Day 2 -- Sunday
Jeff woke to the clatter of something in the kitchen below, and the soft murmur of his mom humming. It wasn't a song he recognized, but they often weren't. He honestly wasn't sure if half of what she hummed were even actual songs.
He groaned and shifted under the light sheet, rubbing at his eyes. The air in the loft was already warm, and he was hard -- again. Then again, he'd spent pretty much the entire night hard after what his big sister had sent him.
His phone was under his pillow. He slid it out and thumbed it on. Her video was still open. Turning down the volume as low as he could, while still being able to barely hear it, he watched it again. The way her breath stuttered when she got close. The way she said his name under her breath, almost sounding like it snuck out accidentally. Just remembering it made his morning erection twitch. If mom hadn't been moving around downstairs, he probably would've reached for himself again.
He locked the screen instead and tossed the phone toward the edge of the mattress. Below the railing, he could hear more of the kitchen, from silverware clinking, to the coffee maker sputtering, and running water. He rolled onto his side and stared at the opening to the stairs.
Stephanie hadn't replied to his last message. He'd sent one final text last night, daring her to not wear underwear today.
She'd left him on read. That little "seen" mark taunting him, letting him know she read it and was simply not answering him. He'd laid awake until he finally shut his phone off sometime after 1:00 a.m.
He was sure she'd seen it, and so he hoped that meant she'd gone to bed thinking about it.
He smiled to himself, then yawned and stretched, his muscles tight from the stiff mattress and not enough sleep. Below him, the floorboards creaked again. The smell of coffee crept upward with the sound of footsteps moving toward the sliding glass door.
He heard mom's soft voice, as if she were trying to be quiet, saying something about how beautiful the lake looked in the morning.
Jeff stayed still. From the loft, he had a view of the big windows lining the main wall, arching up to the vaulted ceiling of the room. The sunlight was glinting off the water with a backdrop of trees and houses across their cove of the lake. He couldn't see her from here, but he could picture her in her robe, mug in hand, looking out with that soft, content smile she always had in the mornings. The same one she used to give him when he was little and came down for pancakes before school.
The thought of that almost made him feel guilty, but he had no intention of going back to the way things had been. There was no way he could see looking at Stephanie as just his sister again.
He rolled onto his back, adjusting himself under the sheet, willing it his morning wood to go down. No way he could walk downstairs like this with mom down there. He exhaled slowly and grabbed his phone again, thumb hovering over the screen before unlocking it. Still no new messages, not that he really thought there was since he'd checked it a minute prior.
He considered sending another. Something casual, maybe even sweet. Then again, after last night, after watching her cum for him, having sent him a video for the first time, he didn't really know what more to say. It was the hottest thing he'd ever seen, and he didn't want to do anything stupid to mess it up, or make her regret it.
More floor creaks below. A second set of footsteps this time. They sounded lighter, which meant they couldn't be his dad's. That only left Stephanie.
His eyes darted toward the edge of the loft, listening. He knew her step too well. He could picture the look on her face as she walked into the kitchen, still showing signs of sleep. She was typically a morning person, from a lifetime of being up early to do her routines, while making sure she had time for any early gymnastics' workouts, or whatever she did at that time. But he also knew she wasn't used to staying up as late as last night with their texting. And she wasn't always the most pleasant when she didn't get enough sleep.
He could already hear her in his head, trying to care about whatever mom was saying about the lake or the trees or how fresh the air smelled. She'd do her best version of polite with soft smiles, a few nods, maybe a "yeah, it's really pretty" with no inflection. And mom would keep talking, completely oblivious.
Jeff pulled the sheet higher over his waist and listened harder, hoping for something, her voice, a laugh, even a sigh. Just something to confirm she was really down there. Then he heard mom's voice once more, in her typical chipper tone.
"Morning, sweetheart. Isn't the lake just beautiful to wake up to?" she asked
There was a pause, long enough that Jeff imagined his sister still half-asleep, probably blinking having just shuffled in wearing whatever she threw on, before answering.
"Yeah. It's... nice."
