Magic Academy: Nymphomancy
Magic Academy: Nymphomancy Ch. 02
Magic Academy: Nymphomancy Ch. 02
Author's Note: Huge thanks to everyone for the love, comments, and feedback received on the first chapter! This has been one of the most light and fun things I've gotten to write in recent memory (My main job involves some non-fiction writing and I also write non-erotic fiction as a hobby), so I'm just very happy that a lot of people enjoy this idea and that I get to keep having a good time creating it!
If you're new here, I do suggest that you go and read Chapter 1 of this series (found on my profile: Magic Academy: Nymphomancy Ch. 01) as it does introduce a lot of setting and other details. But it's definitely not required and you should be able to enjoy it regardless!
As always, all characters are 18 or older and all feedback and comments are greatly appreciated!
Oh and one final thing, this chapter does involve a lot of squirting, so if you're not a fan of that, this may not be the one for you! (If it helps, it is explicitly stated to be magic and not pee lol)
--------------------------------------
It had been a week since my world had been turned upside down, and I was starting to feel like an animal.
Well. Let me clarify.
Azooanimal.
It was Friday again, and I was sitting in Manacometrics, a mixed-school core class that consisted of some of the dullest curriculum known to magekind. And Professor Hadid assuredly did not help matters by dragging the hour out in a monotone drone only broken by the sound of chalk shrilling away on the blackboard.
So it was no surprise that not a soul was able to pay attention. Everyone's eyes wandered and side conversations were aplenty. And today, as was the case yesterday, and the day before that, I was Exhibit A of those distractions.
Two rows ahead of me to the left: a cute Nature mage whose name I thought was Lily glanced at me over her shoulder. As I caught her looking, she whipped back around and leaned into her friend, both of them giggling into their hands.
The door at the front of the lecture hall opened as a classmate I wasn't familiar with came back from the bathroom. She was tall with smooth, bronze skin and slim features. She looked me over as she walked down my aisle, then slid into her seat a few rows in front of me. She passed a flurry of hushed whispers on to her friends. One of them made to turn around before she was jabbed in the ribs with an elbow and a small laugh.
That was pretty much my life in public summed up for the entirety of the past week.
In the dining hall - a similar story. Walking across campus - I'd catch numerous eyes locking on to me and then darting away. In the library - a Lightning mage I'd never spoken to in my life dropped her entire stack of books when I rounded a corner and came face to face with her. She'd stammered an apology, scooped them up, and zapped off in the other direction within seconds.
It was... not totally unexpected, but I don't know if it was the exact reaction I had predicted. And it was only partially what I had dared to fantasize about.
My fellow male life mages were also not living the experience they had hoped for. They were learning the hard way that fantasy and reality were two very different beasts.
"It's bullshit, Rin," Logan had complained over lunch just yesterday, violently stabbing a piece of chicken. "I smiled at Jasmine Chen on the way here and shestilllooked at me like I had four ears or something."
Eugene had had a similar experience. Emboldened, he'd actually worked up the nerve to approach a few girls. The results had been, in his words, "statistically consistent with my prior outcomes." Which was Eugene-speak for getting laughed off the lawn.
"Three attempts, three rejections," he'd reported gloomily, pushing his glasses up. "One of them asked me what power level I was, and when I said 33, she just said 'oh' and walked away mid-sentence."
The only real interesting thing those two had discovered in the past week was the magical block placed on all of us fifth years which prevented us from talking about Nymphomancy to any non-fifth years in the core school. It was apparently just simply impossible to do so - you'd just stand there, mouth agape like an idiot. This suddenly made a previously huge question mark make sense.Of courseit should've been impossible for us to have never learned about Nymphomancy through our first four years at Syldan - I don't care how secretive it was mandated to be, eventually it would've leaked through the grapevine and details would've spread amongst the younger grades. Eugene theorized that it was some sort of lurking PsychicTongueBindbuilt into the mental contracts we had imprinted upon enrollment at the school.
