Mick and Keri Pt. 39 - Epilogue

Epilogue

At the end of the summer, after swim season was over and the team was on break, Mick and Keri held their long awaited wedding. Of course, Barb and the kids came back from Japan, serving as Maid of Honor and Best Man. Sarah and Danny, their son Michael, came back from Colorado. Many of the kids Mick coached and their parents, who Mick had also coached, came to the wedding. All of the people at Keri's company came. Even private airline flight attendants Lynn and Yvonne showed up.

At the reception, Mick announced to the team that he was retiring. He'd already alerted the Board of Directors and they had done a search for a new coach during the previous months. The new coach was introduced and it was decided that he would be transitioning in during the end of Summer break.

The reception was a serious party with live music supplied by the guys from the blues jam. It was the first time the athletes or their parents had heard Mick sing with a live band. He sat in for an entire set and afterwards, even the swimmers considered him to be a rock star.

After the reception the newlyweds went back to Keri and Mick's home and Mick presented Barb with an engagement ring and a wedding band just like the one he'd given to Keri. Mick and Keri asked Barb to be they're wife. Keri, Barb and Mick shared the wedding bed that night.

Barb agreed that Keri was Mick's center and that she and the kids made up the center of a slightly larger familiar circle. It was Barb who insisted that Kari be the one Mick officially married. Barb also seemed to take particular delight about being Mick's fiery, red-headed mistress for life.

Their love making that night was not a raucous romp like the night they'd made young Mick and Keri years earlier. There was a good amount of laughing, moaning, giggling, and cumming. Not bad for three old folks. For the honeymoon they all went back to Japan for a month. Young Mick and Keri took their father on fun-filled tours of the places they liked to hang out and hosted a reception to introduce their friends to their American Uncle and Aunt.

Keri, Mick, and Barb became a married trio in fact if not in legal terms. Keri and Mick lived in the States but they flew back to Japan every couple of months, staying for three to four weeks. This continued until the kids graduated from high school. Then Barb and the children moved back to the States and into the house with Keri and Mick.

A few days after young Mick and Keri moved to Boise, they went to the registration office at Boise State University and signed up for classes. Paying cash for their classes made it easier to sign up well before the normal registration period. Years later both kids graduated with honors, Keri with an MBA and Mick with his law degree. Both worked at Keri's company during their schooling.

After the kids graduations from Boise State, Keri retired from the company that she had finally purchased from the other partners, but before she left, she sold 24.5% of the company to young Mick and Keri each for $1.00. They took over the operations with Keri as the silent controlling partner.

Mick, Keri and Barb spent years checking off things they wanted to do that they'd done and loved before they were together. They traveled, they made love in hundreds of cities. They leased a remote beach and camped out there, living naked for two weeks with Lynn and Yvonne and their spouses. They returned home for young Mick's and for young Keri's weddings and for the birth of each of their grandkids.

Barb, Keri and Mick lived and slept together every night for the rest of their lives, and continued to make love a lot. Thanks to Barb and Keri, Mick never suffered erectile dysfunction even into his mid 90's. In the end, it could be confidently said they all lived happily ever after.

Barb passed away in her sleep at the age of 97, she was being held by her husband Mick and her wife Keri when she breathed her last. Their children, Mick and Keri, and their grandchildren were present.

Keri passed away in Mick's arms at the age of 99, surrounded by the whole family.

Mick passed away at 101, surrounded by his son, Mick, and daughter, Keri, and their families.

Mick was buried in their family plot between Barb and Keri. The individual headstones each said "Loving Wife of Mick" and his said "Grateful Husband of Keri and Barb".
