Mick and Keri Pt. 20
Chapter 20
Keri, Mick and Friends Have An Adventure - Part 2
Keri walked back to the limo, smiling at how the weekend was going to go. She had her Mick, the two hot flight attendants and Memphis blues music. Not to mention the hot tub and the oversize California king bed.
Mick looked over at Keri with an interesting smile as the ground crew unloaded her Roland keyboard, his and Sara's guitars, and the luggage from the plane. All was loaded into a big Escalade which waited for us in front of the hanger.
"OK, kids, let's head to the hotel," Keri said with a smile.
"Um, boss?" Sarah chimed in. "Do we have separate rooms or are we all in the same bed together?"
"Oh, no bed sharing for you and Danny. You have a room to yourself. I hope you don't mind. It has a huge bed and a huge shower and a huge balcony and a huge hot tub."
"Really," Sarah gushed. "All for Danny and me?"
"Yes. But don't get your fingers all pruney before we hit the blues jams."
When Keri said the words 'blues jams' my ears perked up. That explained the women's musical instruments but four white people going to a blues jam in Memphis might work or it might not. I took Keri's arm and pulled her to me.
"My love, what have you got planned?"
"We're in Memphis and we're going to sit in on some blues jams."
"Keri, the last I heard the blues jams in Memphis were for pro musicians."
"I know, but I made some calls."
"Calls?"
"Calls!"
I looked at Sarah and Danny, they certainly had no idea of what was going on.
"Yvonne and Lynn are going to join us later. All we need to do is show up and sign in and hit the stage when they call us."
"And you're aware that some of the clubs require singers to bring their own mics?"
"I told you, dear. I made some calls. First, we are all now lifetime members of the Memphis Blues Society. That gets us on stage at some restricted clubs that only allow members or take them on a first up basis.
"Second, I got you a Shure 55SH Series II Mic. You're going to love it and the look will get everyone's attention and show that you are not some amateur schmuck."
"Keri! I AM an amateur schmuck!"
"But you are a talented one with a wonderful voice and stage presence. This is a vintage looking mic and will make you look very cool."
Keri gave me a kiss on the tip of my nose after saying that. We went to the Escalade and a man got out of the driver's side and looking at the women moving to the passenger side of the big SUV he quickly moved to that side and opened the door for Keri and Sarah. Danny opened the driver side passenger door and got in. Sarah saw that and got into the passenger side first, sliding over and placing a hand on her man's crotch.
"Well that's not fair," Keri said as she got in next to her bodyguard.
I chuckled at my girl and was about to get into the front passenger seat when Keri asked from the back seat, "Mick? Do you know where we're going?"
"No."
"Then shouldn't I be in the front seat?"
"But I called shotgun."
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"You didn't!"
"I did! You were heading to the SUV and I specifically remember watching your ass and saying, "I love that ass!""
"What? What does that have to do with shotgun?"
Keri gave me the look she normally does when I say something dumb. I looked at her raising my eyebrows, feigning complete innocence.
"Mick... You're not making any sense."
"Who? Me? You have a great ass!"
"Shotgun?"
"I called it first."
"MICK!"
"Yes, my love."
"I never told the driver where we were going. So unless you know our destination, I should be in front."
"Of course you should. Why'd you get in the back?"
Of course by this time the driver was looking totally confused and Sarah and Danny were turning bright red trying not to laugh out loud.
"Mick O'Dell. My love. My dear. Switch seats with me and let me give the drivers the directions."
"Yes, Keri."
I got out of the front passenger seat and as Kendi walked around the open door, I took her in my arms and kissed her. She wrapped me in her arms so I slid my hands down to her ass and squeezed as hard as I could.
"Ooh! Mick! Let's get back in the plane. That bed is closer."
"Nope. You wanted shotgun."
"I want your shotgun in my pussy," she declared quietly.
"Not until we get to where we're going," I said.
"Then get your manly ass in the back and let me get us to the hotel."
"Yes, Keri."
I got in the back seat, next to Sarah. She was laughing and had a death grip on Danny's cock through the fabric of his pants. I looked at them and smiled, they just shook their heads at me. Keri got into the front passenger seat and the driver closed her door before running around and getting into his seat. I wondered what he was thinking of the mad group he'd just picked up.
