year?"
"Blueberry cheesecake! My mom actually requested I make it this year. Every year she..."
I smiled warmly at Anna as she proceeded to describe her family dynamic in more detail. Her dad only ever wanted to make the turkey because he found the lengthy process relaxing. Her mom loved experimenting with different spices to enhance the simple flavor of green beans along with other common sides.
I couldn't help but think how bad my family had been since before my parents got divorced. Mom and dad would fight with one of them storming off on multiple occasions. Holidays in my family were rather awkward as my parents both tried to get along for me despite the obvious tension lingering between them. I was happy for Anna, but I couldn't help but feel a little envious at the same time.
"Meanwhile, I...," Anna stammered as a slight blush crept dusted her cheeks. "Just love baking. I always have so much fun seeing how my mom and dad will react. Just making them smile after is really important to me.
Anna and I fell into a companionable silence while we ate our food. While the chilly air was not the most comfortable, I was feeling certainly warm that moment sitting beside Anna.
"When they announced their divorce when I was fourteen, I had remembered feeling relieved. After all, as they say, staying together for the kid doesn't necessarily make them any happier." I said suddenly losing control of myself for a minute. Without fully meaning to, I blurted out the pain I felt and described my family situation to her growing up.
I had to pause for a minute to gather myself before looking over at Anna. She gave me a sympathetic look and squeezed my hand. And, just like that, I felt like a weight had lifted off my shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Cassy. Here I was going on about my happy family situation while you must have felt like I was talking about something you never had. I know you aren't the kind of person that would hold me having different circumstances with my family than yours, but still..." She trailed off as she laid her head on my shoulder.
"Nah. Don't worry about it. I just...haven't told anyone about just how bad it affected me before. I had always told friends in the past that I wasn't bothered by the divorce, but I could never open up to them fully about it. I feel so grateful to you for just listening to me. And, yeah, I felt a little envious hearing about your family. But, more than anything, I was just glad to hear about the happy moments in your life so I could imagine what something like that could be like."
I paused for a second so I could finish off a good chunk of the last slice of my pizza. Opening up to someone was hungry work after all.
"Anyway, that's way I told both of them "no" because I knew what would happen. They have been both fighting over getting me to stay with them for bragging rights every ever since they split. I finally had enough now that I'm free and on my own this year." I finished as I took a big gulp of my soda.
I turned my head when I heard someone shouting only to see a boy running along the path with a slightly taller girl slightly behind him.
After the girl got tackled the boy to the ground, I almost stood up before Anna's hand reached up to tug me back down. I gave her a puzzled look before shook her head with a small smile and pointed back at the two kids.
Much to my surprise, they were both giggling as they both tumbled around on the ground. The boy came out top and began tickling her while she failed around. I relaxed and went back to eating my food.
After they left and we finished our food, Anna turned to whisper in my ear. I shivered a little as her hot breath melted the cold around the shell of my ear.
"You're so innocent. Makes me wish you were going home with me so I could defile you in my bed..." She said ever so softly while nibbling on my ear a little.
As she pulled back with a sideways grin, I flushed and quickly looked around to see if anyone had seen. I turned back around afterwards to see her standing up with her trash. I followed suit and grabbed my own.
"Shall we?" She asked with a wink.
I nodded and off we went to the nearest trash can to get rid of our empty food box and Anna's soda bottle. I still had half of my drink left, which I nursed on a little as we headed back to Anna's car.
Before long, we were once again on the road. I savored our chattering about nothing in particular as she took us back to the dorms. I know it would only be for two weeks, but I would still miss seeing her as frequently as I had.
Soon enough, it was time for her to drop me off. We sat for a few minutes in silence as the engine continued to hum. I worked up the courage to sneak a peak at her to see an expression on her face I couldn't quite decipher. Her eyebrows were practically bunched together as she chewed on her lower lip.
"Hey, Cassy," Anna began. "So...well...see you in two weeks.
