Wednesday
I heard the patter of little feet running across the floor of the bedroom, then I heard Lacey say, "Shh. Daddy's asleep. So is Mommy Miriam."
"Okay," Duncan whispered. Kind of whispered, at any rate, which made me smile.
When I opened my right eye, I saw Miriam looking at me, a big smile on her face. I heard the footsteps stop at the bottom of the bed, then I heard noises from the twins climbing onto the bench. I winked at Miriam, so she winked back.
I felt movement on the bed, then someone climbed onto the bed from Lacey's side. From the light scent, it was Lacey, which meant that Cathy was probably at the foot of the bed. Duncan and Sam were trying to be very careful as they crawled along the length of the, then Sam's face appeared in front of mine.
"Dada sleeping?" She turned. "Mama Miryam sleeping?"
I felt little hands on my back as Duncan leaned on my side.
"Good morning, Sam," I said softly, so my daughter smiled at me.
"Dada wake!" Sam started to turn when I saw Mir's hand on Sam's side.
"Boo!" Mir said softly, smiling. Sam started to laugh, then I felt Duncan coming over my side. He landed beside his sister, so I tickled him, causing more laughter.
"Lacey, love?"
She rested her hand on the side of my neck. Her lips brushed my cheek, as she replied, "Yes, my cowboy?"
"You did help Duncan get over me, right?"
She giggled. "Yes, why?"
I sighed. "Good, I was afraid that he had learned to jump over me all on his own!"
"Well, not yet, at any rate."
I felt Sam's hand on my neck. She rubbed it back and forth once, then looked at me. "Dada shave?"
Lacey's hand rubbed my neck, too. "No, Sam, Daddy didn't shave last night. In fact," she kissed me again, "If Daddy'll get his shower and shave done, I think that we can wrangle all the kids downstairs for breakfast."
"Breakfast!" crowed Duncan, smiling at Lacey.
I laughed softly, then turned my face to hers. "Well, I guess that's decided, then!" I realized something. "Wait! The babies! Did I sleep right through them?"
"No," Cathy laughed, as she rubbed her hands on my shins. "All three of them slept through the night!"
I looked at Mir, who was nodding. "It's true. I scooted in there after waking up." She smiled. "I was afraid that something horrible had happened, but all three were peacefully sleeping." She sighed. "That was such a relief!"
Cathy was grinning. "I know -- I was terrified, too! Somehow, we didn't wake any of them. They're still sleeping, too!"
"You woke me up when you both jumped out of bed!" Lacey said seriously. "I didn't know what was going on!"
"I'm sorry, Lacey," Mir said, reaching past me.
"Breakfast?" asked Sam.
"Okay, Sam," Lacey assured her. "We'll grab the sleepers..."
At that moment, all of our phones let us know that the baby girls were awake. I looked up, then shrugged my shoulders. "Well, my shower can wait."
I started to follow my ladies off the bed, but Lacey put a hand on my chest. "No, go shave and shower."
"Yeah," added Mir, lowering her phone. "Willi says she'll meet us in the crib room, so go take your shower."
Cathy crawled up and gave me a kiss before moving off the bed, heading towards the crib room. Mir bent over, gave me a kiss, then followed Cathy. Lacey put her arms around me, then gave me a slow, deep kiss, to giggles from Duncan and Sam. Lacey giggled, too, when she broke our kiss.
"Let's go help with the babies! Daddy can take his shower, then meet us in the kitchen!" Lacey laughed as she crawled off the bed. "C'mon!" She hurried to the foot of the bed and held out her arms.
Duncan crawled to her, but Sam paused, patting my leg. "Love you, Dada!" she smiled, then headed for Lacey.
I felt this warm glow inside. "Love you, too, Sam!"
"Love it when she does that, huh?" I nodded, as I looked to see that Lacey was giving me that warm, loving smile, which made that warm glow even better.
Lacey helped Duncan, then Sam to the floor. She looked down at them, smiling. "Let's help with the babies, then get breakfast. Is that okay?" I saw them nod as they all walked towards the far door.
Sliding off the bed, I realized that I was the only one of us who didn't have any clothes on. I'd have to ask when that happened, but later. I shaved, having to tilt my head a bit more than usual, since I was already three months into growing out the Santa beard.
After washing my hair and cleaning off in the shower, I was out, dried off, and stepped into the bedroom to see the Willi was holding Jean, Cathy was holding Olivia, and Haley was suckling on Mir. "Where's Lacey?"
Cathy turned and smiled. "She took the big twins downstairs to start breakfast. She said that Karla and Patty will be here in about an hour, and Lance will be here in twenty minutes."
