"Lewis, I need some advice."
Lewis Thurston covered the phone, and mouthed, "Ginger," to his wife, Jane. For a moment, he almost forgot he had the phone in his hand. Jane was twelve years younger than him, and to his mind at least, incredibly beautiful. She had a few freckles on her face, and lustrous, chestnut hair. She was fastening a black bra over her full breasts, but the lace was translucent, and Lewis could make out her silver dollar-sized areola through the fabric. Her smooth, slightly curved belly was bare, interrupted first by a garter belt, then thong panties. The garter belt held up black stockings. As he watched, she finished with the bra and leaned over to adjust the stockings, giving her a tantalizing view of her breasts.
She smiled up at him. She knew exactly what effect she was having. "Go ahead. Talk to her," she said. "After all, this isn't for you."
Well, it was and it wasn't. A mix of desire and worry went through Lewis. What if she liked demons better? Well, of course she was going to like sex with demons better. But what if it got, well, personal?
He shook his head. He and Jane were solid. Jane wouldn't be doing this at all without Lewis' encouragement, and he suspected her teasing was less cruelty than a way of checking that he was sure about what he'd agreed to.
"Lewis?" Ginger asked.
"Oh, hi Ginger. What's up?"
"It's Saffy."
No big surprise there. It was either that or council business. "What's up with Saffy?" Lewis asked. Why Ginger thought he was the right person to turn to for parenting advice he didn't know. He wasn't a parent. Jane and he had tried, but without success, and it was most likely the result of Lewis' low, but not quite zero, sperm count. The odds might be poor, but trying had been fun for all of the five years they'd been married.
"She came home the other day, all glowing. I knew something was up, but I couldn't get it out of her. The next day, she admitted it."
"Admitted..."
"That she was with a... a demon!"
Lewis knew at some level he was supposed to make a little shocked noise, and then, perhaps, to empathize somehow. Instead, curious, he asked, "Which one?"
"The male. I think his name is Malphas."
"Ah. Well, she's an adult now."
"But a demon!"
"I presume he was an adult, too," Lewis said dryly.
"Are you trying to be funny?" Ginger asked.
Jane held up two dresses up, one red, one black. Both were short, cocktail style dresses, but the black one showed a little more cleavage. Lewis pointed at the black one. If they were going to do this, they might as well be all in. As far as he was concerned, she didn't need to wear a dress at all.
"No, Ginger, not trying to be funny."
"What do I do about it?" Ginger asked.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"What can you do, honestly?" Lewis asked. "It's not like grounding her would work. She's a bit old for a spanking. Besides, she's done nothing wrong. You know how many women would love to hook up with an infernal? I saw a poll the other day that said over seventy percent of women would take advantage if they could. And the number was higher than that for single women, and for younger women. Saffy's just being, well, normal."
Jane put the dress on and looked at herself in the mirror. She adjusted her bra so it wouldn't show.
"What is the world coming to, Lewis?"
"It's changing fast, that's for sure. But honestly I'm more worried about AI."
"AI is not sleeping with my daughter, Lewis."
Or my wife, Lewis thought of saying. Although sleeping wasn't on the agenda, technically. Jane hiked up her skirt and pulled her panties down. She put them, all crumpled up, on the dresser. Apparently, she was going commando this evening. He remembered her going without panties while wearing a short skirt on one of their early dates, and how delighted he'd been when she very intentionally flashed him.
"Alright, Ginger, I do have one bit of advice, then."
"What?"
"Be proud of her."
"Proud?"
"Yes. You once told me that when Saffy did something you wish you could have done, you could either be jealous or proud, and that you always wanted to choose pride."
"I don't know that I like what you're implying, Lewis."
"I'm your friend, Ginger. I've never told you what you wanted to hear. The question is, am I telling you the truth? Think on it and call me back later if you like. Jane needs me now."
"I - well, alright." Ginger hung up, and Lewis turned to his wife.
"You sure about this, Lew?" Jane asked. She had put on her heels, which meant she was ready.
Lewis nodded. "We've talked it over. This is a way of getting what we both want."
"Okay. If you're sure."
Lewis moved to kiss her.
"You'll mess my lipstick!" Jane cried. "They could be here any minute!"
But he kissed her anyway, and she kissed back, hungrily. It was exactly what he needed. That, and her words when they broke their liplock. "I love you, Lew."
"I love you too, Jane. You better fix that lipstick."
"Alright. But no more kissing. Not until after."
Lewis nodded.
