Arthuriana

The evil Red Knight, under orders of Morgana Le Fay, goes out to the Lake and abducts Viviana the Lady of the Lake. She is imprisoned in a cave where a giant green dragon guards her day and night. Morgana appears to King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table during a feast. She tells them that Viviana whose powers help to heal the land is in danger of death by the Dragon. She challenges Gareth to fight the Red Knight and to save Viviana. Gareth takes up the challenge. Blessed by Merlin's magic, he sets off to a field outside the Black Forest. In the open field, he fights the Red Knight. They are both on horseback and fighting with swords. The horses fall and run away and the Red Knight and Gareth are now fighting hand to hand combat. Gareth wins. The Red Knight is defeated and killed. Gareth enters the cave and fights the dragon, slaying the dragon. He then rescues Viviana. Viviana makes love to him to show her gratitude and to endow him with her powers. Gareth returns to Camelot in triumph. Morgana, enraged, vows revenge.