Mir smiled as Haley released. "Now to burp you, little lady, then we'll follow Daddy downstairs," she put Haley on her shoulder and gently patted her back.
"Why don't we all..." I started to say when Willi cut in.
"Lacey said that you were to go on down as soon as you were done with your shower." She turned so that Jean could see me. She reached out a hand, so I walked over, giving her a quick kiss, getting a smile from her.
"Okay, then, I'll see y'all downstairs." As I headed towards the door, I saw the three dogs sitting by the wall, looking at their babies, although Teddy watched me a little. I paused long enough to give each of them a little attention.
In the kitchen, I found LB and Sherlock sitting by their food mats. They looked at me, giving me the big, sad, puppy eyes. "I gather they haven't eaten yet?"
"Puppies hungry!" announced Sam from her chair. Duncan was busy eating his cereal. Lacey turned to smile at me, giving me a nod.
"Okay, Sam. You eat while I feed them, sweetie."
"Okay, Dada!" She shifted back to her bowl of cereal and began to eat, talking with Duncan.
I fed the dogs, looking at LB. She had a few grey hairs on her muzzle, but she was as active as ever. I smiled as her tail wagged excitedly, so I just stood there watching. Right after LB and Sherlock finished, I heard the crew come down the stairs, the dogs yipping with excitement.
"Okay, you two," I said to LB and Sherlock as they headed for the dog door. I got their bowls put up, then got the other three their food. As Cathy, Mir, and Willi came into the kitchen, the dogs came over to their dish mats.
"Sit," I said, and they all obeyed. "Stay!" I placed bowl down, then said. "Okay, eat!" I stayed where I was as they gobbled down their food, got drinks, and went out the dog door. I heard Sherlock and Princess barking, but they were happy barks.
I shook my head, then went to the counter, grabbing a bowl of cereal. Sitting down next to Sam, I grinned at her, and she smiled back. "How's your cereal, Sam?" She nodded her head and kept eating. "Once you're clean, I need you to check to see if I've shaved properly. Okay?"
Sam giggled. "Okay, Dada!"
I watched the others as I ate, until Lacey asked, "You're awfully quiet, cowboy."
"I am?"
The other nodded, with Mir saying, "Usually you keep us entertained at breakfast."
"Oh?" I saw four pairs of eyes on me as I thought about what Mir had said. "I think that I was thrown off by last night."
I watched as Mir started to blush, then she smiled. "You deserved to be thrown off, mister!" That got laughter, then Mir continued. "Seriously, how did you get thrown off?"
"I know," said Lacey, so I turned to her and gestured for her to continue. "He's used to taking a shower and shaving at night. But, he had to wait until this morning."
"I'll admit that it was lonely in that shower, by myself."
Lacey gave me her wicked smile. "Well, tonight, I'll make sure that our shower is crowded, then."
I just looked at her with eyes, making her giggle as she wiped Duncan's face.
"All three of us. Maybe Karla."
"How about me?" asked Willi. "I've been more than patient, Mir," she said, facing her sister.
Lacey was calm as she asked, "Are you sure you want to start this way? In the shower, with four other women?"
"Four?"
"Yes," nodded Lacey. "Me, Cathy, Mir, Karla. You'd be the fifth woman in that shower."
I winked at Cathy. "There may not be any room in the shower for me, though. Still... five sexy, wet women?" I smiled. "It'll be worth it to try." That got me some giggles and laughter, except from Willi. "What's the matter, Willi?"
She looked directly at me as she cuddled Olivia. "Sexy? You think I'm sexy?" I simply smiled and nodded, which got me a huge smile, in return.
Before anything else was said, LB and Sherlock sat up and looked towards the front door. "I think that's Lance," Lacey said. "Wyatt, will you take care of the twins while I get the door?"
"Of course," I stood as she did, getting a quick but sexy kiss from her before she left the kitchen, trailed by LB, Sherlock, and Teddy. That little dog was curious about everything, and he loved to look out the front window.
I heard Lacey greet Lance, then I heard when he greeted the dogs. I checked Sam and Duncan, who were excited. They were presentable, so I lowered them from their chairs, then said, "Go say hello to Uncle Lance!" They scurried off, out of the kitchen while I started picking up the breakfast dishes.
"We'll take the babies into the great room, if you'll give all of us a kiss," teased Cathy.
I smiled. "Of course! That's wonderful!" I set the bowls I had gathered back onto the table before going around the table, giving each girl, big and small, a kiss. "Go say hi to Lance, try to keep Duncan and Sam busy."
"And what are you going to be doing?" Cathy asked, smiling as she took Jean into her arms.
"Well, since it's my day for supper, I thought I'd get a stew started." I walked over to the sink with the bowls and spoons. "I had thought about chili, but since they're going to be filming over the next few days..."