He smiled again. It was exactly the kind of lukewarm response he'd predicted. She sounded tired, worn down in that way she got when she didn't sleep enough and was trying not to show it. He rubbed a hand over his face and sighed before adjusting the sheet again, half-hard and uncomfortable, and tried to focus on her voice below.
Stephanie blinked slowly, still halfway to waking. She stood at the window, looking out at the view mom mentioned, in a fitted pink tank top and loose white sweatpants that hung a little low on her hips, having not bothered to tie the drawstring. Her hair looked like she'd brushed it with her fingers. It was soft, and a little tousled, falling around her face in casual waves. The tank hugged her curves, thin enough to clearly define the shape of her breasts. It was to early to be up considering the time she went to sleep, but it was far too late compared to her normal routine.
She wasn't lying. The lake view was nice if she'd had the energy to care about it. But her body felt sluggish, her eyes heavy. Too many texts. Too many videos. Too much of her brother left in her head when she was supposed to be sleeping. She hadn't even dared to touch herself again after the picture of him post-orgasm. If she had, she wouldn't have been able to stop.
Mom was already at the stove, and gave her a warm smile over her shoulder. "I was thinking pancakes. I know you don't usually eat that stuff, but it's vacation. You can break your diet for a few days."
Stephanie scratched at the side of her neck and mumbled, "I'm not really on a diet..."
Mom laughed softly, pouring batter onto a griddle. "You practically live on protein bars and string cheese. Your season's over, honey. You can relax for a bit."
Stephanie didn't respond. She shuffled to the far side of the kitchen and leaned against the counter, with her arms crossed under her chest. The warm smell of butter and batter filled the room, and her stomach growled in spite of itself.
Relax. She wasn't sure she remembered how to do that. Her whole life had been early mornings, gym mats, and check-ins from coaches who wanted to know if her weight had changed by a pound or two. Now that the season was done with no gym nearby, she didn't know what to do with the extra time in her day, or in her body. She still caught herself standing with perfect posture, still felt guilty for sleeping past five thirty, still ate like someone might ask her to run drills after breakfast.
And now she was here, in a lake house with mom, dad and... her brother, Jeff.
She didn't even want to think about last night. About the way she'd filmed herself, fingers shaking, whispering his name. Or the fact she hadn't responded to his last message because it had made her clench her thighs together under the blanket.
You shouldn't wear panties tomorrow, he'd written.
She hadn't answered, but with the way she was feeling when he texted her, made her smile at his attempt of telling her what to do.
"Go sit down, baby. I'll bring you a plate in a minute," mom said, before going back to humming to herself as she flipped the pancakes.
Stephanie pulled out a chair, easing into it carefully and curling one foot beneath her. As she leaned forward, the stretchy material of her tank top bunched under her chest, caught awkwardly beneath the breasts she was always trying to ignore. She shifted subtly, tugging the fabric free with a quick sweep of her hand across her stomach.
It was something she'd never gotten used to, shirts riding up, leotards never quite fitting the way she thought they should, that tightness across her chest during warmups while the other girls barely noticed their own. Even now, during the off-season with no coaches around, or teammates watching, she still sat a little hunched without meaning to. Like she could somehow shrink herself when she became too aware of them.
She was supposed to be relaxing, she told herself. She straightened a little and glanced toward the window. Sunlight was pouring across the lake.
She didn't know if Jeff was awake. Didn't know if he'd heard her come out of her room, or if he was already up there grinning to himself like an idiot. She didn't know if he'd meant half the things he'd said about her, or if he'd just been horny, now that her fleeting moment of confidence was gone with the night.
She reached for a napkin and folded it in half, then in half again, her fingers working on autopilot. Maybe it didn't matter. She was here; he was here. And if she'd learned anything from their backseat moment yesterday... it was that when they were in the same space, it never stayed innocent for long.
The sound of the spatula scraping across the skillet pulled her back. Mom was stacking pancakes onto a plate for her. She turned with a proud smile and set the plate down in front of Stephanie, along with some bacon.
"I made yours without butter, but I put a few extra strawberries on top."
Stephanie gave a faint smile. "Thanks."
Mom pulled out the chair beside her. "So... I figured we could explore today. There's the trail just past the boathouse, and I saw a little café in town yesterday when we drove in, that I don't remember being there the last time we came up here. Might be fun to check out."