Some of the Life guys, including both Eugene and Logan, did report that a handful of girls had approached them with pointed questions about the specifics of Nymphomancy - but none of them were interested in anything beyond information extraction. And the wonder died down fast. Evidently, the female Life mages who had attended Barrett's lecture were talking. They must have shared enough to temper expectations, because it seemed like the whole grade now knew that this power was still years of training and leveling away from us Life mages.
Well, notallof us Life mages.
I was by far the highest leveled Life mage in the grade. 46, now. Close - so close - to reaching the fuzzy line when I could successfully eke out an underpowered cast. And levels were no secret, it was publicly available information listed in the Grand Hall right alongside the results of each major exam. It would explain why I was getting the type of attention I was getting, unlike my friends.
However, it did not explain why follow-through seemed impossible. Or why girls had approached the other Life guys for questions, but not me.
In the first couple of days, riding off the high of having had sex for the first time with Sadie, I'd tried to capitalize on the situation. Nothing aggressive, even; just holding eye contact, offering a smile here and there. Some girls would giggle harder and retreat into their friend groups like schools of fish evading a shark. Others, and this was the part that baffled me, would hold my gaze for a beat too long. I'd catch what I swore was a returned smile or even a slight lip bite. But then, like clockwork, they'd suddenly shrink away as well.
Itwasa bit strange, wasn't it?
But honestly? I hadn't dwelled on it too much. I had a very compelling distraction making me quite happy over the past week.
Sadie.
In the seven days since I had lost my virginity, I had had "study sessions" with Sadie eleven times. We had done it, I figured, in just about every position under the sun - and I had blasted my load in or on just about every part of her athletic, sculpted body.
Not in her ass though. She seemed particularly protective of that hole. Maybe one day. A mage can dream.
The first few days, I had been wrecked. Sadie, with her runner's stamina, was a sexually demanding force, leaving me totally drained and pleasantly sore in a way that made walking a manual thought process. I would be wholly satisfied for basically all of a full day. Sadie would be sending meSnailMailonly hours later, asking me if I was awake, and I'd be lying there puddled, staring at my ceiling, thinkingwoman, I can barely feel my legs, until the Lightning Snail tried to remind me that the sender had requested a reply with a static shock.
But surprisingly, something in me had started to change. My refractory period shrank, my libido, which had previously operated on a fairly standard schedule, went into overdrive. In the past few days, it had become a constant hum.
Case in point: just three hours ago, I'd gone two rounds with Sadie in her room before class. But now, sitting in Manacometrics, surrounded by attractive classmates in various states of Friday-casual dress, I was feeling very, veryready to go again. My eyes drifted from Lily, who kept tucking her hair behind her ear in a very distracting way, to Madison, a blonde with a voluptuous ass who was proudly showing it off to the world in tight leggings as she did an example problem on the board, and to Priya, the Earth mage sitting right in front of me, as she leaned forward, causing her red panties to peek out over the back of her jeans. My pants stirred. Trouble.
A chair scraped directly on my right, and I turned to see Rafael, a broad-shouldered Fire mage, sliding into the seat, far more than fashionably late to class.
"Hey." I said.
He acknowledged me with a nod.
Guys are so much simpler to understand, I thought. The constant bullying I endured in the past had been dramatically reduced; basically all of it from the girls was gone, and about half of it from the guys. The guys were in two camps: about half, like Rafael, seemed to have gained newfound respect for me and, to some extent, my fellow Life mages. The other half had turned their sneers of disgust and superiority into death glares of contempt. I could understand both reactions perfectly.
The girls though?
Nowthatwas a different story.
--------------------------------------
No nighttime study session today. Sadie had cheer practice followed by a party at the Penumbra. I'd wondered, over the past week, whether the changes in my personal life would ripple outward into my social one. Would I, and maybe the other Life mages, start getting invited to things? Would the invisible rope that kept us out of parties and gatherings and the general fun of being a teenage sorcerer finally loosen?
Perhaps. But it could not yet be determined on this particular weekend. Tonight's party was being hosted by the Obscurants, and the male Obscurants, led by Jasper and his goons, were still firmly in the death glare category. Maybe Sadie could've forced their hand, but I didn't ask her to try: the less of Jasper Johnson I saw, the better.