Willi laughed as she put Olivia on her hip, getting a happy look form my youngest daughter. "Oh! Farts and stinky breath wouldn't be fun!"
"Nope," I agreed as I began to load the breakfast stuff into the dishwasher. Once that was done, I started pulling stuff to get started. After thinking about it for a moment, I pulled the large crock pot out of the pantry, then set it in place near the stove.
As I was prepping everything, Lance wandered into the kitchen, talking with Lacey about the day's plans. "Hey, Wyatt!"
"Lance! How's it going?"
"Pretty good, pretty good." He grinned at me as he looked at my neck. "Get marked up?"
I snorted. "Lacey and the redhead started it, then Cathy finished them." I grinned, then continued on with what I was doing.
"Beef stew?" Lance leaned on the counter after placing a six pack of beer in the refrigerator.
"No, bison."
"Bison? I don't think I've had much bison."
Lacey laughed at him. "Yes, you have. Here."
"Really?"
Lacey told him, "Yes, on Labor Day. Those burgers you grilled? Ground bison."
He looked at Lacey, then over at me, so I nodded in agreement. He grinned. "I thought that they tasted better than beef!" He laughed. "I thought it was just my grilling!" Lacey snickered and I just shook my head, grinning.
By the time I got the stew started, I heard excited noises coming from the great room, then Sam scooted into the kitchen. "Mama! Dada! Unka Lance! Car here!"
I washed my hands quickly as Sam came over to me, her arms raised. "Well, then let's go see who it is!" I lifted her up as Lacey put her hand on my back, while Lance led us into the great room as Mir and Cathy opened the door.
Karla came in, giving them hugs, as she was followed by a very tall brunette. Karla worked through the group, including giving Duncan a big hug, she walked over to us, a big smile on her face. "Wyatt, Lacey, Lance, and of course, Samantha, this is my daughter Patricia." And then she introduced us to her.
She shook hands with all of us as she laughingly said, "Just call me Patty." Her smile was bright, her eyes were green, with long brunette hair, pulled back into a ponytail.
She looked at Sam, and gave her a big smile. "You're a real cutie. How old are you?"
Sam looked at me, then gave Patty a smile when I nodded, holding up four fingers.
Patty looked from Sam to me, then to Lacey. "She looks like you, Lacey, except for her mostly blonde hair." Sam was getting antsy, so I lowered her to the floor. She scooted off to join her brother, who was putting down the tracks for their train.
"My hair was always brown," said Lacey, "but Wyatt says his hair was blonde when he was little, but it went reddish-brown as he got older."
I nodded. "Both of my sisters share the old family photos, which shows me as blonde, and they remember me being a brunette by third grade." I flipped my ponytail over my shoulder. "Of course, it's all grey, now."
"Well, not *all* of your hair is grey!" Lacey grinned.
As I looked at her, I heard a sharp intake of breath from Patty. "Is something wrong?" I asked.
"No, nothing." She turned to her mother. "Should I go get our bags?"
Karla nodded as Lance said, "I'll go with you and help!"
After they had gone outside, Karla took my arm and pulled me close for a kiss. After we broke it, Karla looked at Lacey. "I see you took my suggestion."
Lacey nodded. "The one on the left is mine, the lower right is Mir, and the upper left is Cathy."
"Last night?"
Lacey nodded, giving me her wicked smile. "He loved every minute of it, too!"
Karla laughed. "He's blushing a bit."
"Is he?" Lacey moved so that she could see my face. "He is!" she giggled, then leaned into me, giving me a quick hug. "So, we'll put you and Patty down here, in this bedroom," walked down the short hallway. "It shares a big bath with this one," she pointed at the door. "There are two single beds here, and this room has a king in it."
Karla followed Lacey into the room. "This is nice! I love the decorating!"
"That's all Lacey," I said.
She nodded. "Yes, I did the decorating, but Wyatt did the design of the whole house!"
Karla looked at me, so I nodded. "Yes. I took the basic set of the original house, then worked on it. I had it expanded horizontally and vertically. There was a basement and a single floor above it. Now, the basement is larger, the main floor is larger, too. Above the second floor is Lacey's studio."
"Did you design this with a harem in mind?" Karla dropped onto the bed, then looked at both of us, smiling.
Lacey laughed as I shook my head. "No. I knew that we would need lots of guest rooms, though. With our location, it's easier if visitors stay overnight."
Lacey stepped in front of me, leaning back as I wrapped my arms around her. Karla looked at us, one eyebrow arched up.
"So, how did your harem start?" Karla smiled, then licked her lips hungrily.
"Well, March of last year, we took a trip without the twins to celebrate our birthdays. He gave me a wonderful set of diamonds for my present."
