Badass - A Hannah Todd Story
Badass - A Hannah Todd Story
This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. This work is copy written by the author. All characters involved in sexual activity are eighteen years of age or older at the time of portrayal.
This is the continuing adventures of Hannah Todd. I would strongly recommend you stop reading this and go back and read at least some of "The Bridge" which provides the back story for most of the characters in this story. I know... it's 30 chapters and lots and lots of pages, but I and a small handful of folks think it's pretty good. I have tried to provide some of the history of the characters so that you can feel like you are getting the full story just by reading Badass. So proceed as you wish. And, bad or good, your feedback is always welcome.
Badass - Part Six
Badass - Part Six
Three different gals were assigned to 'discreetly' meet up with Anthony at a bar he favored in Paramus. He'd go to the bar and get hit on by one of the three where she would collect the intel Anthony's persona as Tony Machiafava garnered as a bodyguard in Deacon Peacock's elite force at his Alpine home. Taking no chances that his supercell was monitoring his every move and listening to his every word, he simply passed notes which the gal would take back home to us at our home base in Romansville.
Anthony had taken part in the first of many planned training sessions with his fellow select mercenaries. He did not yet have a handle on when the operation would take place, but once photos of the property were shared among the potential force, Anthony knew where the hit would take place. They had apparently been fed the same information the fellows in Kimberton were receiving. He said that he had trained with twenty-five or so other mercenaries and was told they would be linking with as many from another source. He did not know yet when the assault would take place, or if the full force would be training together and where.
Anthony did not leave the bar with the woman, just shared a few drinks and passed a few notes and then went their separate ways. He went back to his room, and she back to us for a full debriefing.
When Duane got home, and after dinner, together we got the babies changed and into bed and departed to the videoconference room where we smooched a little but got down to brass tacks with regard to our latest crisis.
"So, my queen, what have we found out today and what are we doing about it?"
"Dolores, who was Anthony's date last night, let me know that they are building a force in Paramus as well as Kimberton. It sounds like around fifty operators that we may be going up against. Good thing Linnie gave me the go-ahead with the Little Bird."
"Oh? We're okay to arm it?"
"Kind of." Linnie said we can mount the miniguns, but not the rockets and missiles."
"Damn. I really wanted the hellfires for this mission. I'm assuming they are bringing in a chopper of their own, and they'd come in really handy."
"Well, I have no intel on a copter by them, but I guess it's possible. Anthony did cite helicopter experience on his resume, so maybe he can give us the inside line on that."
"I'm not taking any chances this time around. It's better to..."
"Ask forgiveness than permission. That's just what I said to Linnie."
"All the concrete has been poured for the pool house, and the safe room is cleared for usage while the construction crew is not working on or around it. The tunnel from the basement to the safe room is complete, and we can have the family locked in there once we have a door and locking system."
"That's scheduled to be mounted and complete by the end of this week, so if we get hit after that, we'll have a place to put our loved ones. At least for a little while. It's not yet equipped for a long stay, but for a few hours it will have to do the trick."
"They shouldn't need it for more than a few minutes. I'm doubling the guard, and everyone within a ten-mile radius is on standby. Operators with the Tuttlehills, the Chus, the Riveras and the Untermyers are all on alert and ready to return to home base on a moments notice. Herman has been drilling a twenty-person assault force to help back us up. He has prepared to have them assembled and here within an hour's time."
"Now, all we need to know is when this is going to take place. Our little wasp drones should be able to give us that in a timely manner once the decision is made by Peacock. If not, maybe Anthony would be able to get us the word. We've got a gal on him twenty-four/seven. It's Shelly, and if he begs off to go and get one last good screwin' that's a golden opportunity to pass on some primo intelligence. She's great at this too. And it's not too much of a stretch for her to act as Anthony's slut girlfriend. To her the girlfriend part is aspirational. Where the slut part is just more natural. Especially when it came to Anthony."
