Monday morning Brent followed me to the school. I drove separate, as I had a couple stops at BASU to make after classes. I had the classroom open and ready in plenty of time for my senior Calculus students to enter and get seated. Jack and Sam arrived together as usual.

The other asked, "And they're letting you attend classes here, in the nude?"

I smiled, "Actually, I start as an instructor here during the summer session. I'm new to the Math Department."

I shrugged my shoulders, "I guess it takes a student, or students asking to know. I'm Janice Butler by the way. Great to meet you two."

He nodded, "Back and to the left. Let me know if I can help with anything."

I headed back, passing a few students along the way. I found an inexpensive in/out box, erasable markers, sticky tape stuff for the white board, then looked at the whiteboards. I put my stuff on the counter. I asked, "Free delivery? I want to get a 36x48 whiteboard."

The clerk laughed. But a student, a guy, "I'll carry it for you. You said 36x48?"

I nodded, "Thank you, yeah."

He went off to grab one as the clerk started ringing up the order. It didn't take a minute, the guy was back with the whiteboard. All I had to do was tap my badge to the payment device like a credit card, and sign. The student grabbed the whiteboard and followed me, or walked beside me all the way to my office in the other building. We talked along the way. Finishing his freshman year towards a degree in physics, he may be taking a math course with me.

Stepping in my office, he asked, "Where would you like it? I'll hang it for you."

I walked over to an area of the side wall away from the door, "Kinda centered here."

He took the sticky tape from my desk and got it ready to hang. He held it up, "About here?"

I nodded, "Yeah, that would work out great."

He lightly stuck one corner, "How does it look for level?"

I stood back, "Up a bit on the right, a bit more, stop. That's it."

He lightly stuck that corner, then put sticky tape on the lower corners. Then he pressed hard on each corner, "That'll do it."

I asked, "How much can I pay."

He cut me off, "Oh, no. My pleasure. Great to meet you. I hope to have one of your classes in the future."

I smiled, "Well, thank you. I really appreciate your help."

He waved as he left. I wasn't far behind him, leaving for the parking lot and the drive home.

Brent met me on the front porch. We shared a kiss before going in. I placed my heels from school at the base of the stairs. Brent had a glass of wine poured and ready for me as we headed to the back porch. After we sat down at the table, "Turned in my notice today."

Brent sat back, "How did that go?"

I smiled, "Not as bad as I expected." I went through my talk with Ms. Kang, and she understood after I explained everything. Then I told him about getting a few things for my office at the bookstore.

Brent smiled, "Good to know. I have an interview Thursday with the Academy. Just to listen. But it might spur Sunny Glen to offer a raise?"

I smiled, "Ms. Kang said year end is a busy time for her."

I started grading homework as Brent started warming the grill before joining me grading homework himself. After a bit, he added potatoes to bake. The steaks would go on later, and not for long. After dinner, I still had some homework to grade. But it didn't take long.

Brent had everything cleaned up from dinner. When I was ready, I folded open the hot tub cover and climbed in. Brent topped off our wine glasses and joined me. He talked about his interview and the school. Highly rated with a high tuition rate, "They probably have a better budget and higher salaries."

I nodded, "We can save up money for some travel."

Brent smiled, "Been saving up for a rustic log beam carport, that'll go with the cabin."

I smiled, "Oh, that would be nice." I paused, "Thinking I need to update my jewelry collection. I've been noticing what other women, the girls wear at BASU. There's a subtle show of money. A pair of nice earrings, and maybe a bracelet to go with this school necklace."

Brent smiled, "I know a little place. One day after work, shopping?"

I nodded, "Yeah, tomorrow. Or Wednesday. Next week? We'll pick a day, and eat out too."

Brent smiled, "Wednesday. That way you have them for the weekend.

I smiled, "Then I can make a quick stop to my office after school tomorrow. Move some stuff in, like my diplomas. Start decorating it. I'm getting excited."

Brent nodded, "Kinda like having two jobs, losing interest in the one you're leaving."

I nodded, "I might stay and finish my class outlines. That would free up the whole weekend."

He smiled, "Yeah. Get that done. Wednesday will be our evening. If you don't finish, there's Thursday evening while I'm at the interview for, who knows how long?"

I nodded, "Great idea. I might be able to meet with Mr. Grainger Thursday."

After about an hour in the hot tub, we headed to the outdoor shower to rinse off. Getting in the nice warm water with him, I gave him a long passionate kiss. I smiled and we shared another long deep kiss. Then another and another as I put my arms around his neck.