He took off, not quite as fast as he could have if getting rid of us was his goal. Keri gave him our destination and then she turned back to us.
"When we get to the hotel, I'll have the bell captain get our stuff up to the rooms. We'll stay in the car and then we'll go out to dinner. I want to try some of this famous Memphis BBQ."
"BBQ? Sounds good. I know nothing of Memphis BBQ."
Keri spoke from the front seat.
"OK Mr. Driver. Who has the best BBQ spare ribs in Memphis?"
The driver didn't hesitate a second and said, "That's easy for me. It's Corky's. But you have to understand that there are probably three or four others that some would say are the best."
"It's like KC BBQ. The same style executed in a different manner," I added from the back.
"Pretty much," the driver replied. "Memphis is more dry rub and the sauce is added at the table. In KC, as I recall from my days living there, the meat is smoked with the sauce on it and no dry rub or spices."
"Yeah, that's right. What did you do in KC?"
"I went to Rockhurst High School and College," the driver said. "Then the Army. Now I own this limo company that caters to the high end visitor to Memphis."
"What's your name?" Keri asked.
"Colton Cotton, ma'am."
"Well Colton, I'm Keri. The man I was dealing with is my other half, Mick. The other two are my body guard Sara and her man, Danny. After BBQ we'll be looking to go to some local jam sessions and sitting in to play some blues. Would you like to join us and have a little fun along with driving?"
"As long as I can do it without drinking. I won't drink and drive."
"That's perfect, Colton, and of course, you'll be on the clock," Keri said. "I won't ask you to take time away from your home and family for free."
"Thanks, Keri but I'm single. I guess I'm married to my little company. I don't even have time for a girlfriend."
Keri looked back at me and smiled before quietly saying, "The girls are going to like him."
Just then Keri's phone rang. She answered it and it was Yvonne.
"Hi Keri! We're done with the plane and are in the car heading for the hotel to change clothes."
"Hi Yvonne. We're heading to the hotel as well and then we're going to Corkey's BBQ. We're almost to the hotel, I think. Colton, how close are we?"
"We're about ten minutes away."
"Yvonne, we'll be at the hotel in ten minutes, have the bell hop take our bags to our rooms and then head straight to Corky's. We'll get tables and wait for you. And I think I might have a nice surprise for you."
"A surprise for me?"
"For you and Lynn. See you at the restaurant," Keri moved to hang up and then stopped suddenly. "Yvonne!"
"Still here."
"Are you and Lynn in uniform?"
"Yes."
"Hang on," Keri instructed. "Colton, how do you fell about women in uniform?"
"What sort of uniform. I'm not a fan of women Marines."
"Yvonne, don't worry about going to the hotel to change. Just get your asses over to Corkey's ASAP."
"Will do,"Yvonne confirmed.
"Great!" Keri said with a big, happy, smile. "Colton, I think I've found you a date for the evening. You do like girls don't you?"
"Yes, I like girls a lot."
"How about two girls?" Keri said looking at me with an evil grin.
**********
Colton pulled the Escalade into the parking lot at Corkey's. The building looked like a modernized old roadhouse shack. It was clean and looked like it was part former gas station. In other words, very cool. Colton parked so we could all fully open our doors.
As we got to the front door, Colton quickly moved in front of us and opened the door. Each of us thanked him as we entered. Keri went in first and went to the first server she could get to and asked if anything special had to be done to accommodate a party of seven.
The young man said, "Inside or out?"
"I don't understand," Keri admitted.
"Inside the restaurant or outside in the garage area."
"Is the garage area hot?"
"It can be."
"Then let's stay inside so we can smell the smoke and the good food."
"OK. Give me a minute to pull some tables together."
The server walked away and quickly moved two tables together and then reset the chair placement before coming back and leading us to the seats. Keri pointed Colton to sit in a seat so he could see the front door and had an open chair on each side of his. Then she directed Sarah and Danny to their seats and me to mine next to her.
"What can I get you folks to drink?" The server asked.
We each ordered unsweet tea, except Colton who ordered sweet tea. Just after the drink orders were taken the front door opened and Yvonne and Lynn, in their flight attendant uniforms walked in. Keri waved at the women and then looked at Colton. His eye lit up at the sight of the two very attractive flight attendants.
"Hi Keri!" Lynn said first, followed by the taller Yvonne.