"We shall see, my love. I'm sending Shelly to the bar to hit on Anthony tomorrow night. Hopefully we'll know more then. Let's go to bed. I'm lookin' for some sugar tonight."
And sugar he got. We made a soft, gentle, quiet kind of love. The kind that makes mama's kitty purr. The kind of love that keeps us both tuned up. It's just the mild sedative I needed to get me into the frame of mind to get a good night's sleep.
--------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------
Today, we started drilling with the kids. How long would it take to get Bertha, Holly, Aggie and Becca into the safe room with all the kids? We made a game out of it, and everyone loved playing. Only Celeste knew this was not a game and questioned our intent.
"Mommy Hannah, why are we drilling with the safe room? Is something happening I should know about?"
"You know there is always something happening, CeeCee. We have been through a home invasion before, and it was the second hit on this house. Of course, you know about the assault on the Tuttlehill property. We just want to be prepared, just in case. I expect you to be leading the way. You will be the only one of the kids with the combination to gain entry. Mostly because it's six numbers and you will probably be the only one who remembers it."
"Thank you for your confidence in me, Mommy Hannah. I agree, and we should drill often. I'll bet we can do it in a minute if everyone cooperates and we do it often enough."
"It's just like you, CeeCee, to have all the answers. Youareright, and I think we shall drill often. Maybe once a day to start. I think a minute is a bit ambitious, but let's shoot for it."
RFS agent Shelly took off for Paramus and hit on Anthony, who had been drinking with some of his mates from the Peacock crew. Right in front of them all, she put the moves on him, and he separated from the herd and sat with her alone. Acting like it was a first-time meeting, they scribbled notes to each other on napkins and made the kind of chitchat you would expect from an initial meeting with two good-looking people.
This was not a chance meeting between the two. They were not lovers but they were friends. Friends with benefits. So, Anthony left the bar early with Shelly on his arm and decided to take advantage of this time together.
It was during the pillow talk that we first learned that Anthony and others in the Peacock crew were practicing maneuvers with a big Huey helicopter. An old one, as old as our Little Bird. It had seen service almost a hundred years ago during the Vietnam War, and had the patched bullet holes to prove it. He said it was armed but mostly equipped to haul a dozen operators to be deposited in the middle of a battle.
When Shelly left, she gave Anthony a big kiss, and he gave her sketches, notes and drawings that would aid in our assault on their castle. And that was what it was. A castle, with everything but a moat.
---------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------
The final word came down regarding the assault when Herb intercepted a call between Peacock and William Brumby regarding readiness. Brumby said that the local troops were ready, and Peacock said the same about his Jersey brigade. The day of the assault would be Sunday, April sixteenth. And they were looking to hit us early, before the sun came up. We could expect fifty or so operators in two waves. That's what the intel said. They'd all be dressed in black. To differentiate, we would be dressed in olive drab. Not my color, but in this case I'll make an exception. I'll be wearing a red cross.
While Anthony was drilling with the bad guys in the Huey, he placed a tracker so we'd know where it was at all times. It was coming with the second wave, out of Jersey, so it would be especially good to know when it's coming. Give Juicy a chance to plant one of those hellfires up its ass before it arrives on scene.
In a meeting with the squad, in the greenhouse, of course, we determined that we'd get ready to stand up on Saturday and be in fully prepared mode once their helicopter took off from Jersey heading to us in Romansville. Juicy and Ron would be on standby at the airfield along with Archer who had two full quivers of arrows ready to rain terror down from on high.
But that would mean we wouldn't have Juicy for the initial assault. So, no air support because we have to stop the second wave. Or at least impede it some. All of my military people, half being squad members and half being a portion of my twenty-agent assault team -- will become the grass. They will meld into the trees. And when these...peopleinvademyproperty, they won't know what hit them.

By four a.m., Caroline, with her sniper rifles, was rocking the tower, with Danny by her side, with his twin Beretta 93Rs with the thirty-five round clips. Two very different kinds of firepower.