Stephanie nodded, still working the folded napkin between her fingers. "Sure."
"You okay?" mom asked, more curious than concerned.
"Yeah. Just tired."
"Were you up late?"
"I guess." Stephanie's hand paused mid-fold. Her eyes flicked toward the plate, then back up.
"Well, I'm glad you're here. It's been a while since we all did something together. You, me, the boys... It feels good," mom said, choosing not to press. She took a sip of her coffee, then smiled over the rim of her mug.
Stephanie made a soft noise of agreement, even though part of her bristled at the word boys. Like her brother still fit in that category. Like he wasn't the one whose virginity she'd taken at the exact moment he'd taken hers. Like it wasn't his words, or picture, or video she'd bitten her lip to last night, her phone focused between her thighs, trying not to make a sound.
She picked up her fork and dragged it through the edge of a pancake, when she heard the sound of Jeff moving above. A soft thump from his feet hitting the floor.
She didn't look up, instead, she tucked a piece of strawberry into her mouth and glanced out the window.
The smell of food causing his stomach to rumble, Jeff finally got out of bed and quietly stepped to the loft's edge. From this angle, he could see Stephanie as she sat at the table below. The curve of her spine as she leaned forward in her chair, the way her tank top stretched across her back, soft and fitted, the line of her arm as she lifted a bite to her mouth.
He lingered for a second, just watching her. There was something about the way she sat eating, her bare foot hooked around one chair leg, that made it hard to look away. Even like this, half-asleep and simply eating breakfast, she had his full attention.
He clomped down the stairs barefoot, clearly with more energy than Stephanie had. The smell of pancakes and bacon was stronger now that he wasn't focused solely on Stephanie. His stomach tightened at the scent. He hadn't realized how hungry he was until that moment.
Mom turned as he reached the kitchen. "There's my sleepyhead," she said, already reaching for another plate. "Hungry?"
"Starved." He shrugged, eyes flicking toward Stephanie before settling on the stack of pancakes.
Stephanie didn't say anything. She just kept cutting a slow path through her food, going around the outer edge, like she wasn't really hungry. Her hair was still a little messy in the back, and Jeff noticed the way she kept shifting in her seat, subtly tugging at the hem of her shirt where it bunched up again.
His mind flashed back to the video, causing him to adjust his waistband before sitting down.
Mom slid a plate in front of him along with some butter and syrup. "Plain, just how you like them. You two are going to help us do a grocery run after breakfast, okay?" she said smiling.
Jeff nodded, mouth full, though his eyes were on Stephanie. "Yeah, sounds good."
Dad eventually emerged from his room with freshly combed hair and a fresh polo, already talking about the boat rental and how the dock looked solid. Breakfast wrapped quickly after that. Jeff cleared the plates while mom packed a small cooler, and Stephanie nibbled at the last piece of bacon.
The morning fell into a synchronized bustle with everyone moving around the house, brushing teeth, and filling water bottles. Stephanie pulled her hair into a loose ponytail as mom called out the grocery list from the kitchen.
They were heading into town first to get supplies, sign paperwork for the rental boat, pick up bait for fishing. It almost felt like a rush to get out on the water later.
Jeff leaned against the back of the couch, phone in hand, watching as dad rattled off some instructions about keys and what was needed while in town. Mom stood beside him at the counter, facing the stove, flipping through a stack of pamphlets about the lake.
Stephanie moved over to the kitchen bar opposite them. She bent over it, arms resting across the top like she was reading one of mom's discarded pieces of paper. Her posture looked suspiciously casual to Jeff, who was watching her now.
Then she shifted. With one smooth motion, she reached behind herself and hooked her thumb into the waistband of her sweats, pulling down one side just enough to expose the curve of a single bare cheek.
Jeff's heart skipped a beat.
She held it there for barely two seconds. She never even glanced back to see if he was looking. Just a slow, almost innocent shift as she tugged the waistband back into place and straightened it again.
She didn't even turn her head. But she smiled to herself, wondering if he saw that she wasn't wearing panties, like he'd told her in his text. Truth was, she'd never bothered to put any back on last night, and so she just slipped on her sweats this morning.