"Hi girls! Come on over and pick a seat. This is Colton, our driver and guide."
The two women took seats on either side of the stunned driver and introduced themselves.
"Hello, Colton. I'm Yvonne," she offered her hand and Colton shook it.
"Hi Colton. I'm Lynn," she offered her hand and Colton shook it as well.
The two women looked at Keri, she smiled and in one smooth movement, both the flight attendant put their hands on Colton's lap. He jumped, being startled, and looked at Keri and me. I just did my usual innocent smile and shrugged my shoulders.
He understood the silent man code for "Don't ask me" and put his arms around the two women's chairs and accepted the ride he was apparently going on. The server returned with our drinks and I ordered a BBQ sampler plate, that had sausage, ribs, and brisket along with okra, beans, and potato salad.
We all had a good time, especially Colton who never had less than one of each flight attendants hands on his cock. The girls were truly put out when we left and Colton had to drive the Escalade and the girls had to drive their car. Lynn had to pry Yvonne's hand off Colton's hard on before they could get to the car.
Once inside the Escalade, Keri had to ask the big question.
"Colton, are Yvonne and Lynn too much for you? I can tell them to back off or I can tell one of them that she is out of the picture."
"I've never had a dinner like that. Not even when I was posted overseas in the Army. Both women are fantastic. Are they really flight attendants or are they really hookers?"
"They are real flight attendant for a private company that I hire often. The times we've been with them they've never asked for extra money for sex. I think they just like sex... a lot. They live together and they are lovers. We always ask for them to be our attendant when we lease a plane. Sometime we get to our destination and they go off on their own. Our pilot and copilot are both gay so they don't go off with them. So same question, both, one or the other or neither?"
Colton stopped at the next stop light and looked at Keri and then me.
"I've never been in a situation like this. I don't want to get a reputation for my company."
"Colton, unless you tell people, anything you do will be between you and whoever you do it with. Now we would like to go to this address next. I'll call the girls and let them know."
Keri handed Colton and address and he punched it into his GPS and off we went. Keri got on her phone and called Yvonne. Lynn answered the call.
"Hi Keri, how's Colton?"
"He's fine but doesn't know what to do about you two. He's never run into women acting like you two. I just gave him the address for the blues jam we're going to go to. Do you want to join us or fend for yourselves?"
"We don't want to come on too strong and chase him off. Yvonne and I have been talking and we would both like to come with you and see if one of us clicks with Colton."
"What about you both clicking?"
"I guess it could happen. You know us, we wouldn't mind but we wouldn't be turned off if only one of us clicked."
"OK. Follow us and be ready for some blues."
Keri disconnected the call and smiled at me then she looked into the back seat of the Escalade to see Sarah and Danny cuddling. She looked back to me and snuggled close.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how you are accepted in this town. The folks in Boise keep saying that they've never heard a man with your sort of voice."
"I've heard several men with a voice like mine. I don't think I'll be a surprise to anyone."
"Colton, the girls say that they want to join us to see if one or both click with you. They're not going to be crazy aggressive. They both seem to like you."
"I've never had women get after me like that. I thought I was going to rip through my pants back at Corkey's. That was strange."
"You didn't seem to be freaking out."
"What was I gonna do? Two women had a death grip on my dick."
"Well, I'll let you know, if you had said stop, they would have let go and stopped bothering you... as much. Both of them will give you a night of loving you'll never forget if you want or they'll be the nicest, sweetest, dates as well. And you might even get a kiss goodnight."
"I'm just not used to women being that aggressive towards me."
"I'll talk to them to be sure. Now get us to the blues bar!"
"Yes ma'am."
Colton drove like he'd been here a hundred times. He weaved, sped up, slowed down, all in tempo with the traffic. Then he pulled up in front of a small building. There were cars randomly parked all around it. Two very old black men were sitting in chairs smoking and flicking the ashes into a couple of coffee cans.
We got out as Colton popped the back of the SUV. I grabbed the equipment bag with the new mic and wires. Sarah grabbed her guitar case and Keri picked up her keyboard case. We headed for the door as Yvonne and Lynn pulled up and parked next to us.
"Wait for us!" Lynn called out as the girls ran to straddle Colton, each taking a hand in theirs.