Five cars were out on the road, with two or three agents apiece. They each had a route to drive and knew how to get home quickly from wherever they were when the 'all hands on deck' call went out. And the ground troops were in the process of blending with the environment. Everyone knew his or her job and would be on their marks when the word was given.
That's when Herb, who was riding the Closet, notified us that their helicopter had just taken off. "According to the tracker, it's heading south and west. Coming our way." Showtime.
The kids were already taken care of. We kept them up late last night and really tuckered them out. Then everyone took their sleeping bags and duvets and quilts and pillows and camped out in the new, but very incomplete, safe room. What it lacked in amenities, it made up for in space and security, with it's newly installed vault door.. Holly was in charge along with Bertha and Mac. Aggie and Becca were with us and, of course, all five kids. We made a game of it. A camp-out.
When they put the big vault door in, they made sure the electricity was wired in and live. Bertha equipped the little kitchenette to have enough food for a day or two. The electric stove was small, but fully functional. Lizzie was around, but she wouldn't be inside the safe room. She'd be right outside. With her custom pistol on her hip, and her twelve-gauge slung over her shoulder, she was ready to bring down the house if she had to.
Big Dom was right in the middle of where we expected the action to be. He was the head of the ones we call the 'silent squad.' They have silencers on their rifles to minimize sound. As these monkeys come out of the woodwork, the silent squad is there to put them down. And it's easy pickings from where they sit.
By the time the chopper is fifty miles away from us, even the reserves from our other clients' homes are here on the premises, hunkered down and ready to pop out and scare the crap out of these guys.
At about twenty-five miles out, Juicy came out of the blue from behind the Huey and put a tomahawk up its ass. She's got Ronnie acting as navigator/copilot and Archer in the back with both a side-mounted machine gun and his usual quivers of arrows, acting as security. There's just room for one more body in this chopper, and it's gonna be a big one.
You could hear Ronnie over the comm-link, as he told of Juicy pulling up from behind the big Huey and sweeping around so that she faced the big chopper's side, and she shot that tomahawk from close range and just destroyed the tail. The thing dropped a little at a time until the pilot just gently crashed it in the field in the middle of the old Brandywine Battlefield. It was indeed a crash, but also a solid landing considering the tail was hanging off it when it landed. Nobody died on impact, and the mercenaries fled the smoldering chopper.
Even in the dark, it was easy for Juicy to find Anthony, who had the tracking device on his person. So, she swooped down to where he was, and Anthony jumped in the back, and as quickly as she had landed, she had that thing back up in the air and headed home. Archer took out two of the mercs who were angrily trying to take down a guy they had thought was their mate.
My job in this whole mess is as the medical team. Sure, I'd have my Glock on my hip, but I was ready to wear the red cross as soon as someone came up lame or wounded. The Queen Bee is not in charge of prosecuting this war. That would be Duane Royce's job. He and Herman are the men in charge, and they were barking orders to prove it.
Cars driving by the property would stop ever so briefly, and men would get out and start to run toward the property, long guns drawn and ready to shoot on sight. Well, didn't they get a rude awakening when the silent squad opened up on them. Dom and the guys don't waste ammo, and those fools came at us and they were dropping like flies. Between Caroline up high and Dom and the silent squad down low, they never had much of a chance.
Back around the other side of the house, where the pool house was being built, they came at us from the south side, and the agents who had been hiding in the garden shed popped out and surprised the shit out of them. Two shot dead; five surrendered. That was Alec and his specially trained RFS agents just doing what comes naturally.
Danny and Caroline up in the tower had a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view of the battlefield and worked, back-to-back, to control the action on the ground all around the house. And it wasn't long before the first wave was under control. That's when Juicy arrived on the scene, flying in low with Archer and Anthony shooting up everything in black that they could see.