"You too." I replied with a twinge of disappointment that I couldn't quite hide.
As I started to open the door and get out, I felt Anna grab my shoulder. I turned around to feel Anna's lips crash into mine. Her kiss was hungry and desperate, and my mouth responded in kind.
We sat there for a few minutes as our lips and tongues melded together. We both moaned softly into each other's mouths and as we held on to each other. Eventually, air became a necessity, and so it eventually came to end.
"I just...wanted something...to get me through...until I'm back." She said between heavy panting.
"I certainly...won't...forget it." I replied just as equally out of breath.
"Good. See you." She said softly.
"See you." I responded while getting out and closing the door.
We waved at each other as she headed home for the holidays. I watched her drive back onto the roadway and disappear around the gym building before I decided to finally head inside the dorms. I felt a little...empty as I made my way back to my room.
Later that night, I lay in my bed staring up at the ceiling with my eyes wide open. Sleep was not wanting to show itself. And it wasn't really because I missed Anna. It was due to my thoughts drifting back to the same question...
"What are we?" I whispered into my almost pitch black room.
Over and over this question plagued my thoughts. Truthfully, I didn't want to go down this train of thought. That line of thinking had led to nothing but heartbreak with several girls since high school. And Anna was my best friend.
I turned onto my side and tried once again to fall asleep. After several more minutes, I sighed and sat up. Fuck it. It was time to admit it to myself or I would never sleep.
"It seems I'm in love with Anna." I whispered as I laid my head in my hands.
I spent the rest of the night thinking about how to confess to Anna how I felt. I couldn't keep pretending these feelings weren't there. It would destroy me if I let myself keep denying how I felt about her.
So I came up with a plan while she was gone.
Well, OK, several dozen...
Over the first week, I came up with so many plans only to instantly dismiss them. I then came up with more plans only to realize they were just the same plans I had already come up with. And there may also been naked pacing involved during my temporary mental break of needing to masturbate in between sessions of worrying to distract myself. I just had to figure out a way to ask her out on a real date.
Finally, I threw myself into the shower to clear my head. I let the water run over my head and down my body as I sat in the tub to wash my hair. Scrubbing my head did wonders for calming my anxious thoughts before they could wonder further.
Eventually, I stood up to finish. As I did, my thoughts went back to Anna. I thought of her lips upon mine. And of her perky nipples in my mouth. And her soft cries as I hungrily explored her very wet depths...
Before I knew it, I was putting my shower head against my pussy and letting the hot water stream over it. I gasped and grinded against the gushing water as I turned the nozzle to a harder setting. The hot water felt amazing as it hit my clit over and over.
Anna was all I could think about as I pleasured myself. I wished i could ride her face instead, but I would have to make do until she got back. Fuck, I...
"I love...you, Anna." I whimpered softly as I got closer and closer to climax.
I needed this release like...I knew that I needed Anna. Wanted her. And not just for sex. For...her.
I finally came harder than I had while masturbating in awhile. Something about knowing that I wanted to be with Anna just completely unlocked a level of self pleasure that I didn't think was possible. And so, for the first time in my life, I squirted. It wasn't like it was in porn, but I knew that had to be what it was. Several quick bursts of fluid was all I managed, but it felt nice.
I panted against the shower wall for a moment to catch my breath. As I recovered, I finally realized what I had to do. I cleaned up again a little before turning off the water. After pulling aside the curtain, I stepped out to begin drying off. After that was done, I ran full tilt back to my phone and looked up Anna in my contacts.
Taking a deep breath, I pushed the call button and waited nervously for a response. I didn't get one, however, as it eventually went to voicemail. I hung up. My heart lurched a little, but I let reason take over on this one. She was with her family right now and might not have even been near her phone. So, instead, I would just leave her a text for her to answer later.
"Hey. I need to talk to you when you get a chance. Call me later?" I typed out and immediately hit "sent" before I could change my mind.