The men at the door looked at us and the nearest asked, "Are y'all folks sure you in da right place? You knows dis be a blues bar and juke joint."
"Yes sir," Keri answered. "We know and we're happy to be here. Who do we see inside if we want to sit in?"
"Sit in? That would be Miss French. She'll be the one with the white hair and red dress," the farthest man from the door said.
I opened the door and everyone filed in. When I got in the back of the line I looked at the two old men and said, "Thank you."
"Don't thank us. If you gonna play, you gonna have to be good."
I smiled and nodded as I stepped inside. It took a few minutes to get used to the darkness inside. When my eyes got used to the light I saw a good sized room. From the way the building was set outside it looked like it was going to be a small room, but inside the place expanded into a much larger room in the back.
The smell in the air was of cigarette smoke, beer, and grease. To the left was a bar that ran to the middle of the back area. All the way in the back was a good sized stage filled with amps and speakers. I immediately noticed two things.
First, Keri was standing to the side of the stage talking to a middle aged black woman with white hair and wearing a red dress. They were talking and seemed to be in a friendly mood. Colton and his two women took seats on the left side of the room. With Danny and Sarah.
The next thing I noticed was the fact that we were the only white people in the building. I walked over to Keri and she put an arm around me and said, "Mick, this is Miss French. She's the owner of this place and runs the jam session."
I reached out my hand and she took it.
"Miss French, I'm Mick O'Dell. I hope you don't mind if we ask to sit in when the jam starts."
"I've already asked her, Mick, and she has no problem. She's just telling me that we all might not get up together because of the way they run things. She also said that some of the players might not want white folks sitting in on a black folks jam."
"Miss French, We won't do anything to anger anyone. Keri here is a heck of a piano player. Sarah over there has been playing for a short time but she plays from the heart."
"And what about you, Mr. Mick O'Dell? What is your instrument?"
"Ma'am, I don't play an instrument."
"Mick is a singer and has a very distinctive voice."
"Uh huh."
"Miss French, you can set us up together or separate. We'll do our best to not embarrass anyone."
The woman looked me head to toe and then Keri.
"Our place's piano is a bit busted down. I see you've brought your own. That might make it rough to fit if but we'll see what we can do. So where are you from and what's the name of your band?"
"We're from the area around Boise, Idaho and we aren't a band. We get together with other musicians on Monday nights and play blues, R&B, and rock."
"OK. Well set up your keyboard over there to the side of the stage and plug into that orange amp. Mr. O'Dell, we ask that visitors use their own mics..."
I jumped right in, "Yes ma'am. I have a mic with me."
"OK, just to be safe. Since we don't know you. For the first song you sing, I'll join you."
"You're worried that I can sing or that I have a terrible voice. I understand. You got a nice place and you don't want someone stinking it up."
"You know, for a white guy, you seem to have a grasp of the realities."
"Yup. So what should we do? Something simple like Kansas City? And by the way I will not do Mustang Sally."
The woman smiled and had an expression like she knew that I got it. I helped Keri set up the keyboard and the bass player showed her where to plug it in. When she was set, the sound guy came over the monitor and asked her to play a little so he could get a level.
Keri ran through a few scales and finger exercises and then rolled into a standard blues progression in the key of A. The sound guy smiled and thanked her. Then he went to Sarah and did the same thing with her. He moved on and quickly had the other players set up.
Sarah came to me and said, "The sound guys has everyone set up so fast."
"If the rest of the players are regulars he probably already has their levels memorized or written on tape on the sound board. Us newbies are the ones that take time. I screwed my mic onto a spare mic stand and plugged the cable into the jack the sound guy directed me to.
His voice came over the monitor, "Sir would you please speak in a regular voice for me?"
I did the obligatory "Testing, one, two, three." And "Peter Piper Licked A Peck Of Pickled Peppers" so he could tell if I popped my 'P's. I didn't.
I went to the table that Colton, Yvonne, Lynn, and Danny had taken. Sarah and Keri joined us. A waitress came over and we all ordered PBR beers and sat back to take in the atmosphere or this pretty old blues bar.
Miss French walked onto the stage and announced that the sign ups were open. There was no rush to the stage, but a goodly number of men and women stood and formed a line. We joined them and as we stood in line, each of us struck up a conversation with the people in front and behind us. Everyone was friendly. Not warm but polite.