We had been in the battle a full five minutes when it started to really slow down. The second wave had not yet arrived. But we would be ready for it when it did. What's left of it. We had taken out almost half of that second wave when Juicy took down the Huey over southern Delaware County. They thought they would terrorize us with their air power. About our little bird, all I can do is quote Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and say that 'Though she be but little, she is fierce.' But not as fierce as her pilot.
In addition to the mercenaries attacking us, there was an army of drones flying in and around the property, taking potshots at our guys who shot back and took out a few. But Tripper was the real defense against drone attacks as he jammed the signals of all drones within five hundred feet of the property, and one by one brought them down to the ground, from inside his magic truck.
Additionally, a small band of our raiders, led by Avi, were sent in to take out the building where the drone operators were controlling the drones and sending additional waves to hit us. The four man squad sent an RPG round into the building and followed by capturing the two operators who were still alive. We could tell when that happened, because all drone activity, at least from their side, stopped.
That's when their pitiful second wave came in, barely getting onto my property before being cut down by my ground troops. And now Juicy was on the scene with a fully loaded set of miniguns ready to take on the line of mercs that were attempting to get into an offensive formation. She did a flyby and Archer let loose with a couple of arrows taking down two of the lead mercs. Anthony, on the mounted machine gun, gave a burst which brought down additional mercs.
Duane, from behind Bertha's outdoor grill setup, spoke into a bullhorn to see if he could bring the hostilities to a halt.
"To all RFS agents, halt and cease fire." And all got quiet at our end. Duane continued.
"To the hostile forces attacking, lay down your arms. This is your last warning. Lay them down, boys, and put your hands up."
Juicy in the Little Bird, with Ronnie, Archer and Anthony were hovering up high and ready to empty the miniguns into the crowd of mercs still standing. Fewer than a dozen were engaged in the hostilities now, with their mates either dead or wounded around them.
"Fuck you!" came out of the small crowd of mercs. Caroline pinpointed the voice, and he was down for the count before he could raise his machine gun.
Juicy swept the little chopper around and flew right toward the remaining mercenaries and let out a burst. A couple fell to the ground, and the rest dropped their weapons and put their hands up. There were seven altogether, along with five from the south side of the property who'd surrendered earlier in the fight. The rest of the mercs, and there were a lot of them, were either dead or wounded. They held out in anticipation of their Huey helicopter arriving, but it never did.
I grabbed my medical bag and was immediately escorted out to the field of battle where I would assess and triage our people. Unfortunately, several of them were wounded, and three I found dead. But they fared far worse. There must have been twenty-two dead mercenaries on and around my property. Almost as many of the mercs were wounded as well.
Then, the sirens could be heard. One of my jobs was to call 9-1-1 when the attack started, but by the time the first responders got to us, the battle was done and won. They never saw the Little Bird as Juicy took off for the hospital with two of our badly wounded as soon as the last of them surrendered to us.
In all, we captured eighteen mercs, unscathed and fifteen wounded, two critically. They also counted twenty-two dead when the final count was taken. However, one of the critically wounded would die on the way to the hospital and the other in the operating room. None of my squad received anymore than flesh wounds. They're not the best for nothing.
Ninja and Hoagie were part of the in-home defense, but none of the bad guys ever made it into the house. Herman's shotgun saw to that. Lizzie never got off a shot, but she was ready. When I arrived at the safe room, she seemed disappointed that she hadn't taken down any bad guys.
"Count your blessings, Liz. This op couldn't have gone down much better."
I stood in front of her at the door to the safe room with streaks and smears of blood on my fatigues. I dialed in the code to open the door to the safe room and went inside. The first remarks came from Celeste. "Mommy Hannah, you smell terrible. Have you been shooting your gun again?"
"Yes, Ceece. But the invasion is over and we have won."
A cheer rang out from the kids and adults alike.
"How bad?" Holly asked.
"It's never good, Hol, but they got the worst of it by far."
"And the squad?"
"All good. Haven't heard from Avi yet, but his crew took out the drone works which stopped the second wave of their air force cold."