"What did you give him?"
She purred as she arched her back against me. "I gave him the gift of getting Cathy pregnant!"
"What? Really?"
"Oh, yes. Cathy wanted it, so it seemed simple enough. Cathy was my birthday gift to Wyatt, as was Jean!"
I heard feet coming towards us. "I think the twins are here!" Lacey stepped away and turned to the door as Duncan came in, followed closely by Sam.
"Mama! Dada!" they cried in unison. "Patty has lots of bags!"
"Lots and lots," added Sam, smiling as she looked back through the door.
Karla chuckled. "There are five bags, between the two of us."
She grinned at Sam, who nodded. "Lots and lots!"
"I think her grasp of lots needs to be adjusted," Lacey said drily, then she smiled at Sam.
When Patty and Lance walked into the room with the bags, they set them on the bed. Lacey looked from Karla to Patty, then asked, "Can we use your bags for a counting lesson? It shouldn't take long."
Lance smiled at Duncan and Sam, then grinned at Patty. "Lacey's really good at doing this."
"Doing what?" Patty was a little confused.
"Just watch."
Lacey looked at Sam and Duncan, then led them over to the bed. "Let's count!" she smiled. "One," she pointed to a bag.
"One!" called Duncan and Sam, as they held up their index finger.
This continued through five, and then Lacey knelt down and gave them both big hugs. She was smiling as she stood, then looked at me.
"Okay, guys, Mommy needs to talk with Karla and Lance. Come with me, and we'll see what we can do with that train set!"
"Yay!" they cheered before running out of the room.
"Got your phone?" Lacey asked me, before giving me a deep, sexy kiss.
"Always, love." I smiled at the others, then followed the twins out the door.
In the great room, the older twins were already working on their railroad while Mir and Willi rocked the younger twins in their chairs. I noticed that both of the sisters were reading, Mir with a book and Willi with her tablet.
"Where's Cathy and Jean?"
Willi looked up with a smile. "Upstairs. Jean dropped a huge one, plus Cathy wanted to wash up."
"Hmm. I'd love to help her, but I have a train to run!"
Mir giggled as I joined the twins. "You're an interesting man, Wyatt."
I sat on the floor, then looked over at her. "Oh?"
She nodded with a smile. "Yes. You want to be with your Kitty, and yet, you're committed to being with those two."
I just shrugged, blew her a kiss, then started to pay attention to what Duncan had laid out.
"Wyatt?"
"Yes, Willi?"
"Can I get one of those?" Her voice was soft, almost meek.
"One of what?"
"Will you blow me a kiss? Please?"
"Dada?"
"Yes, Sam?"
"Blow Willi kiss! Please?"
I just looked from my daughter to Mir, who winked at me. "Willi?"
"Yes, Wyatt?"
I made sure that she was looking, then I blew her a kiss. She gave me a huge smile, then she blushed a bit.
"Tank you, Dada!"
"You're very welcome, my Sam!"
She smiled, before we spent a while working on the train tracks, then playing with the train. It was lots of fun, but we stopped when Lacey led Karla and Lance upstairs.
"We'll be working until lunch, my loves," said Lacey. She looked at Duncan and Sam, who were smiling at her. "And you two, take care of your Daddy!"
"Yes, Mama!" they responded, then Sam crawled over to me. She stood up and looked me in the eyes.
"You okay, Dada?"
"Why, yes I am, Sam. I'm better than okay, because you're right here!" I grabbed her, giving her a big hug as she giggled. She squirmed free and moved over to join Duncan.
Cathy came down the stairs, smiling as Jean baby-talked at her. I watched as she closed the lower gate, then came over to us as Patty came from the hall to the guest rooms.
"Wyatt?" Patty sat behind me, so I had to shift around to face her. "What's with that weird way to count with fingers?"
I was puzzled, then Cathy laughed, which made Jean laugh, too. "You mean thumb, index, and middle fingers for three?"
Patty nodded. "Yeah, that's a weird way to do it."
Willi giggled. "Not if you're using A.S.L."
"A.S.L.?"
"American Sign Language. One of my sisters is deaf, so I grew up using it."
"But why not this?" Patty held up her index, middle, and ring fingers, slightly spread.
"Because that's A.S.L. for the letter 'W'."
"Oh." Patty said. "I must sound so dumb!"
Duncan straightened up. "Patty not dumb! Patty not know!" He nodded his head firmly, then looked at me. When I smiled at him, he smiled back. I saw Lacey in that little smile as I reached over and patted his shoulder. He went back to his railroad.
Patty looked at him, then she got a huge smile on her face as I agreed with Duncan. "Nothing wrong with not knowing something, Patty. You learned something new, that's all."