He heard a knock at the front door. Jane hurriedly applied her lipstick while Lewis went to get the door. He wondered if he should have told Ginger about Jane. Ginger would have been shocked, of course, but maybe it would have helped. Or not. Ginger didn't need to know everything, although he doubted it would stay a secret forever. Not if all went well.
He opened the door. Two red demons stood there, both very tall. The man was taller, although the woman almost made up for it with five-inch heels. He was a darker shade of red than she was, and he dressed casually, in tight pants and a T-shirt that hugged his muscles. She wore a cocktail dress not unlike Jane's, the black fabric contrasting with her candy-apple skin.
"She'll be out shortly," Lewis said. "Come in."
They entered, and Lewis closed the door behind them. The neighbors were not close, and most likely no one would notice their infernal visitors. But you never knew. It was a risk he'd decided was worth taking. As far as he was concerned, having demon friends was nothing to be ashamed about.
"I'm Malphas," said the man, putting out his hand.
"Lewis." He put out his hand, realizing the man could crush it if he wanted to. "Jane's husband," he added, realizing it was probably obvious. Maybe he needed to stake a claim.
Malphas shook his hand without noticeably squeezing.
"Lilitu," said the woman. "We've met." She reached out and stroked his face, instead of reaching for his hand.
Lewis simply froze. He had given Jane a hall pass, but she hadn't given him one. "Hi!" he said, feeling he had to say something. "Nice to meet you!"
"We're honored by what you've asked us to do," Lilitu said. "I think you should be rewarded sometime." She leaned in. She towered over him, which felt very strange. Her lips were close, and her breath smelled of nutmeg and reminded him somehow of Christmas. Desire surged through him, and his cock, which had been almost hard ever since Jane had started getting dressed, went fully erect.
He heard the click-clack of Jane's shoes, and he pulled away. He would talk to Jane later about whether Jane would mind if he connected with the beautiful female demon. He didn't question whether he wanted to. Of course he wanted to. But he believed in doing things the right way.
"Hello," Jane said. "Let's do this." She walked up to Malphas, and pushed her body against his, looking tiny in his arms as he kissed her.
Then she kissed Lilitu.
Lewis watched.

"Alice taught me a new word the other day," Brenda told Devoted and Wanda Gonzales. "Metamour. You two are my metamours."
Wanda nodded. They were seated on chairs around a table at the Church of the Infernal Angels. She'd come over to talk to Devoted, and it had seemed perfectly reasonable for the two of them to chat in the sanctuary. Now that there were three, somehow the room, which seated a hundred and fifty according to the sticker from the fire department, seemed way too huge for the conversation.
"It means..." Brenda continued.
Wanda and Devoted exchanged a glance. They knew what it meant. But they let her explain.
"I think of us as fellow worshippers, really," Devoted said. "Eager to serve in whatever way we can. Of course, when we get to serve by letting them use our bodies for their pleasure, it's particularly ecstatic. It's a sisterhood, really."
Wanda didn't mind if the demon that fucked her wanted to fuck Brenda Carville, but she wasn't sure she wanted to think of the woman as any kind of amour, meta or otherwise, and certainly not as a sister. Devoted, sure. And if Devoted thought of Brenda as a sister, while the sister of my sister... no, Wanda didn't want to go that far, either.
"So, Mrs. Carville," Wanda said, "What did you come to talk about?"
"Surely it's Brenda," Devoted said, looking at the other woman for affirmation.
"Brenda. Sure." Brenda said. "Well, I didn't know that you'd be here, Wanda. But I just want to know how we can get more time with Malphas and Lilitu."
Devoted smiled. "Ah, right, you've been with them both."
Brenda smirked. "Yes. Have you?"
"Yes."
"And you?" she asked Wanda.
Wanda shrugged. "Not yet." Let the woman smirk. She'd been getting more of Malphas than she had of either of them, she was pretty sure. She knew she had to share. Honestly, Malphas would leave her unable to walk if he fucked her every day.
"And you are happy with either?" Devoted asked.
"Sure," Brenda said.
"What if I told you there was a third demon in the area?"
Brenda hesitated. Wanda leaned back and thought about it, even though the question wasn't hers to answer. One was enough for her. But if she stopped seeing quite so much of Malphas, would she try another? The thought felt disloyal. Not unless he told me they wanted that.
"Um, I guess, sure," Brenda said. "I mean, if he... or she... can fuck like the others. Give them my number."
Devoted grinned. "Then what you are saying, really, is that you're just a slut for infernal cock, just like me."