Jeff sat in shock for just a second. His heart was thudding in his chest. That had been for him. No question. And if she thought he wasn't going to respond...
He pushed off the couch and moved toward her, quietly sneaking up behind her. Dad was still talking, and Mom was still facing the stove.
By the time he reached his sister, her sweats were back in place, but she'd stayed still, leaning forward on her elbows like nothing had happened.
He stepped in close, close enough to smell the lotion she always used, and slipped his hand down the back of her sweats in one sharp movement, his whole hand palming the bare skin of her ass and squeezing.
Stephanie jumped, breath catching. Her whole body flinched. She shoved him backward with a look that screamed, Are you serious?
Jeff stumbled, caught off guard more by her reaction than her strength. His heel caught the edge of an area rug and he staggered sideways, bumping into the corner of a wall with a thud.
"Jeff?" mom called turning around. "You okay?"
"Yeah," he said quickly, straightening. "Just tripped on the rug. I'm good."
Stephanie was biting her lip, eyes wide, cheeks flushed. She didn't say anything, just grabbed a bottle of water from the counter and walked off to go get dressed and finish getting ready to leave.
Jeff watched her go, jaw tight, a grin tugging at the edge of his mouth.
Vacation was going to be hell, but oh so fun. And he couldn't wait.
Dad went to check for the paperwork for the boat rental on his phone while mom disappeared into their room to change, still chattering about sunscreen and bug spray. Jeff rinsed out his juice glass and took the opportunity to try and will his erection away once more. He was still half-hard after putting his hand down her pants and had no idea how he was supposed to ride in the backseat with Stephanie after yesterday's car ride.
By the time he'd thrown on a clean T-shirt and grabbed his sandals, she was already out of the bathroom, fresh ponytail, new tank top, and a pair of fitted athletic shorts that highlighted her ass and showed way too much leg for his sanity. She didn't say a word when they passed each other in the hall. Just smirked.
Ten minutes later, they were piling into the SUV. Dad drove, mom up front with a folded paper map on her lap "just in case." Stephanie approached the car on Jeff's side instead of walking around to her own door. Without saying a word, she opened it and slowly climbed in ahead of him. One knee on the seat, before planting the other on the floor, her back arched slightly as she half crawled across to the other side, giving him an unapologetic view of her ass in those tight athletic shorts.
She didn't look at him once, just slid into place on the opposite side, adjusted her seatbelt, and stared straight ahead like nothing had happened. Jeff stood there for a half-second frozen in place, heart thudding, then climbed in after his sister. They didn't speak, but when his leg brushed hers, she didn't pull away, so he left it.
As dad started the engine and mom unfolded the map in the front seat, Jeff leaned back and pulled out his phone. Focusing on it as he quickly typed.
Jeff: Are you wearing anything under those shorts? Because it didn't look like it.
He hit send, then turned his head slightly, watching her trying to not draw attention in case dad looked back in the mirror, or anything. Stephanie's phone buzzed in her lap. She didn't react immediately, knowing it had to be from him, and just let it sit there for a moment before casually unlocking the screen with a swipe of her thumb. Her eyes flicked down, reading the message, then over to him.
She gave him a smile, clearly meant to tease him, lips pressed together tight like she was holding back from laughing, and then lifted one shoulder, tilting her head in a small, infuriating shrug.
That was it. No reply, no clarification. Just that subtle look and the wordless answer.
Jeff's grip on his phone tightened slightly as she turned her focus back out the window, knowing she was intentionally leaving him stewing. He shifted in his seat, trying to ignore the growing tension in his groin and the way his pulse had picked up.
The small town near the lake was exactly what Stephanie remembered with quaint streets, hand-painted signs, and stores that leaned more on charm than variety. Dad parked near a row of shops that backed up to the marina, the air already warming with sun, now that it was mid-morning.
They split up quickly, agreeing that mom and dad would head over to the marina to sign the last of the paperwork, and the rental fees for the boat. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Jeff were supposed to head over to the small shop that passed as a grocery store, to pick up the perishables, mom didn't want to risk bringing in a cooler.