So instead, I'd spent my Friday evening where I spent most Friday evenings: at the tabletop gaming club, rolling dice and arguing about whether a level 8 Priest could reasonably survive a direct hit from a Void Golem's heavy attack. The answer was yes, by the way, if you'd specced into Legionnaire at level 7 like I told Eugene to, but nobody wants to listen to me.
The session wrapped up at around 8 PM, and I said my goodbyes. The trading card game club, playingArcane: The Convening, met in the same room, right afterwards, and almost all of the tabletop players were staying put, grabbing their deck boxes from their satchels. I was not among them; I played only occasionally, and only when someone lent me a deck - the hobby had an absolutely obscene price point to get to the level of competitiveness that the club was at.
The night was crisp as I stepped outside. It was pretty quiet, with most students, I assumed, preparing and pregaming for the Obscurant party. I started down the central walk toward Westwood Hall.
I was still very horny - and getting increasingly more so. I couldn't wait to get back to my dorm and take care of it while Eugene was still out. My scholarly roommate was a homebody, who preferred studying at the dorm over the library. This was unfortunate for me, as it had always forced me to jerk off quickly in the showers instead of being able to relax on the bed and thumb through a Playboy. Surprisingly, I realized that this would be the first time in a week that I had masturbated, surely the longest streak ever since I had first discovered it. And to think it was all thanks to Nyphomancy which I couldn't even use yet.
A light breeze on my balls caused my dick to twitch. Incredible. I had always figured that metaphor was an exaggeration. Something was genuinely changing in me, physically sure, but perhaps also magically? I couldn't help but to wonder if my skyrocketing libido was a sign of my Nymphomatic progress.
As I cut off the beaten path into a shortcut between buildings, I spotted someone on the crosspath to the right - a short, blonde girl bundled in a fluffy jacket and a scarf. They had emerged from one of the building's basement doors and stopped to pull on earmuffs. As I got closer, I could tell that it was Emma Marsh, a Water mage that I kind of knew. Well, not really, but enough. Enough to believe that she was genuinely a very kind person. She had never openly looked down on me or, to my knowledge, participated in the general derision of Life mages so widespread at this school. And I could vividly recall one instance which cemented this belief in my mind.
It had been over two years ago during a Hydroponic Healing practicum. I had been paired with Emma, and it was instantly apparent that she was not having a good time in that class. Not because she was dumb - I really didn't think she was - but her strengths definitely lay in offensive Water magic, not healing.
I had tried my very best to teach her. We had worked for hours in that stifling lab gear. But at one of the very last steps, she had left a liquid alloy on the arcane burner for far too long, turning it into a compound completely different than what we needed - and it ruined the tincture when combined. Since I needed a good grade in order to qualify for the honors section of the next course, Hydromatics, I'd had to stay after class and redo the whole thing from scratch while everyone else went to dinner.
Emma had left as well, promising that she'd be back. I had had no expectations that she actually would be, and, frankly, she really didn't need to because at that point we had both realized that it would be best if she just didn't touch anything else on our station. But she did come back. And she brought me a small takeaway container from the dining hall.
I still remember that it was fried rice and a chicken thigh. It's one of the only times I could recall a non-Life mage ever doing something nice for me.
I also knew that Emma had not been immune to the intrigue around me lately. I had caught her staring at me on the first day, in the library. And Emma was blusher. Unlike a lot of the other laughing and whispering girls, Emma's response to being caught staring was to turn pink before finding somewhere else to look. I distinctly remembered trying to catch her eye during those early optimistic days, and watching the blush bloom across her cheeks.
Enough waiting around.
The thought landed in my head with the weight of a decision already made. I'd been so passive for a whole week, and I was tired of it.
I picked up my pace. "Emma! Hey!"
She jumped, startled, and spun around fast, hands readied instinctively. Then she recognized me and relaxed, and a thin sheen of moisture that had crystallized between her fingers dissolved.
"Corin?" She pressed a hand to her chest. "Oh my God, you scared me!"
"Sorry, sorry," I said, raising my hands. "I just saw you walking and figured I'd say hi."