Wanda enjoyed watching Brenda fidget. "Okay," Brenda said at last. "Yes. I guess I am. They really are amazing, aren't they? So who is the third demon?"
"They don't exist," Devoted said.
Brenda glared.
"Yet. But there could be. A third. A fourth. More."
"An infernal in every garage," Wanda murmured.
Devoted chuckled. "Did I sound like I was running for office? I admit I was thinking of something political. If we make Shadow Creek a welcoming place for them, they will come."
"So what you're saying is that we need plenty of infernal sluts," Brenda said, "happy to take any demon, in any hole, eager and begging for their cum? Well, you can count on me. How about you, Wanda?"
Wanda gulped. "I'd have to ask Malphas if... that's what he wants from me."
"You think he might be possessive?" Brenda asked. "Well, anyway. There's me. There's Alice. I bet her friend Saffy, too. It won't be hard, once people get a taste... and I'm willing to make a sacrifice in the long run, to attract more demons in the short run. Where are they, anyway? I checked their house."
What, Brenda knew where they lived? Even Wanda didn't know that. She hadn't been jealous of Brenda fucking them, but this definitely caused a surge of envy.
"Actually," Devoted said, "While that's all nice and all, and of course I too am willing to serve our infernal masters with any part of my body they delight in, I didn't mean that. As you say, it's not hard to find women eager to serve infernals sexually. A recent poll showed that over seventy percent of women would jump at the chance if offered. And let's not forget the men. But what I'm talking about is the town going on record embracing the future, and officially designating Shadow Creek a welcoming city for infernals."
Wanda smirked. Not too long ago, Brenda was leading the charge to make Shadow Creek as unwelcoming as she could. She'd been trying to stop her daughter from even reading about them, and now she was proclaiming Alice to be an infernal slut like her mother, as if she was proud of it.
"A city council resolution," Brenda said.
"Exactly. We think we have two votes. We need a third. We understand that you have some influence on the council."
"Who are your two votes?" Brenda asked.
"This is confidential," Devoted said.
"I won't tell. But I need to know who I'm trying to convince, and who I needn't bother with."
"Lewis Thurston, and Arthur Fromm."
"I can't sway Ginger Harwell," Brenda said. "But my husband? And Mayor Rhoden? Well, I might be able to do a little convincing."
Devoted smiled. "I'm sure Malphas would show his gratitude. Not to mention any new masters we attract."
"Where are they?" Brenda asked. "I thought if they weren't at home, they'd be here."
"I think they are both off on a date," Devoted said. "I presume they are giving someone, or maybe more than one someone, the time of their life. It's a shame there are just two of them to go around, but it's good that there are more of us who serve than there are infernals to be served. It helps enforce the proper hierarchy. Their rareness helps us remember who is more important."
Brenda's body tensed, but she nodded, stiffly.
Good luck convincing Brenda Carville that someone else is more important, thought Wanda. The woman spends her whole life using people.Wanda smirked. And now she's being used.
"How does your husband feel about your being an infernal slut?" Devoted asked.
"What he doesn't know, doesn't hurt him," Brenda said.
"I guess that probably means you aren't ready to go demon-only, yet."
Brenda frowned. "Look, do you want me to swing a vote or two your way, or not?"
"Of course I do," Devoted said. "What's the connection?"
Brenda shrugged. "Well, men can be persuaded. Just like your comment about rareness. The demand for women's affections exceeds the supply. It's simple economics, really."
"I see," Devoted said.
"I'm definitely ready to go demon-only," Wanda blurted.
Devoted grinned. "We have a tattoo artist in Pittsfield I can recommend. She's in the know... in fact, she has a demon tattoo herself. If there's enough demand, maybe she'll move to Shadow Creek, too."
Wanda nodded. Attract more demons, you'd attract more of the men and women who loved them. Which in turn would attract more demons. If Devoted got her way, Shadow Creek was about to be transformed.
"I'll go to work on the mayor," Brenda said.
"Great!" responded Devoted.
Brenda walked out like a woman on a mission.
"So," Devoted said, "what were we saying?"
"I think we were talking about a possible threesome," Wanda replied.
Devoted grinned. "Yes. I'm pretty sure Malphas would be into that." She paused. "You know, demon-only is really just about cocks. If you wanted to, um, practice for a threesome..."
Wanda hesitated. She wasn't that into girls. But Devoted was fun, and curvy, and she was curious. And unlike Brenda, Devoted did feel like something more than a person who happened to love the same man; something like family. She was happy to be in a polycule with Devoted. "Sure," she said. "Let's practice."
