Claiming Destiny

Destiny awoke the following morning still cradled in Leo's arms. She looked at his face. The same face that she had seen countless times before but had only last night come to realize how much she loved. And she did. She was absolutely certain. "I'm not certain yet. They've offered me an exclusive extended contract with them. I would love it, but just like last time it will always require me to travel and be away a lot. Although not always for six months. Some trips would be shorter than others."

I can and will find another job. Something with stable, regular working hours where I can be home every night."

Destiny studied Leo's face and saw nothing but sincerity in his eyes. She knew he was being honest with her, and it made her heart soar. Leo was willing to walk away from a job he loved just to ensure that she remained happy. She knew exactly what her answer was.

"You have no idea how much I appreciate that. That you'd be willing to sacrifice your dream job for me. But I don't need you to do that. If you leave, I'll miss you. I'll miss you more than anything.