"Hi," she said, tucking a loose strand of sandy hair that was blowing in her face up into her beanie. She was smiling, but her posture had re-stiffened since relaxing, and her weight shifted back and forth slightly between her feet, as if she were ready to dart away. "So, um hi."
"Hi," I repeated, and then we were both just standing there, having twice-over exhausted the full conversational potential of the word.
"How's your Friday going?" I tried.
"Good! Good. Yeah, it's been... good." She nodded too many times. "You?"
"Pretty good. Just came from uh tabletop gaming club."
"Oh. Cool. That's... cool."
Holy shit why did I say that?I wanted to end it all right then and there. Thankfully, Emma tried to break the silence this time.
"So yeah... uh like I was saying, I didn't expect to see anyone else around the academic wings at this time!"
Oh no Emma, I thanked you too soon. You're unknowingly going to force me to talk more about this...
"Ahh yeah," I managed, "well you know, Friday night was the only time the club could get a regular room booked because, uh, no other clubs want, um, any rooms."
"Uh-huh, right... right."
This was just painful. Emma was normally warm and easy to talk to - at least she had been during our lab together. She'd chatted freely about her classes, her Water magic training, even her family back home in Canada. But right now, she was wound tighter than a spring. Not thatshewas to blame for my epic failure at making normal conversation.
"How are your classes going this year?" I tried, grasping for something familiar, "Still blowing up tinctures?"
She let out a laugh, a real one, but cut it short. "God, don't remind me. At least I'm totally done with anything related to arcane chem now. Idohave to take marine bio but thankfully it's not as bad and my lab partner is way more patient than she should be." A pause. "Not as patient as you were, but, you know."
"Hey, I had a vested interest. I cared way too much about that grade."
"Haha fair." But the warmth from that small laugh faded quickly, and her fingers went fidgeting with her jacket zipper. Her eyes kept drifting past my shoulder.
"You okay?" I asked. "You seem kind of..."
"I'm fine!" she said, too quickly. "Totally fine. Just cold. It's cold out, right? Super cold."
Cold...you're Canadian, I thought. No, this wasn't just awkwardness, she was nervous. Why?We'd had perfectly normal and borderline interesting conversations before. What was going on? I knew things had changed since, but it didn't make sense that it would make her act like we were playing hot potato with a live grenade.
I decided to just bite the bullet and go all in. This conversation was screeching to a tragic end either way.
"Emma, can I ask you something kind of direct?"
Her eyes finally met mine. A pale, enthralling grayish blue. Wide, cautious. "Uh, sure?"
"So I've been getting a lot of... stares lately. From girls. Which, okay, I get it, the whole Nymphomancy thing is out there now, there's gonna be curiosity. But nobody's actually talking to me. They just look and whisper and then run away. It's been a week of this and I honestly can't figure out what's going on." I paused, working through one of the hypotheses I'd been chewing on. "At first I was thinking maybe they know about the powers and they know who I am, but they think it's just... gross. Or creepy. Like maybe the idea of a Life mage having sex magic is off-putting? Or maybe they think I'm just ugly," I finished with a laugh.
Emma's expression shifted through many emotions in a split second: surprise, panic, discomfort, and something that looked a little like guilt. She bit her lower lip - Damn that was cute - and glanced down the path in both directions.
"It's not that," she said quietly.
"Then what is it?"
She shook her head. "Corin, I- you know, I can't say I'm too familiar..."
"Come on Emma. Clearly something's going on that everyone knows about except for me. You've been staring too, by the way."
Her cheeks flushed instantly. There it was."I have not!...Okay, fine. Maybe a little..."
"So please help me out here. I'm not asking you to, like, help me put a stop to it or anything. I'm just genuinely confused."
Emma looked at me for a long moment. In the end, she let out a breath that was half-sigh, half resignation.
"Okay. You didn't hear this from me."
"Heard what from you? I don't even know who you are."
A laugh and smile cracked her composure. Then it faded, and she said, "Okay. It's Brooke."
What?
"Brooke? BrookeCampbell?"
Emma nodded. "Brooke's orders. It was over last weekend. Most of the girls heard it during the winter ball. She spread that you were totally off-limits. No befriending, no flirting, no fuc- um... anything!"
I stared at her, head scrambling.