"Upstairs?"
"Sure. We might as well be comfy."

"Do you have an appointment?" asked Tammy whats-her-name, Mayor Peter Rhoden's assistant.
"No," said Brenda. "Is he in?"
"Well," Tammy said. "That depends. I'll be happy to ask him if he's available if you'll state your business."
"Don't bother," Brenda said. "I'll just let myself in." She breezed past the protesting Tammy and opened the door to the inner office. After all, if he was doing something truly private, he'd lock it, right?
Peter looked up from his desk and quickly clicked his mouse several times. Brenda moved swiftly, without wanting to break out into a run, to his side.
"Damsels and Demons, Peter? Is that a game?"
Peter looked up and spoke quickly as he closed that window too. "A constituent asked me to check it out. They were concerned."
"Tell me about it."
"Uh, it's seems to be a game where you play a demon, and collect what the game calls damsels to form a, er, community of sorts."
"A harem."
"Yes, I suppose you could call it that."
Brenda perched on the corner of the desk. "I wasn't aware that a small-town mayor controlled what computer games are released."
"Well, no," Peter admitted. "But people like to feel like they are being heard. What can I do for you, Brenda?" He looked over her body, clearly hoping that whatever she wanted required some inducement. She had worn a tight fitting dress whose sweet heart neckline exposed some cleavage, and was shorter than her usual outfit, coming just below mid-thigh. It showed off her legs nicely, she thought, and she liked the shade of nude pantihose she was wearing. Devoted had told her that demons preferred stockings to pantihose, so she might have to try that sometime, although there was a challenge with stockings because you didn't want the tops to show, and apparently demons also liked short skirts.
Demons weren't that complicated, she supposed. They liked the things most people with penises liked. Probably including women showing the tops of their stockings, but they didn't have to worry about the ladies in the Auxiliary gossiping.
Peter was looking at her legs, so pantihose were good enough for him.
"I've heard some talk in town about people concerned about the demons."
Peter nodded. "I'm doing what I can, Brenda, which isn't much. If they violate the law, I'll do something about it, but I can't go after them for simply existing."
Brenda shook her head. "No, Peter. I've changed my mind. If you can't beat them, join them. I think the presence of demons is actually an opportunity for Shadow Creek, and I'd like to see us embrace that. Some kind of official statement of welcome, maybe."
"Good god, Brenda! I've got people like Mrs. Claridge asking me to drive them out of town. Ginger Harwell is all concerned about her daughter. Father O'Boyle's flock is planning to picket the CIA, the way they did that doctor who used to tell girls in trouble where to go. I've got a fine line to walk here. I can't do anything to make these people happy, but I can't be seen as pro-demon, either."
"You owe me a favor, Peter," Brenda said.
"Not that big a favor."
"I'll help you with the next election," Brenda said.
Peter shrugged. "You can pull the strings as well as anyone, but I still need votes."
"The election isn't for another year and a half, Peter. Things will change. Trust me." She re-crossed her legs.
Peter shook his head.
Brenda licked her lips.
"But Brenda," Peter said.
Brenda bent forward to show him a little more cleavage. She wasn't interested in Peter, not anymore. But if Malphas would reward her with just one extra pounding, she would do whatever it took.
"I can't," Peter said.
"That's a shame, Peter. I guess you and I won't be seeing each other anymore, then. I'm sure I can find someone who is a little less prejudiced against our red friends."
Peter stared at her. Actually at her face, this time. "Red friends? I thought you were more of a 'better dead than red' person."
"It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind," Brenda said.
"You had sex with one of them, didn't you?" Peter asked.
"Maybe. Does that turn you on, Peter?"
"Of course not!"
Brenda wondered if he was maybe a bit too quick to protest. "Well, if you can't do this one little thing for me, just a statement really, I guess I'll be going." She stood up.
"I can't have my name on something like that, Brenda. I just can't."
"Of course you can. I'm not asking you to propose it. I'm just asking you to support it if someone else does."
Peter's face softened some. "Well..."
"You can say some wishy-washy thing about how opposing it might set the wrong tone, whatever. It's not that you want to welcome them, it's that you don't want to be noticeably not welcoming them. After all, you don't want a bunch of them to come protesting. Much better to have all the Catholic ladies holding picket signs than demons picketing the Catholics. That's just a sample, but you can make up a mealy-mouthed reason. And if it gets passed with you opposing... and you know I'll have my ways, then just think about that for a moment."
